This is a planning for the appropriate identified services to create business agility and maximize reuse. Not all services in the service model can be realized in the form of IT solutions, so if our intended use of the service portfolio is to drive IT development planning, we must first decide which services are potentially realizable and which services are not. In this paper, we present a decision model to evaluate the services based on the proposed metrics. Comparing the relative value of each service with its development or maintenance cost should make the prioritization. The decision model is useful to support an approach to identifying the optimum portfolio of services based on the prioritization of business needs, followed by an estimation of the technical feasibility for each candidate service.","PeriodicalId":439852,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th World Congress on Information and Communication Technologies (WICT 2014)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132522205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Virtualization Technology plays an important role in the success of cloud computing as it optimizes hardware and software resources which in turn enables cloud model to deliver the services in a scalable manner. Hypervisor as a virtualization layer provides an infrastructural support to multiple virtual machines above it by virtualizing hardware resources such as CPU, Memory, Disk and NIC. Cloud computing model and virtualization technology both increases the scalability of IT infrastructure but with an overhead of the performance as Hypervisors may not give near native performance. It is encouraging to study how different Hypervisors perform in the Private Cloud as compared to the native system. Hypervisors do come in Para-virtualized [XenServer], Full Virtualized [ESXi] and Hybrid [KVM] flavors. Hyper-V uses microkernelized design. It is novel idea to compare them in the Private Cloud environment. In the experiment, we have created our private cloud using CloudStack. This paper uses SIGAR (System Information Gatherer and Reporter) framework to compare four hypervisors namely XenServer, ESXi, Hyper-V and KVM.","PeriodicalId":439852,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th World Congress on Information and Communication Technologies (WICT 2014)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122045784","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The test suite size tends to increase by including new test cases due to software evolution. Consequently, the entire test suite cannot be executed considering budget and time limitations. Researchers have examined test suite reduction and prioritization techniques to address the test suite size problem. However, combination of these techniques can be useful for various regression testing situations. In this paper, we present a new code coverage-based test suite reduction and prioritization framework called TestOptimizer. The framework performs a suitable combination of TestFilter and St-Total techniques to determine optimal test cases, keeping in view of time restrictions. The performance of the proposed framework has been assessed using a case study. Results show that TestOptimizer can be beneficial to solve the test suite size problem within time constraints and has a profound impact on the required cost and effort of regression testing.","PeriodicalId":439852,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th World Congress on Information and Communication Technologies (WICT 2014)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123597274","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It offers an opportunity for children to learn more effectively in a fun and enjoyable environment which improve their thinking, memorization and social skills. The objective of this paper is to provide an evaluation of children learning experience of multitouch flash memory game. An active learning experience offered by this game may contribute to the right brain functions development, thus unlocked children's innate intelligence. This preliminary study was conducted with four preschool children. Our results shown that the children had an average learning experience with the game. They had exhibited strong interest at playing the game but the excitement wore off gradually over time. This study had shown that the children exposure to such game in their education setting remains a challenge today.","PeriodicalId":439852,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th World Congress on Information and Communication Technologies (WICT 2014)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128797497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to investment theories, investors' behaviors will influence the stock market, and the way people invest their money is based on the history trend and information they hold. On account of this indirectly influential relationship between information of stock and stock trend, stock trend prediction based on text has been done by many researchers. However, due to the serious feature sparse problem in tweets and unreliability of using average sentiment score to indicate one day's sentiment, this work proposed a text-sentiment based stock trend prediction model with a hybrid feature selection method. Instead of applying sentiment analysis to add sentiment related features, this paper uses SentiWordNet to give an additional weight to the selected features. Besides, this work also compares the results with those of other learning algorithms. SVM linear algorithm based on leave-one-out cross validation yields the best performance of 90.34%.","PeriodicalId":439852,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th World Congress on Information and Communication Technologies (WICT 2014)","volume":"132 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130860901","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since motor co-ordination is impaired under intoxication, it affects an individual's speech production. One of the common questions which arise is; whether is it possible to detect whether a person is intoxicated by observing their speech patterns and if so can it be used to determine the degree of intoxication? To test this hypothesis, healthy male native Sinhala speakers were carefully sorted out. Speech recordings and associated Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC) levels were taken under sober and intoxicated condition. The suprasegmental features of the audio recordings such as Fundamental frequency (F0), duration, jitter, shimmer, etc. were analysed. The collected samples were categorized into five evenly distributed ranges according to their BrAC level in order to identify behaviour of suprasegmental features at different BrAC ranges. The extracted features were statistically analysed by calculating the median and quarter-quintile distance for each speaker. Several statistically significant changes were found for increasing intoxication; primary results include increased F0, decreased intensity, and increased voiced to unvoiced ratio, etc. Finally, although it may be concluded that certain changes in speech suprasegmentals will occur as a function of increasing intoxication, these patterns cannot be viewed as universal since a few subjects exhibited no or negative changes.","PeriodicalId":439852,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th World Congress on Information and Communication Technologies (WICT 2014)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131667988","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
