By identifying the opinion leaders, companies or governments can manipulate the selling or guiding public opinion, respectively. However, in real-life applications, social network are usually evolved with time; few prior research efforts have been elaborated on finding opinion leaders with dynamic concept. In this study, a novel algorithm, D_OLMiner, is proposed to efficiently find the opinion leaders from a dynamic social network. We utilize a network emerging method to construct a dynamic social network, and then detect the community structure to solve the influence overlapping issue and reduce the computation time. The experimental results show that the proposed D_OLMiner can effectively discover the influential opinion leaders in real dynamic social networks with efficiency.","PeriodicalId":440018,"journal":{"name":"2017 10th International Conference on Ubi-media Computing and Workshops (Ubi-Media)","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132628041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we investigate the experiences of integrating digital media (combination of text, image, audio and video) into the school curricula in Ethiopia. We surveyed the accessibility of multimedia-rich digital learning resources; the experiences of students and teachers on using multimedia technologies; and their experiences on integrating multimedia in their learning process. Our finding indicated that the experiences of teachers and students on using digital technologies is fair. However, there is only limited access to multimedia rich digital learning resources, and premature practice of integrating them into the curriculum. The mapping of these results to the models of integrating digital learning into the curricula showed that the schools' status correspond to the initial phase and further recommendations on successful digital learning integration is provided. In addition, we proposed an agile and continuous model to continuously catch the evolving technological innovation and for large scale digital learning integration into a curricula.","PeriodicalId":440018,"journal":{"name":"2017 10th International Conference on Ubi-media Computing and Workshops (Ubi-Media)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131657808","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To solve this problem, color blind image correction is applied to an image to adjust its color shades for visual improvement purpose. In image watermarking applications, a watermark embedded within such image can be partially or fully damaged. In this paper, we thus propose a color image watermarking robust against a color blind image correction. In the watermark embedding process, a watermark is embedded into the medium color component in the Long, Medium and Short wavelengths (LMS) color space of a host image. The strength of watermark is adjusted in accordance with the luminance component from the same color space. In the watermark extraction process, the original M color component is estimated by exploiting relationship of the watermarked components within a local area around the embedded bit's position. The quality of watermarked image and the accuracy of extracted watermark are assessed in terms of weighted peak signal-to-noise ratio and normal correlation, respectively. The experimental results demonstrate the robustness of the proposed watermarking method against the most common color blind image correction technique called image recoloring.","PeriodicalId":440018,"journal":{"name":"2017 10th International Conference on Ubi-media Computing and Workshops (Ubi-Media)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125241608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed OGD analytics system is part of an ongoing project to pioneer possible use cases of OGD in Thailand. Experiments are conducted with budget and procurement data of government agencies for the fiscal years of 2013–2017. Part of our results have already been publicized on the website of Thailand's Bureau of the Budget. Furthermore, four interesting patterns of government spending are found in the data and their possible implications are discussed. We anticipate that this paper will serve as an example on how government data in Thailand can be used to support e-government strategies to further deliver information to citizens.","PeriodicalId":440018,"journal":{"name":"2017 10th International Conference on Ubi-media Computing and Workshops (Ubi-Media)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114097394","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although scanning technique had become much advanced then earliest, users may still obtain damaged model due to unfamiliar with scanning technique, then we need to repair the model by doing hole-filling and surface reconstruction. In this paper we introduce an approach to fill holes in 3D mesh by using 2D Image Inpainting technique. We create image of depth value to represent depth information and image of color to represent color of surfaces, then inpaint those images and use result images to reconstruct holes of model. The advantage of using Image Inpainting is the flexibility of using image inpainting method, we can use different inpainting method for different purpose. We obtain color and depth image by doing 3D projection and find holes in model by doing hole detection, then we inpaint these images and do 2D to 3D transformation of new added pixels back to 3D space. This work can use any inpaint algorithm without modification. In this paper we use both structural inpainting and textural inpainting, structural inpainting is used for reconstructing depth values and textural inpainting is used for reconstructing texture of surface. The results of our experiment proves that our approach is suitable for model that has uncomplicated structure and texture on the surface.","PeriodicalId":440018,"journal":{"name":"2017 10th International Conference on Ubi-media Computing and Workshops (Ubi-Media)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125912759","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the proposed scheme, the trusted authorizer (TA), holding two common secrets, will issue an identity to every entity that may be road side unit (RSU) or vehicle. An identity contains a public ID and a private key. The public ID is used to present an entity, and the private key is used to make mutual trust keys with other entity's public ID. A public ID can be verified to be a legal one, and the mutual trust key will be the evidence that a node owns the related public ID. At the starting time of a time slot or after finding malicious entities, TA will broadcast a new group key to all valid RSUs that will response the group key request from vehicles. Using the new group key, vehicles can change new parameters, public ID and private key to do mutual trust with other vehicles. The security analysis shows that the proposed scheme can revoke the right of malicious RSUs or vehicles, work well under malicious attacking and satisfy the requirement of a secure VANETs. As the result of functionality and performance comparison, the proposed mutual trust scheme is superior to the related works.","PeriodicalId":440018,"journal":{"name":"2017 10th International Conference on Ubi-media Computing and Workshops (Ubi-Media)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132444629","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
