Incident response and forensic investigations are complex activities. Due to the complexity of critical infrastructures, such as Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs), preparation is vital. Manual approaches still tend to be favored mainly because of (physical) safety assurances. The tasks and actions required and the outcomes to expect need to be documented. Application Security Controls (ASCs) are a good way to document forensic controls for which an extended model is proposed. However, ASCs must be tested further on forensic applicability and there are also considerable alternatives. In terms of possible additional security measures and to apply the gained insights, one exemplary operational Instrumentation & Control (I&C) server system is analyzed in order to derive recommendations.","PeriodicalId":434189,"journal":{"name":"GI-Jahrestagung","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115829309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sowohl in der Politik und im medialen Alltag, als auch in der Wissenschaft wird der „Strukturwandel des Privaten“ beobachtet, kommentiert, beschworen oder vor ihm gewarnt. Kein Zweifel jedenfalls, dass der „digitale Wandel“ umwälzend stattfindet, und dass die großen Chancen auf Lebensverbesserungen einhergehen mit dem Risiko einer Abhängigkeit von einer Informationstechnik, die wir nicht ausreichend beherrschen. Der Verlust der Privatheit durch zunehmende Beobachtung und Auswertung unserer elektronischen Spuren ist dabei ein Risiko besonderer Art. Nur Datenenthaltsamkeit zu predigen, ist keine Lösung, da zum modernen Leben eine fruchtbare und unbefangene Kommunikation gehört.","PeriodicalId":434189,"journal":{"name":"GI-Jahrestagung","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124506564","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several publications in the past have already dealt with the topic of adaptive search result ranking and appropriate ranking metrics. Newer approaches also took personalized ranking attributes of a connected Social Web platform into account to form so called Social Commerce Applications. However, these approaches were often limited to data silos of closed-platform data providers and none of the contributions discussed the benefits of Linked Data in building social-aware e-commerce applications so far. Therefore, we present a first formalization of a scoring model for a social-aware search approach that takes user interaction from multiple social networks into account. In contrast to other existing solutions, our approach focuses on a Linked Data information management in order to easily combine social data from different social networks. We analyze the possible influence of friend activities to the relevance of a person’s search intent and how it can be combined with other ranking factors in a formalized scoring model. As a result, we implement a first demonstrator built upon RDF data to show how an application can present the user an adaptive search result list depending on the users’ current social context.","PeriodicalId":434189,"journal":{"name":"GI-Jahrestagung","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114481091","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Municipalities in sparsely populated counties are confronted with the problem of providing a basic supply of public mobility services. Especially for rural areas, established public transport means have to be complemented by additional, new, and innovative mobility services. NEMo (Sustainable satisfaction of mobility demands in rural regions) pursues the development of sustainable and innovative mobility services based on tailored business models for rural areas. Traveler information systems are enhanced to handle a range of active and passive mobility services in a very flexible way. Within this paper, three flexible cases are demonstrated. The SENSEI framework for software evolution provides improved software support by adding and modifying capabilities of the existing services to re-orchestrate and re-implement mobility services.","PeriodicalId":434189,"journal":{"name":"GI-Jahrestagung","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114817336","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Der Beitrag wirft einige mit der Beteiligung an ziviler Sicherheitsforschung verbundener Fragestellungen auf, welche die Rolle und Wirkung rechtswissenschaftlicher Teilvorhaben solcher Verbundprojekte beleuchten. Im Schwerpunkt befasst sich der Artikel mit dem Potenzial rechtlicher Begrenzung neuer technischer Einsatzmittel und Maßnahmen der Polizei durch ELSI-Forschung. Hierbei wird ihr Einwirkungspotenzial auf die Projektergebnisse, Gesetzgebung und polizeiliche Praxis diskutiert. Weiterhin werden die Voraussetzungen innerhalb des Verbundprojektes für eine erfolgreiche ELSI-Integration aus rechtlicher Sicht sowie für den Transfer der Forschungsfragen in die wissenschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichen Diskurse thematisiert. Angesprochen werden weiterhin die mit den Förderprogrammen verbundenen Erwartungen an und Problematiken der ELSI-Forschung. Der Beitrag liefert einen Diskussionsbeitrag als work in progress. Die Notwendigkeit weiterer theoretischer und empirischer Untersuchung zu ELSI in der zivilen Sicherheitsforschung sowie der kritischen Reflexion hinsichtlich ihrer Rolle sind bereits jetzt offensichtlich.","PeriodicalId":434189,"journal":{"name":"GI-Jahrestagung","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117127434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Informa-tions- und Kommunikationstechnologien (IKT) können hierbei eine entscheidende Rolle spielen. Einerseits, da eine Effizienzsteigerung von oder durch IKT zu einer klimafreundlicheren Nutzung beitragen kann, und andererseits, da IKT zu einem erhöhten Ressourcenverbrauch führen kann. Um diese Thematik weiter zu untersuchen, wird in dieser Arbeit eine systematische Literaturrecherche durchgeführt, um Herausforderungen und Potenziale in der Adressierung der Klimakrise durch eine effiziente und nachhaltige Entwicklung des IKT-Sektors zu analysieren. Die dabei untersuchte Literatur beinhaltet Herausforderungen wie zum Beispiel den hohen Energie- und Materialverbrauch der IKT-Geräte und Datenzentren sowie die entstehenden Entsorgungskosten und das Konsumverhalten der Nutzer*innen. Deswegen sollten die Nutzer*innen mehr Informationen zur Wartung, zum Kauf gebrauchter Geräte, und zum Recyceln/Entsorgen erhalten. Die Analyse lieferte aber auch viele Potenziale. Durch IKT können Effizienzsteigerungen in den Bereich Industrie, Landwirtschaft, Verkehr und Transport erreicht und auch umweltschädliche Geräte substituiert werden. Durch diese Potenziale kann es aber, wie in anderen Bereichen, zu einem Rebound-Effekt kommen.","PeriodicalId":434189,"journal":{"name":"GI-Jahrestagung","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116312911","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
