Then we propose a new protocol that can counter this attack by considering the effective period of both the mesh points (MPs) when decide the lifetime of the key shared between them. We also amend 802.11s draft in order not to bring about a fundamental change to the whole key hierarchy, and propose a protocol to refresh the shared key when it expired. Then we prove the security of the protocol using Protocol Composition Logic (PCL).","PeriodicalId":445284,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Information Management and Engineering","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114071335","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the same time it is becoming difficult to obtain really relevant web pages on a specific topic. Therefore it becomes very important today to extract web pages related to certain information topically. Recently it has become popular to call a collection of web pages sharing certain information as web community. Identifying good quality web community is still a challenging problem. Different notions and methods for identifying web communities have been proposed. In this paper we provide a frame work for identifying web communities using link based approaches. We have discussed and analyzed various link based approaches for identifying web communities. Based on extensive survey we have tried to identify problems/limitations of these approaches and discussed some extensions of these approaches","PeriodicalId":445284,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Information Management and Engineering","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116129451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Typically software development life cycle includes, development activity and post release activities. The post release activities cover software maintenance and support. It is inevitable to deny the significance of software maintenance and support activities due to fairly a large size of the software. In this study we are analyzing the relationship of team size, application size and software maintenance and support activities. We used the latest dataset of International Standard Benchmark Group data repository containing the software maintenance and support information to conduct this empirical investigation. The results of this empirical investigation further reinforce the current perceptions of the significantly important role of application size, team structure and size on the software maintenance and support activities.","PeriodicalId":445284,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Information Management and Engineering","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121214438","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such work extends existing methods in SISO case and is superior to the existing results in MISO case by combining the statically and dynamically constructive methods. After comparing with some other typical methods, detailed theoretical reasoning and numerical example both confirm that the method in this paper will reduce the fuzzy rules number dramatically. At last, some conclusions and discussion on further work are also given.","PeriodicalId":445284,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Information Management and Engineering","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116708251","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study was conducted in Turkish Ministry of Health’s public hospitals that need urgent solutions for financial issues in Turkey. 800 hospitals were covered and financial and operational data of the year 2005 were used in the study. We used Chi-Square Automatic Interaction Detector (CHAID) Decision Tree Algorithm as a data mining method to discover hidden and useful pattern in a large amount of data and then determine the impact factors that provided steps for road maps. According to the results of the study, it was determined that financial performances of 1.75 % (14 hospitals) of the covered hospitals were high, whereas 98.25% (786 hospitals) of them displayed as low. Also covered hospitals were categorized in 7 different profiles in terms of level of financial performance by CHAID algorithm. According to these profiles, we developed 2 different financial road maps for the low performer hospitals to improve their financial performance.","PeriodicalId":445284,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Information Management and Engineering","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124965623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Lo, Ying-Chieh Wang, Shiou-Wen Yeh","doi":"10.1109/ICIME.2009.9","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ICIME.2009.9","url":null,"abstract":"Collaborative writing, one of the methodological innovations for language teaching, is \"the social act of creating a single, coordinate document with two or more participants\". Revision is the last process for writing. Corrective feedback and error correction, critical tasks for revision, are important for English as a Second Language/English as a Foreign Language (ESL/EFL) writing instruction. Research findings showed that students' major difficulty in error correction lies in their failure to detect errors. Also, researchers proposed that error analysis can be reinvented in the form of computer-aided error analysis, a new type of computer corpus annotation. Annotations on digital documents can be easily shared among groups of people, making them valuable for a wide variety of tasks, including providing feedback. Collaborative corrective feedback and error correction with asynchronous annotation systems have been developed by researchers. It is suggested that collaborative teams can be enhanced by applying collaboration in a synchronous environment. However, few synchronous annotation systems are developed for corrective feedback and error correction. This study developed a web-based online synchronous collaborative writing revision instrument for collaborative writing revision. With this system, users can collaboratively make corrective feedback and error corrections on digitized documents in a synchronous environment. It is implemented on the general web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, with online annotations in the same way as the traditional paper-based correction approach. Another innovative functionality developed in this system is that the user can freely switch between the annotation mode and the review mode to neatly review the \"right\" article after correction without showing the correction marks to reduce the problem of cognitive overload.","PeriodicalId":445284,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Information Management and Engineering","volume":"105 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115029070","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, most of the existing customer segmentation approaches are for certainty segmentation, which cannot objectively describe customer’s random and uncertain behavior. Therefore, this article proposes an index system of dynamic customer segmentation based on customer lifetime value, and reveals that more comprehensive comparison and analysis can be conducted on target customers along four dimensions, namely, service application strength, service core value, service substitutability, and service core value extension. Through China Telecom's database mining, the specific evaluation indices for the telecom industry are introduced, achieving dynamic customer segmentation and increasing the objectivity of this index system in describing customer behavior.","PeriodicalId":445284,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Information Management and Engineering","volume":"2012 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114472407","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As network structure, a model proposed by Newman and Watts is considered and the synchronizability is obtained both by numerically solving the differential equations and by the master-stability-function method. In addition to diffusive electrical couplings, the effect of having excitatory chemical connections is also addressed and the complementary role of chemical synapses to the electrical one in providing complete synchrony in the network is shown.","PeriodicalId":445284,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Information Management and Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123227693","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
