Abstract

There are various forms of timber sales in the State Forests: auctions, tenders, submission, commission, negotiation, retail, free−hand. The wood’s submission constitutes a form of sale which is becoming more popular among buyers. The raw material purchased on the submission is most often used in the furniture industry, for example, to produce exclusive furniture, veneers, and finishing elements for yachts and cars, in the alcohol industry for the production of high-quality barrels (mainly oak barrels) for wine and other alcohol products, in construction industry, and also in the music industry, e.g., for the manufacture of musical instruments.
