The software complexities and length of the program exceedingly affects many design level quality attributes, specifically Simplicity, Testability and software Maintainability. Incomplete design of any software generally leads to misunderstanding and ambiguities and therefore to gives faulty design and development results. This is mainly seeming and appears owing to the absence of it’s an appropriate observation, design and development control. However, high level design and program simplicity are very necessary and one of the vital attributes of the system development cycle. This research paper highlights the impact and significance of design level software simplicity in common and as a one of the most useful key factor or index of software quality assurance and testing. In this research work principally there are three major efforts are made. As a first contribution, a valuable relationship between software design quality factor simplicity and related object oriented design properties, this has been set up. In the second contribution, using design level corresponding metrics a simplicity evaluation model for object oriented software is developed. Subsequently, the developed simplicity model has been rationally authenticated by means of experimental data try-out.","PeriodicalId":443021,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Educator: Courses","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133157469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Here, we aim to establish a theoretical framework to determine the DT by combining the Frenkel and E-S models with an Arrhenius equation. To accomplish this goal, via gas atomization and 30 h ball-milling of elemental powders, Ti40.6Zr9.4Cu37.5Ni9.4Sn3.1 metallic glass powders were both used to validate the framework during spark plasma sintering (SPS). The quantitative results reveal that the densification rate increases as the pressure increases due to the enhanced diffusion flux DT.","PeriodicalId":443021,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Educator: Courses","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124144589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Gaussian quadrature, for a given measure, finds optimal values of a function's argument (nodes) and the corresponding weights. In contrast, the Lebesgue quadrature developed in this paper, finds optimal values of function (value-nodes) and the corresponding weights. The Gaussian quadrature groups sums by function argument; it can be viewed as a $n$-point discrete measure, producing the Riemann integral. The Lebesgue quadrature groups sums by function value; it can be viewed as a $n$-point discrete distribution, producing the Lebesgue integral. Mathematically, the problem is reduced to a generalized eigenvalue problem: Lebesgue quadrature value-nodes are the eigenvalues and the corresponding weights are the square of the averaged eigenvectors. A numerical estimation of an integral as the Lebesgue integral is especially advantageous when analyzing irregular and stochastic processes. The approach separates the outcome (value-nodes) and the probability of the outcome (weight). For this reason, it is especially well-suited for the study of non-Gaussian processes. The software implementing the theory is available from the authors.","PeriodicalId":443021,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Educator: Courses","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127694268","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Given the volatile and uncertain nature of technology ventures, the ability to adapt and respond quickly is essential to increase the probability for survival in a highly competitive space. Further, we explore the potential impact of optionality and positive asymmetry into the design of the venture from the company and investor sides in the quest for antifragility.","PeriodicalId":443021,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Educator: Courses","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115055990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The reduced-scale centrifuge models were built and the clay barrier was prepared using kaoline amended silty soil. The unreinforced soil barrier was found to lose their water-tightness and integrity at lower distortion levels compared to fiber reinforced soil barriers. The silty soil used in the centrifuge models, frequently considered as having negligible creep, was ultimately found not to prevent the development of time-dependent deformations. The obtained results revealed the significant time-dependent deformations could be occurred in geotechnical structure of fiber reinforced soil walls wall systems.","PeriodicalId":443021,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Educator: Courses","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130613918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, the composites were prepared from unsaturated polyester with excess of ethylene glycol UPER loaded with various contents of multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) and carbon black nanoparticles (CNP) at different wt %. Transmission electron microscope TEM of MWCNT and CNP indicated the dimension of the nano filler. The samples have been examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, mechanical test, electrical test, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). FTIR spectra confirmed the physical and chemical bond formations between nanofiller and matrix. The mechanical properties such as tensile strength, elongation at break, and hardness for MWCNT and CNP nanocomposites were investigated at room temperature. The results showed that tensile strength and hardness shore D were improved with MWCNT than CNP filler and reached their optimum values when loaded with concentration 0.04% for both MWCNT and CNP. Electrical conductivity of nanocomposites with MWCNT was obtained to be higher than those with CNP at the same filler content due to the ability of MWCNT to forms a three-dimensional conductive network within the matrix, hence electron can tunnel from one filler to another and in doing so, it overcomes the high resistance offered by insulating polymer matrix. The thermal stability of UPER/MWCNT and CNP was enhanced compared to that of unfilled UPER.","PeriodicalId":443021,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Educator: Courses","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-01-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115016846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
