The manuscript illustrates a laboratory-based data-acquisition setup and a mathematical data-processing algorithm to test a novel attitude maneuvering fluency estimation index termed geometric lurch. The geometric lurch index is defined in terms of angular variables’ values as returned by gyroscopic sensors that a quadcopter vehicle is equipped with. In this paper, we investigate the use of an adaptive notch filter to dampen oscillations caused by perturbations of the input voltage. Typically, time-frequency analysis is carried out using traditional techniques such as the Fourier Transform or the Short-Term Fourier Transform. However, both of these methods require the signal to be stationary in its entirety or to be broken down into the sum of several stationary signals. Thus, these techniques are limited in their application. We propose using the Hilbert-Huang Transform to analyse in the timefrequency domain and identify the frequency of the non-stationary input. Experimental procedure was divided into two sections: initial position, and left/right lateral bending position. To analyze the alteration of the trunk motion, ultrasound markers was represented the segments. There were significant differences in angle variation between left and right side during lateral bending for the scoliotic groups. In addition, angle differences between left and right side were decreased gradually according to the regions of scoliotic curvature. From these results, it was concluded that the direction and region of the abnormal lateral curvature can influence on dynamic trunk movement and postural balance. The effect of additive noise is also included in the analysis. Frequency instability of voltage and current waveforms is modeled as a random variable ranging within a given frequency interval. Propagation of both the uncertainty sources through the whole measurement process based on analogto- digital conversion and discrete Fourier transform is investigated. Power evaluation is performed by proper multiplication of waveforms spectra. In fact, the requirement of real-time monitoring prevents the use of sophisticated algorithms to cope with the frequency change before spectra multiplication. The curvature, location and width of the stator injector and the mass flow rate of air injection were tested to find their effects on the aerodynamic performances, such as total pressure ratio, peak adiabatic efficiency, stall margin and stable range extension. The numerical results for adiabatic efficiency and total pressure ratio were validated with experimental data for smooth casing. The system combines a 3D depth-sensing camera with a low-cost drone. The solution is based on Delicode Ltd’s NI mateTM software toolkit. In a study with 10 participants, the kinetic control method was tested and compared with the drone’s normal control mode. The speed to fly a certain path inside a building, and the path accuracy at checkpoints were compared between these two modes. The learning rate with the kinetic control method was found to be better than by normal control. After five attempts, an overall flying speed and path accuracy were still weaker by kinetic control method than by conventional hands-on method. The realisation itself has already been described in a previous paper [1]. Due to the modular structure of the design, different types of measurements ate possible, like in a real house for education purposes. In this paper, a study of thermal behaviour of the small scale house is presented. Steady state and transient behaviours with different double wall insulation are compared using temperature sensors and infrared thermal imaging. Results are discussed.
