Its major font ofproduction is on the burning or pyrolysis of fuels and during asphalt applications. Adsorption process has been used on-air samplers and polluted media remediation and to a better result kinetics information of the process is necessary. A system tomonitor the gas solid mass transfer was developed to represent the presence of PAH on the air. Adsorption of naphthalene in XAD-2 and silica, as separated adsorbents and as mixtures, were studied and a mixture of them in a proportion of 2:1 XAD-2/silicagave the best results in terms of the mass of PAH adsorbed and process kinetics. Improvements on the system developed have to be made for future experiments with PAH with a higher molecular weight.","PeriodicalId":438033,"journal":{"name":"Brazilian Journal of Experimental Design, Data Analysis and Inferential Statistics","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129369115","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chitosan-based films increase the rate of re-epithelialization and wound closure rate which, due to their antimicrobial properties, should contribute to wound closure. With the constant raise of scientific publications regarding this subject, we aimed to establish a direct relation of chitosan films on wound closure rate based on recent data. The available literature was gathered from Scopus database, followed by a bibliometric analysis. Results were sorted based on wound closure metrics and statistical information. The data extracted from the selected articles were analyzed and compared regarding the wound closure rate measured in animal models. The results showed good homogeneity of positive results among the studies selected. On the other hand, due to unstandardized parameters in chitosan films formulations among the articles studied here, no correlation with chitosan concentration in wound dressing films with the woundclosure effect could be observed. However, further investigations of such correlation with clinical tests are still needed. In this context, this work demonstrated consistency in the positive impact of chitosan films on wound healing, demonstrating thatchitosan films have the potential for biomedical use and their research is justified. The results of this work might help to understand the relationship between the actual contribution of chitosan and in vivo wound healing evaluation, and provide areference to new approaches for the treatment chronic wounds.","PeriodicalId":438033,"journal":{"name":"Brazilian Journal of Experimental Design, Data Analysis and Inferential Statistics","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116036398","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The membrane must then be designed to allow high gas flow, high selectivity and chemical and mechanical stability under operating conditions of feed composition, pressure and temperature. Hybrid materials based on carbon materials - carbon nanotubes and graphene oxide - and polymers - cellulose acetate, polyamide, polyimide and polyether block amide - are presented as new types of studied membranes that present promising results in gas separation. An attempt to study a systematic analysis was carried out and despite not achieving adequate results in the literature, it is possible to infer a potential application of carbon nanotubes and graphene oxide in polymeric matrix as nanofillers that improve CO 2 removal.","PeriodicalId":438033,"journal":{"name":"Brazilian Journal of Experimental Design, Data Analysis and Inferential Statistics","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134130734","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These types of polymers have highly desirable properties, combining malleability, recyclability, cure, and repair at hightemperatures with insolubility and low shape changes, which implies that vitrimers can be designed to obtain re-processable materials that can replace traditional thermosets, which is a crucial step to face the problem of the disposal of plastic materialsafter use. Thanks to these advantages, and intending to make sustainable the production of this kind of materials, various authors have explored the use of raw materials from renewable resources for partial or total replacement of synthetic vitrimerscomponents, thus increasing the environmentally friendly profile of the vitrimers, thanks to the reduction in both, the oil consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. To analyze the possibilities in this field, in this work, we perform a systematic collection of data present in the literature and investigate interactions between reprocessability, the stability of the mechanical properties, and the use of materials of biological origin for the synthesis of vitrimeric polymers. The results obtained show that some of the biomaterials that have been studied to date can improve the reprocessability properties of vitrimers, which indicates that the bio-based vitrimeric polymers can become an attractive option for the development of environmentally friendly materials with good mechanical and reprocessability properties.","PeriodicalId":438033,"journal":{"name":"Brazilian Journal of Experimental Design, Data Analysis and Inferential Statistics","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114538893","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

El ruido produce una degradación en la calidad de las imágenes, lo cual puedeafectar la precisión de los diagnósticos médicos. En esta investigación se comparan 11 métodos modernos basados en variación total, para la reducción del ruido en imágenes de SPECT. Se utilizan un corte tomográfico del maniquí de Jaszczak, el cual es procesado por todos los métodos. Para evaluar la calidad de las imágenes procesadas, se emplearon métricas objetivas de calidad de imagen. Se realiza un análisis estadístico no paramétrico de los resultados, y se obtuvo que, si se requiere mantener un alto contraste imagen, se sugiere emplear los métodos FISTA o DCRG-PPXA; en cambio, para mantener la mejor resolución espacial posible, se debe elegir a TVNLR o RTV. Por su parte, los métodos PDHG y GPCL, remueven una alta cantidad de ruido, aportando excelentes valores tanto de relación señal a ruido como de relación contraste a ruido.","PeriodicalId":438033,"journal":{"name":"Brazilian Journal of Experimental Design, Data Analysis and Inferential Statistics","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125971981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The history of this polymer begins in 1862 when Letheby first reported this material. Since then, a myriad of studies has been conducted onthis material, and new works continue to investigate the potential of this material. Polyaniline has been improved with the help of Nanotechnology. The use of nanofillers has been seen as a quick and economical way to modify materials, drivinginnovations based on new physical and chemical properties from the conductive polymer materials and nanoparticles joining. Several works address the use of different nanoparticles, which leads to the practical impossibility of sifting through all this information. Thus, this work proposes to systematically collect data in the literature and investigate which nanoparticles can increase the electrical conductivity of Polyaniline (PAni). The results obtained demonstrate that among the possiblenanofillers, graphene and carbon nanotubes have great prominence. Furthermore, the results of the meta-analysis prove that PAni's conductivity increases when this polymer is modified with the aforementioned nanofillers.","PeriodicalId":438033,"journal":{"name":"Brazilian Journal of Experimental Design, Data Analysis and Inferential Statistics","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114186629","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
