The need for text translation to happen in real time has been on the rise due to the idea of globalization in the past decades. However, there are very few well-developed applications on the market right now to serve the purpose of real-time text translation. This paper presents a Unity-based application that seamlessly translates text in real time in an augmented reality environment. It successfully combined Unity engine and C# scripts with services such as Google Cloud Vision and Google Translate to address the problem of cross-lingual understanding. The application utilizes a pre-trained machine learning model from Google Cloud Vision to recognize and translate texts and pins the translated text in relative positions on the camera as objects. The overall outcome of the application demonstrated the possibility of breaking down text language barriers. It also proved the potential usage of such technology in daily life. Users were able to view translated text objects through the perspective of augmented reality thus enabling a seamless translation experience in various environments.","PeriodicalId":438278,"journal":{"name":"Science and Technology of Engineering, Chemistry and Environmental Protection","volume":"114 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141376410","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"Research on the Influencing Factors of Home Loan Approvals","authors":"Chen Chen","doi":"10.61173/r3h7ke46","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.61173/r3h7ke46","url":null,"abstract":". The purpose of this paper is to comprehensively discuss the factors that may impact the approval of housing loans using Binary Logit Regression and Random Forest. As housing loans have become more common, the increase in non-performing rates of housing loans in the last two years has led to stricter loan approvals and greater uncertainty for loan applicants. This study examines data from home loan lenders to create a model for predicting an applicant’s ability to obtain a home loan and to assist applicants in planning for the future. The dataset comprises 480 loan records and 12 variables. The model based on Binary Logit Regression passes the Likelihood Ratio Test with a final prediction accuracy of 81.64%, which is considered acceptable. The results indicate that the applicant’s region and credit status significantly affect loan approval. Through the Random Forest, it is found that in addition to credit history, the weights for monthly applicant income and loan term are also high. Overall, applicants can predict loan approval based on the degree of influence of these factors.","PeriodicalId":438278,"journal":{"name":"Science and Technology of Engineering, Chemistry and Environmental Protection","volume":"56 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141376741","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) began to spread globally, the pneumonia it causes has led to millions of deaths worldwide. Early diagnosis of pneumonia is a critical step in its treatment, and pulmonary imaging examinations are the most essential tools for diagnosing the condition. While previous papers have summarized the utilization of deep learning in pneumonia image diagnosis, the rapid evolution of deep learning models and algorithms needs a more systematic review of both classical and contemporary models. In this paper, the author employs a systematic review to provide a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of deep learning models for pneumonia imagery, as well as a comparison of these models. It introduces classic models used for processing pneumonia images and also presents the latest research methods. A systematic summary of these deep learning models can help people better understand and learn about deep learning models related to pneumonia imagery, learn from past mistakes, and thereby enhance the precision of deep learning models for pneumonia diagnosis.","PeriodicalId":438278,"journal":{"name":"Science and Technology of Engineering, Chemistry and Environmental Protection","volume":"114 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141376797","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this review, how both circadian and non-circadian genes within these organs and tissues can mutually influence circadian rhythms, potentially inducing or exacerbating insulin resistance at the cellular level is outlined. Furthermore, to delves into the impact of environmental factors beyond atypical light exposure and jet lag on the expression of genes related to peripheral clocks, emphasizing the demand for precise control experiments and the application of sophisticated statistical models for analyzing results. The expression anomalies of circadian-related genes across diverse organs may instigate varying degrees of metabolic disturbances, culminating in diverse intensities of insulin resistance. Besides, this review critically examines the effects of circadian rhythm disruptions on insulin resistance, incorporating both existing and potential pharmacological interventions that address these metabolic dysfunctions through multiple pathways. It proposes innovative experimental approaches and hypotheses aimed at enhancing our understanding of circadian influences on metabolic health.","PeriodicalId":438278,"journal":{"name":"Science and Technology of Engineering, Chemistry and Environmental Protection","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141381647","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
