In spite of immediate actions of public administration this disease covers now all 16 districts and new outbreaks of ASF among pigs and boars are still being found. Due to its character the virus means a serious threat to agriculture and pork production not just in Poland but in Europe as well. Unfortunately, as life shows, problematic aspects of the virus fighting are not only reducing boar population and new outbreaks. A characteristic feature of mechanical control of pine beauty was crafting mounds of soil (which varied in thickness) from material derived from the levels of organic and humus-mineral soils. The issue of the rational use of soil mounds with pine beauty in the period of contemporary forest clearing requires a deep analysis and taking an appropriate position. The forest districts from the Wrocław Regional Directorate of State Forests in 2008–2014 implemented lowland and mountain small retention programmes. The forest districts incurred costs of own contribution, covering 15% of investment costs as well as maintenance costs of small retention facilities for a period of 5 years after the completion of the investment. The paper presents the analysis of the costs incurred for the implementation of these programmes, with particular emphasis on the costs incurred for the maintenance of the realized small retention facilities. In the research on the phenomenon, there has been little concern regarding phytopathogenic bacteria, which have high reproduction energy and can penetrate the plant and cause a pathological process as vital obligates. One of the most common and harmful diseases of common ash in Ukraine is tuberculosis. The causative agent of the disease is the phytopathogenic bacterium Pseudomonas syringae subsp. savastanoi (ex Smith 1908) Janse 1982. This species affects both trunks, branches and shoots, and inflorescences of a common ash. The bacteria Pseudomonas sp., Pseudomonas fluorescens Mig., Pseudomonas syringae Van., Erwinia herbicola Eh., Xanthomonas sp. were isolated from tuberculous samples as a concomitant myco- and microbiota and micromycetes Cladosporium cladosporioides (Fresen.) G.A. de Vries., Alternaria botrytis (Preuss) Woudenb. & Crous, taxon Mycelia sterilia (dark) and Mycelia sterilia (orange), Fusarium heterosporum Lin., Fusarium sp., Cylindrocarpon didymum (Harting) Wollenw, etc. The mechanism of systemic relationships of the components of myco- and microbiota of tuberculous pathology of the common ash in the regulation (self-regulation) of pathogenicity and aggressiveness of vital obligates has been investigated. The study is focused on the prospects and expediency of using the antagonistic properties of myco- and microorganisms and biological products based on them for the prevention and protection of tree plantations from bacterial pathogens. It is shown that the pathology of the common ash is a multifaceted phenomenon with interrelated processes of an infectious and non-infectious nature. Plant diseases caused by pathogens have been increasing in number and severity over the last few decades in response to increases in human mobility, climate change, land-use intensification, urbanization and the creation of new habitat conditions (Anderson et al. 2004, Aukema et al. 2010, Meentemeyer et al. 2012). Grzywacz","doi":"10.5604/01.3001.0016.2217","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5604/01.3001.0016.2217","url":null,"abstract":"The article analyses cases of arson attacks on trees – natural monuments in Poland in terms of their social and natural losses over a period of almost 100 years (1925-2021), with the incidents recorded mainly in the second decade of the 21st century. The loss in the natural aspect is related to the species structure of the trees set on fire (only deciduous species), age (the reported minimum age was about 300 years), dimensions (the reported circumference range was from about 460 cm to about 1050 cm) and biocenotic value (hollows, decay, habitat for protected animal species). Some of the trees set on fire were exceptional in respect of nature terms on a national or even international scale (the Chrobry Oak, the Mieszko I Oak and the Napoleon Oak). The loss, in social aspect, results from the loss in the value of the monumental trees in terms of tourism and recreation, history, culture, emotions and education. However, the analysed websites lacked references to the undoubted value of these trees in the scientific aspect. An important tool in creating an image is the new media, which reduce the distance between the stakeholder and the association. Adequate reputation creation should therefore be in the interest, in particular, of organisations with a nationwide reach and dealing with the national good. The Polish Hunting Association, as an organisation covering the entire country with its jurisdiction, has been struggling with a negative image among the Polish society for many years. To a large extent, the association's reputation is shaped by the ubiquitous new media. Thanks to these, every organisation is able to skilfully manage its image, precisely by communicating effectively and responding correctly to the needs of the association's stakeholders. Also, with the help of the new media, reputations can quickly fall into disrepute.
