For example, one can use the SMART method. Also, Gantt charts help the project manager to schedule and plan, which helps in decision-making for the project. Technology has created software for discovering the probability of the risk with algorithms and many mathematical methods. However, pre-existing literature does not show how these variables, their concepts, and models help in project management, which has resulted in a research gap. Thus, this study addresses the most current variables, their concepts, and models within operations and project management. With a design-science-investigate strategy, the authors approve a valuable growth reveal for reasonable and hypothetical application. Thus, they create a suitable assessment model to fill the research void, as well as to contribute to the engineering field by improving the project success rates and helping with team communication.","PeriodicalId":443888,"journal":{"name":"Int. The gap of communication could be resolved by implementing strategic approaches of communication management, so as to include all personnel in the organization. According to Neves and Eisenberger (2012), the literature of communication management has stated that it is a key factor for success. Furthermore, Ramsing (2009) claimed that in recent years, most project managers have different educational backgrounds, but they also have limited backgrounds in communication management. To overcome this problem, the authors will state the most effective strategies for managers to utilize for communication in a project. They believe that the there are four most effective strategies, which are the PMI communication strategy, the six main steps of communication strategy, understanding the direction of communication, and choosing the right communication channel.","PeriodicalId":443888,"journal":{"name":"Int. This study aims to examine total logistics costs during the execution of several cement projects in Indonesia within the period 2010-2018. The panel data method of eight cement projects in Indonesia has been developed, analysed, and measured. Due to the limited logistics infrastructures, the logistics cost rose to 27.129% of the Gross National Product (GNP) in Indonesia. Further, this paper provides suggestions for Indonesia's government to develop logistics infrastructure.","PeriodicalId":443888,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Appl. It also leads to colossal losses for those effected. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the challenges faced by the supply chain during the handling of disaster relief operations, namely drought. Adopting mixed research method involving both qualitative and quantitative, the focus is on performance of the supply chain in an organisation and residents of one of the most affected constituencies as a case study. Findings reflect that inadequate financial resources, restrictions on transport and difficulties associated with planning for the initial relief requirements of a distressed community are the main challenges for supply chain effectiveness in distribution the relief material. The strategies proposed, and recommendation made could be useful in improved supply chain for the effective handling of drought relief distribution and putting systems in place to the area of study and could help to align procedures for disaster response and aid in relief strategies.","PeriodicalId":443888,"journal":{"name":"Int. Specifically, this study examined the role of management frameworks currently utilized by organizations and their efficiency in supporting team collaboration, conflict management, and stakeholder management in project environments. The study utilized a two-prong research methodology to identify and to analyze current literature related to the scope and objective of this study. The study first deployed an exploratory and unstructured literature review and then a structured literature review to identify the pool of relevant articles and content. A systematic review was then performed to reduce the body of literature down to the critical few that could serve as the basis for the study's analysis. The results revealed the inadequacies of management frameworks in promoting healthy relationships between project managers and stakeholders. Furthermore, the study exposes a gap between formal communications planning, the actual execution, the implementation of the plan, and the poor implementation of organizational processes. The results also show the common types of conflict, the positive and negative effects that these have on project environments, project success, and the critical success factors in stakeholder management. In addition to identifying barrier and shortcomings, this article sheds light on improvement areas that will have the most significant effect on project success. The literature synthesis reveals the importance of soft skill in communication management. The results suggest that much work remains to be done by the organization to train and prepare managers in building relationships and developing soft skills. The literature has demonstrated that perception, values, team cohesion, the willingness to share, trust, and healthy relationships are most influential in project success, but in practice, the latter is not applied. In conclusion, this area needs improvement and further investigation.","PeriodicalId":443888,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Appl. In this article, a new genetic algorithm (NGA) is developed to obtain the optimum schedule for the minimization of total completion time of n-jobs in an m-machine flow shop operating without buffers. The working process of the present algorithm is very efficient to implement and effective to find the best results. To implement the proposed algorithm more effectively, similar job order crossover operators and inversion mutation operators have been used. Numerous examples are illustrated to explain proposed approach. Finally, the computational results indicate that present NGA performs much superior to the heuristics for blocking flow shop developed in the literature.","PeriodicalId":443888,"journal":{"name":"Int. This effort was motivated by the absence of defendable performance measures for the economic contribution of freight transportation services. The analysis revealed that the freight industry generates sizable ripple effects. While the trucking sector is the largest by absolute employment size, the spillovers of maritime freight and port services are about seven times their employment size. The impact of government spending is also significant. The study findings and method will help decision-makers understand the role that each freight mode plays to make more informed decisions on transportation investments. The economic indicators used in this study (jobs, income, and gross domestic product (GDP)) can be used to mitigate the negative perceptions of freight movement. While travel time reduction and increased business productivity (used in past studies) are useful performance measures, jobs and income measures are more informative for public discourse.","PeriodicalId":443888,"journal":{"name":"Int. Furthermore, obtaining numerous bits of knowledge about a business can help to influence planning and future choices. A way to create connections between various data points is through big data. Currently, business processes face many challenges because of technological headway and information age. Since big data has grown and become so popular, it is possible to apply it to unique and conventional business associations. Additionally, if big data is used to meet the business's needs, then it can yield organizational changes in infrastructure and real-world improvement. Through big data, analysts can reveal continuous improvement methods and a performance measurement system in data administration, as well as management, transactions, and convey central leadership.","PeriodicalId":443888,"journal":{"name":"Int. Concerning the background of e-commerce, this study tries to relate suppliers' awareness of promoting fresh food business with the logistic obstacles and consumer impacts. The article first introduces five guiding questions after reviewing present literature. To better understand the fresh food markets, it analyzes the operational model of respective suppliers in the UK and China separately. The article also describes primary data collection through the distribution of questionnaires to the sample population. According to the valid feedbacks, the article concludes different consuming trends in fresh food markets and finds that logistical services are still the biggest challenge which need to be improved. Based on the results, it provides recommendations to suppliers for improving the fresh food e-commerce.","PeriodicalId":443888,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Appl.
