Studies on the decision-making for public transportation have been published. Comprehensive and quantitative investigations are lacking, nevertheless. Additionally, the Scopus database contains very few assessments of public transport integration. The current evaluation was carried out to provide scholars and practitioners with the most recent updates of papers on public transport and decision-making over the last 18 years (between 2005 and 2023), to allay their worries and address their inquiries about better public transport systems. The purpose of this bibliometric analysis and the overview is to encourage future research and collaboration by illuminating the idea of transport decision making studies, highlighting the paucity of relevant works, and providing a summary of the most productive nations, journals, and institutions in the field. A bibliometric analysis of the publications on public transportation and decision-making obtained from the Scopus database was carried out using the VOSviewer software. This allowed researchers to trace the historical and annual records of publications related to decision making covering the top countries, institutions, journals, most frequently used keywords, authors, citation network analysis, and most cited publications. The analysis’s findings identify the indications and interesting issues spots as well as the publications’ remarkable annual rise in decision-making on public transportation systems.","PeriodicalId":44110,"journal":{"name":"Transport and Telecommunication Journal","volume":"291 3 1","pages":"459 - 470"},"PeriodicalIF":1.4,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139303334","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The reason behind this gap is closely linked to the involvement of a large number of participants with conflicting interests in the process. This complexity explains why modelling an optimization tool for maritime logistics services appears challenging. Although new technologies such as blockchains and smart contracts have helped reduce the number of participants and address some complexities, they cannot fully resolve the fragmentation observed in maritime transport. To address the need for optimized voyage management for vessels, this study takes a holistic approach to voyage costs within the maritime supply chain, similar to how a single company would approach it. The study combines a case study from the container shipping industry, expert interviews, project results, and secondary empirical data research to develop a financial model for optimizing voyage costs. The research opens up opportunities for improving logistics services and developing new business models in the field of supply chain finance.","PeriodicalId":44110,"journal":{"name":"Transport and Telecommunication Journal","volume":"27 1","pages":"361 - 374"},"PeriodicalIF":1.4,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139297043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this article, we have proposed two modified versions of intelligent water drops (IWD) algorithm. The first one is the enhanced IWD (e-IWD) algorithm to solve single objective TSP. In the second modification, e-IWD algorithm has been extended to enhanced multi-objective IWD(e-MIWD) algorithm for solving multi-objective TSP. In order to achieve a better exploration capability in both of the proposed algorithms, the soil and velocity parameters of a randomly selected water drop are updated after every iteration of the algorithm when it traverses all the intermediate vertices for a tour. The proposed algorithms have been compared with some other existing similar algorithms on different benchmark instances of TSPs. Furthermore, we have addressed the TSP for both single and multiple objectives under uncertain environment.","PeriodicalId":44110,"journal":{"name":"Transport and Telecommunication Journal","volume":"23 1","pages":"228 - 255"},"PeriodicalIF":1.4,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75331729","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, the ineffective use of bandwidth is a key dilemma that restricts the fast-rising use of VoIP innovation. The main factor behind this ineffective use of the bandwidth is the sizable VoIP packet preamble. This research creates a technique to address this dilemma of packet preamble. The created technique is known as payload elimination (PldE). The fundamental concept of the PldE technique is to exploit the information (elements) of the VoIP packet preamble that is superfluous for point-to-point calls. In general, these elements are utilized to transport the payload of VoIP packets. Consequently, the payload size of VoIP packet will be lowered or removed, preserving the available bandwidth. The performance test of the PldE technique indicated an improvement of up to 41.6% in the exploitation of IP network bandwidth. So, the PldE technique is showing signs that it could help solve the problem of the IP network's inefficient use of bandwidth.","PeriodicalId":44110,"journal":{"name":"Transport and Telecommunication Journal","volume":"23 1","pages":"288 - 296"},"PeriodicalIF":1.4,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73801423","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To mitigate these issues, we present a flight path generation system that distributes the aeroplanes across the airspace and imparts minimal delays to the flight if required, thus ensuring that the aircraft follows the shortest route wherein it encounters the least amount of traffic. We develop a parallel genetic algorithm in CUDA-C with a novel fitness function allowing the system to reach an optimal solution where the air traffic density is minimised. The proposed algorithm was tested on one day's domestic flight schedule and achieved an 18% reduction in traffic density, with the flight times and delays remaining proportional to the data observed in the existing air traffic management system.","PeriodicalId":44110,"journal":{"name":"Transport and Telecommunication Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":"266 - 277"},"PeriodicalIF":1.4,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74976251","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents the results of a study on the determination of the occupancy distribution and the loss probability for particular traffic flows offered in EONs supporting IoT systems. The purpose of the research was to determine the impact of: the number of links making up a group, the numbers of frequency slot units (FSUs) in individual EON link, the traffic intensity of individual traffic flows, the capacity of the EON link (number of FSUs) and the number of FSUs requested by different traffic streams. The developed simulation program of link group of EON allows the calculation of the values of the occupancy distribution and loss probability. The results obtained from the simulation are presented on the graphs in the form of points with confidence intervals.","PeriodicalId":44110,"journal":{"name":"Transport and Telecommunication Journal","volume":"39 1","pages":"278 - 287"},"PeriodicalIF":1.4,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87093187","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our system is composed of two main processes, day time and night time processes. In the night time, the vehicles are detected based on their taillights and headlights. First of all, the 2D-DWT (Two Dimensional Discrete Wavelet Transform) and the background subtraction are applied to the input image. Then, the connected component technique is used to extract the region of interest. If it is the daytime, the connected component candidates are taken as potential vehicles after applying a pre-processing algorithm to improve the result. If it is the night-time, a filtering operation is used to keep only the bright white and red connected component candidates (which represent potential headlights and taillights, respectively). Finally, potential lamp sets are formed by grouping the extracted components on the basis of their positions, sizes, and colours. The potential extracted vehicles are classified as a vehicle or non-vehicle by using a pre-trained CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) classifier. The proposed system was tested and evaluated using different works from the literature. The experiments show that our proposed system has reached a high accuracy in terms of vehicle detection process whether in day or night time. The experiments were performed using four different videos and were implemented using the C++ language, which facilitates mathematical computation, and its OpenCV library, which is used to run the image processing algorithms used, as well as the TensorFlow library, which facilitates transfer learning of pre-trained CNN models.","PeriodicalId":44110,"journal":{"name":"Transport and Telecommunication Journal","volume":"9 1","pages":"256 - 265"},"PeriodicalIF":1.4,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85246206","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dashdamirov","doi":"10.2478/ttj-2023-0025","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2478/ttj-2023-0025","url":null,"abstract":"Abstract A significant part of the movement of the population in large cities is carried out by bus transport. Higher accessibility and connection to the network of other types of public transport are the main features of bus transport. The need for mass passenger transportation in Baku mainly is met by the metro and bus transport. A small number of metro stations and insufficient coverage of the city territory by metro network have significantly increased the load on the bus service. With the increase in passenger traffic, the frequency of bus routes has increased, and the intervals have decreased. As a result, bus traffic on some streets has become more intense. This led to an increase in the number of buses arriving at the stops at the same time and the formation of queues in front of the stops. To solve the problem, the article proposes a method for coordinating bus schedules of different routes and adjusting the time of arrival at a stop without changing the intervals. As a result of applying the proposed methodology, by modelling the sequence of bus arrivals in the Anylogic program, a reduction in queues and loss of time in front of the bus stop is justified. Simulation testing was carried out for the scenario of bus movement both in the general flow and along the bus lane.","PeriodicalId":44110,"journal":{"name":"Transport and Telecommunication Journal","volume":"40 1","pages":"309 - 319"},"PeriodicalIF":1.4,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85617254","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
