It is established that the speeches, essays, and documents demonstrate the conflict between two ideological discourses: Soviet patriarchal masculine and feminine within the opposition dissident information flow. It is revealed that the legally enshrined “equality” in society resulted in a directly proportional negative effect for women: women’s disenfranchisement. Through manipulation, distortion, and stereotyping in the media, the Soviet official regime restricted women’s social roles, rights, and freedoms, including freedom of choice, decent wages, the penitentiary system’s inability to meet women’s needs, gender conflict in the judicial system, deprivation of maternal rights, and the emergence of so-called “criminal/political orphans,” and prohibited them from expressing their national identity. At the same time, the texts under study offer “unofficial” stereotypes of women as fighters, intellectuals, etc. the journalism of N. Svitlychna and N. Strokataya reflects the information of the world community about the dissidents’ struggle for the rights of all women in Soviet society, as well as for their own, the struggle against the restriction of their own human rights and the lack of proper legal protection, bullying and psychological experiments during the investigation and unjust sentences.

The author’s attention is focused on the approaches conceiving the complicated conflict landscape of today. The problem of defining the term the Gray Zone (or Grey Zone) and the possibility of using relevant terms in the journalistic text while analyzing modern international conflicts is considered in detail. It is proposed to deepen the level of analysis of hybrid war phenomena due to the use of the terms “complicated conflict landscape/“gray zone”/“gray strategy” by journalists writing on international topics.\u0000With regard to the Russian-Ukrainian war, the correct use of the terms of international issues of mass media is of great importance. In terms of the application of concepts and terms, it is necessary to distinguish in which journalistic genres the author is expected to address this problem, namely, which material is being written: is it informational or analytical one. According to the informational genres, if the mass media reports on a separate event that is clearly in the context of the “gray zone” phenomenon, a brief description of the level of the complicated conflict landscape can act as a background. Analytical genres look quite promising because of a more complex terminological level is assumed.\u0000In its further perspectives, the research is focused on the optimization of the practical side, the available results of the study can be used to improve the training of international journalists, in particular, it seems quite logical to take a future scientific task to clarify the terms of a secondary level.

Currently, there is a tendency that the cultural practices of the population are digitized to a greater extent than cultural institutions. Cultural institutions are not prepared for modernization in institutional, moral and technical ways. Creative industries demonstrate the greatest adaptation to modern conditions. At the same time, their experience is adopted by the most progressive leaders of state and communal cultural institutions by organizing special substructures that are engaged in fundraising. In general, the challenges for the modernization of the cultural industry in small cities provoke the following factors: lack of government support regarding the strategy for the development of culture and cultural institutions; lack of people’s need for public cultural leisure; lack of stimulation for innovations of cultural institutions; outdated material and technical base. Under lockdown conditions, the above factors have been supplemented by changes in the patterns of people’s cultural behavior, such as home viewing habits and conspicuous consumption of culture.\u0000The problem is this new audience has formed the expectations regarding the consumption of art which they demand from cultural actors. The conducted comprehensive study of the practices, expectations and needs of consumers and producers of culture can be used to establish communication between all actors of the cultural industry. This process is extremely important for forming a common vision of cultural modernization especially in regional cities of the country.

The article examines the materials of the Kyiv newspaper «Kievlyanin» on European problems of the late nineteenth century. News about European countries occupied a significant place in the Kyiv press. The role of the periodical press as the main channel for disseminating information and forming public opinion in the late nineteenth century was key. Research of the Ukrainian press of the XIX century has always occupied a prominent place in Ukrainian science. Today, some issues of Ukrainian history are unexplored or need to be rethought. The newspaper’s publications will help to find new information for understanding the relations between Ukraine and Europe over the centuries.\u0000The article examines the influence of the Russian Empire on these processes. «Kievlyanin» is the most widely circulated newspaper of the late nineteenth century in the region and reached a large audience. The influence of the Russian Empire on international affairs was evident in the pages ofthe newspaper. In most publications, relations between the Russian Empire and foreign countries are described as friendly. The main problems that arose in the columns of the then Kyiv publications were revealed. The frequency of coverage of international issues, forms of information presentation, sources of information, the place of such publications in the columns of the newspaper «Kievlyanin» are analyzed. Articles in the genre of notes, short news from Europe, reviews of the European press, less often analytical materials on politics, economics were most often published. It was found that current events in European countries in the late nineteenth century through the prism of the press were not the subject of scientific research of Ukrainian researchers.

Our article is an attempt to identify and describe the latest cross-media trends in the evolution of the domestic digital media sphere, based on the experience of implementing technological solutions in the work of modern journalism. The study is based on the fact of the indisputable and natural growth of the role of network technologies, in particular the rather controversial phenomenon of social networks, which have now moved from the category of consumer media to the rank of high-speed information providers. Accordingly, some aspects related to significant changes in the production of information content are described, namely the development of numerous digital tools designed to obtain and process information, its analysis, validation, visualization. The contradictions that accompany the ultra-fast implementation of the digital form of display in the process of presentation and transmission of data against the background of current needs of modern information consumption are highlighted. The impetus for the emergence of a new scientific discipline was the development of humanism after World War II. European and American scholars have begun to study the phenomenon of multiculturalism and the need for intercultural communication, trying to find features of communication between nations, to reach an understanding between them, to find scenarios for resolving conflicts and more.\u0000Our article complements the study of the multicultural nature of the European continent, the achievement of understanding between different nationalities, the importance of intercultural communication as a science and age-old intercultural conflicts on the example of essays by Karl Marcus- Gauss «European Alphabet». Modern essay writing is designed to change the world, inspire new actions and rethink behavior. Themes of multiculturalism, cosmopolitanism and equality have become more and more common among contemporary European and Ukrainian essayists. A striking example of such works is the collection of Karl-Marcus Gauss «European Alphabet» (1997). This is the «adult alphabet» of national inequality, economic racism, migration, multiculturalism.\u0000In conclusion, we can say that the study and further development of intercultural communication should contribute to improving the policy of multiculturalism, which is implemented by countries in Europe and the Americas. It is found out why it is important to consider the image today in the context of strategic communications. How Ukrainian politicians and their image-makers use a strategic vision, considering the regional context. After all, the involvement of various tools for building a strong image, no matter how effective, is not a guarantee of a high and long-term level of public confidence in the politician in the context of modern political discourse in Ukraine.\u0000Today, communication has become an integral part of human activity in all spheres of life in society. It has been established that communicative guidelines and authorial conceptuality had influenced the poetics and typology of the diary.\u0000Despite the fact that some scholars recognize texts of this type as «works of art» and the analyzed work does not have a traditional diary composition, we classify this text as a diary-fixation of events, where the author is a combatant, eyewitness and participant in events, in some detail (in facts, documents, evidence) reflects the realities of war. At the same time, it is a socio-political diary, deliberately written by the author for publication. Focusing on a wide readership, publishing parts of the diary on social networks and online publications in the absence of objective information about the war led to the format of the presentation, genre features, influenced the chronology, lack of confession and privacy in the text, intimate moments and more.
