It can analyze driving conditions to remind the drivers with related warning notices. The computing overhead of the system is large because the captured frames have to be processed to recognize interested objects and to track them for analysis of the driving status. In order to enhance the performance of the TSG, we skip some tasks to reduce the computing overhead as well as keep the tracking results correct. We first estimate the depth map through occlusion reasoning. We then apply different defocus blur to the input sharp image based on the estimated depth map. In addition to color image, depth map is also included to be compressed because of adopting DIBR to generate virtual views. However, the computation complexity of encoder much increases due to additional depth map. This paper presents a new fast intra mode decision algorithm for depth map coding compatible with MVC+D and 3D-AVC. Kuo","doi":"10.1109/ISCE.2013.6570168","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ISCE.2013.6570168","url":null,"abstract":"This study proposes an efficient back mapping model that uses a lightweight neural network and virtual calibration plate to accurately correct the distortion of low quality wide angle camera. Unlike the radial model, the neural-based method uses non-linear functional mapping to model surface distortion, which consists of wide-angle distortion and various manufacturing errors in low-cost cameras. The proposed approach uses a lightweight multilayer feed-forward neural network (MFFNN) with error back-propagation training algorithm to map the complex distortion surface. The optimal number of neurons of hidden layer was assigned as 4 for associating the mapping model between the distortion image space (DIS) with the correction image space (CIS). This study uses a 105 degree wide-angle low-cost camera to test the proposed method. The biggest difference among a optical mouse, a touch pad, and a Wii remote controller is that a Wii remote controller is not limited by desks or notebooks. It is the biggest improvement for man-machine interactive interface.
