Consequently, they may face some difficulty in reporting the accident to the police and civil defense, or they may provide them with inaccurate information about the location of the accident. Moreover, even if they were able to provide the necessary information it may take them some time to deliver it to a human counterpart and hence it will take the police and civil defense more time to reach the accident location in the appropriate time to rescue people. This paper proposes the use of location based services to develop a system that can be used easily to report and locate an accident more quickly and precisely.","PeriodicalId":434315,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-01-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126192361","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This system consists of four subsystems which include data acquisition, website monitoring, email protocol and SMS system. The aim of the integrated system is to remotely monitor critical parameter in tissue culture growth room. Research has shown that factors such as temperature, humidity, liquid, phase and gas compositions are critical in producing quality clonal materials using tissue culture process. Consequently, sensors are required to monitor and record the data in growth room. All sensors will monitor critical parameters that will be linked to the database and analysis software for storing and analyzing the monitored data. For the purpose of remotely monitor critical parameter, website and SMS enquiry are developed. The system would monitor via telemetry system and provide automatically email or short message (SMS) notifications upon identification of a disturbance module.","PeriodicalId":434315,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"222 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-01-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122766769","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The solution offers a general tool to simulate and compare T[K] for different algorithms of HFJ systems. As an application, we use it to compare simulation results with our published theorems in [1]. By using a regular DELL Latitude E4300 laptop, the simulation for 2000 M/M/1 queues lasts only 28 minutes with 1G memory for 5 million warming-up jobs and 10 million analysis jobs. We also offer corresponding source codes and executable files for three different queuing systems on our website for others to use.","PeriodicalId":434315,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-01-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114568175","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, when it comes to places where bandwidth is low or limited, smooth streaming has become a serious challenge because after all bandwidth is a natural resource and is limited. This method has been tested with the aim of detection of environmental sounds and speech in a sound stream. The segmentation of an audio stream is needed for successful localization of speech or environmental sounds in a stream and their possible future classification or even separation. This method has been developed as a preliminary solution of the task of real-world audio signal segmentation by a set of co-operative unmanned flying robots. Application of the proposed method has been tested in simulating software NESCUAR 1.0. In its ideal form, software development based on MDA would follow a development process that begins by producing models of the problem domain at a high level of abstraction, and then proceeds by gradually and automatically transforming them into executable code with the help of tools. However, MDA-based development has encountered several setbacks, the mitigation of which requires detailed scrutiny and analysis. In this research, MDA-based development is analyzed through applying SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis in order to identify the problems afflicting MDA. The analysis also offers strategies for addressing these problems by utilizing MDA’s own strengths, and also by using the potential solutions offered by other approaches and technologies. This knowledge will allow developers and method engineers to address the shortcomings of MDA-based development tools and techniques.","PeriodicalId":434315,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"66 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-01-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127681120","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The studied power system contains 41 buses and 82 interconnecting lines. To ground the basis of comparison, both of the applications were run in the same simulation environment with identical input data. For this system, an average difference of 1.7525% between the bus voltage magnitudes calculated by the two software packages was found and PowerWorld was 6.4 times faster than PSAT to complete the simulation.","PeriodicalId":434315,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-01-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133887364","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The new era of internet enables major corporations to develop and establish stronger relations with customers and other businesses based on the quick movement of the information and the quick response to customers’ requirements. The business environment is changing continuously and the technology has become the mean for managing the challenges of the recent days with the most efficient and accurate way. The capabilities of the internet are numerous as via its well developed infrastructure the companies can link their internal and external data processing systems more efficiently and flexible by working closely with suppliers and partners, collaborating on sales promotions, doing joint research and better manage customers expectations. Going online, a company has to decide which of the E-Business models suits better to its goals. This paper will introduce the different E-Business models which exist according to the literature review and then it will identify which is the most preferable for fashion businesses. Then it will investigate customers’ preferences in buying clothing and fashion products online and also how familiar are with internet purchases. As the meaning of E-Business is broad and multi-functional this pilot study will be focused more on e-commerce and will examine a number of fashion retailers according to their Business to Customer (B2C) model and their communication and interaction with their customers. An assessment of how risky this model can be for both sides will give a clear idea of how safe e-purchases can be for customers and how the companies can gain competitive advantage in the market over their competitors.","PeriodicalId":434315,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-01-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130737539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SVDD is a popular kernel method which tries to fit a hypersphere around the target object and can obtain more flexible and more accurate data descriptions by using proper kernel functions. Nonetheless, the SVDD could sometimes generate such a loose decision boundary while some noisy samples (outliers) exist in the training set. In order to solve this problem we define fuzzy constraints and two new concepts for each learning sample. Duo to the usage of fuzzy constraints, we called this method Fuzzy Constraints SVDD (FCSVDD). The overall experiments show prominence of our proposed method in comparison with the standard SVDD.","PeriodicalId":434315,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modelling and Simulation","volume":"128 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-01-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115689981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
