Nowadays, with population growth, these chemistry products are more explored and improved to improve food production and keep people alive. However, the excessive use of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides can degrade the environment and cause health issues. For this reason, researchers look for ways to detect and remove pesticide residues from the environment. Moreover, they provide limits on the use of agrochemical products. Modern searches about polymers and their use in science show that they can be used for pesticide detection or remotion, which is more efficient than the latest. This paper shows the main issues covered in the articles on using polymers to detect agrochemical products from the environment. These analyses were made on the platforms Scopus and Web of Science. The results concluded that the principal search focus was on detecting high-hazard pesticides using polymers.","PeriodicalId":438033,"journal":{"name":"Brazilian Journal of Experimental Design, Data Analysis and Inferential Statistics","volume":"11 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139532388","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Albeit its potential, LIBS analysis still presents many limitations in terms of sensitivity and reproducibility, especially when analyzing complex matrices such as of sediments and soil samples. In order to reduce these matrix related effects, it is highly recommended that the system temporal parameters, which are responsible for controlling plasma evolution and signal collection, are optimized beforehand. In this work, we proposed the design of experiments (DOE) tool – specifically, the response surface methodology (RSM) – as an approach to optimize LIBS’s most important parameters (delay-time, interpulse delay, gate width and accumulated pulse). Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the emission lines for Zn, Cd, Mg, Al, Ni, Cu, Ca, Cr, Sr, Fe were the response variable assessed during the procedure. The results showed that the RSM was an effective optimization tool for LIBS parameters and the final condition improved SNR ratios by up to a 48 ratio, when comparing to the not-optimal conditions.","PeriodicalId":438033,"journal":{"name":"Brazilian Journal of Experimental Design, Data Analysis and Inferential Statistics","volume":" 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139624526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A complexidade da gestão da cadeia de abastecimento de sangue vai desde a captação de dadores de sangue até à distribuição de bolsas de sangue para transfusão. Compreender os processos da cadeia e manter a segurança dos dados pessoais e sensíveis dos doadores torna-se uma das premissas das organizações de saúde pública. A pesquisa visa criar e aplicar uma estrutura conceitual que utilize abordagens e conceitos de Business Process Management (BPM) para apoiar o gerenciamento e a segurança dos dados pessoais dos doadores. O método adotado foi a revisão de literatura baseada em artigos científicos e a utilização do BPM na construção do referencial conceitual e aplicação em um Serviço de Hemoterapia (HS) de um Hospital Público Federal (HFP) no Brasil. Ao mapear o processo de doação de sangue e utilizar o arcabouço conceitual, foram destacadas possíveis falhas que poderiam expor os dados pessoais e sensíveis dos candidatos à doação de sangue que violariam a Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD). Utilizar o framework conceitual com BPM para modelar um processo organizacional facilita a identificação das vulnerabilidades dos dados pessoais e sensíveis do cidadão que circulam neste processo e discordam das normas da Lei. foram destacadas possíveis falhas que poderiam expor dados pessoais e sensíveis de candidatos à doação de sangue que violariam a Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD). This research is a pioneering exploration in response to pressing protein shortages, food waste, and food security challenges. The study employs an entirely randomized experimental design, comprising five treatment groups and one control group; each replicated thrice. Notably, the study amalgamates cutting-edge data mining techniques through the Scopus database to elucidate the existing research landscape around Tenebrio molitor. This exploration underscores the insect's pivotal role as a prospective alternative protein source. The experimental findings, a core contribution, discern that T1, a blend of 5% coffee grounds and 95% substrate, yields the most significant mass gain in larvae over the initial 7-day phase, surpassing the control group. However, an intriguing revelation follows: specific treatments experience subsequent weight loss, emphasizing the significance of strategic larval harvesting and processing. These collective results underscore Tenebrio Molitor's potential as an innovative protein source while spotlighting coffee grounds as a valuable larval growth catalyst. This study forges a path towards sustainable protein solutions, elucidating the dynamic interplay between Tenebrio molitor, coffee grounds, and their promising role in addressing food security concerns, particularly in socioeconomically challenged regions.","PeriodicalId":438033,"journal":{"name":"Brazilian Journal of Experimental Design, Data Analysis and Inferential Statistics","volume":" 36","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139623998","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Objective: This study aims at the synthesis of chitosan/tripolyphosphate nanoparticles through an experimental design 32, to evaluate the ideal conditions for obtaining a reduced particle diameter with potential for encapsulation of biomolecules. Method: The nanoparticles were obtained by ionotropic gelation, in 11 experimental conditions. Statistical Analysis were carried out using the software Statistics 7, having as independent variable: the polymer/crosslinker mass ratio and the drip flow rate of the crosslinker. The hydrodynamic diameter of the nanoparticles was the response variable, which was characterized by dynamic light scattering. Results: For the optimized system the results show that the mass ratio between the reactants influences the particle size obtained, and the mass ratio of Chitosan/TPP between 2.25 - 2.50 is the most indicated for obtaining diameters between 20-50 nm. Conclusion: Considering the range of hydrodynamic diameters observed in this study, the nanoparticles are well-suited for utilization as active carriers, specifically targeting organs to enhance the effectiveness of therapies.","PeriodicalId":438033,"journal":{"name":"Brazilian Journal of Experimental Design, Data Analysis and Inferential Statistics","volume":"11 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140509529","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Risk analysis is also very significant to decrease possible hazards and to avoid possible damage in manpower & production systems. In this study, an approach based on Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) is proposed to analyse the ring spinning yarn production process in a textile industry. First, the possible hazards in the production line, yarn production system, in an integrated company operating in the textile sector are analysed by FTA method. Then, FMEA is applied to ring spinning yarn production process in a textile industry to rank all possible risks corresponding to hazards in descending order with respect to both occupational health and safety. It is very important to remove all possible hazards in textile industry to decrease the number of risks related to occupational health and safety. Therefore, in total of 57 hazard root causes are determined in the yarn production department. Subsequently, the faults related to the hazard root causes are examined by FTA and then risk corresponding to these hazards are prioritized by FMEA. The results obtained from the proposed FTA-FMEA approach show that decision makers and engineers can easily decrease the number of hazards and risks with respect to both occupational health and safety in practice","PeriodicalId":438033,"journal":{"name":"Brazilian Journal of Experimental Design, Data Analysis and Inferential Statistics","volume":" 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139624804","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
