Although modelling tools and code generation increase the development speed and the quality of the developed system in general, the availability of several modelling languages for different stages of the development process also introduces additional problems: Developers use several models to describe the same system on different levels of abstraction, which serve as documentation, basis for code generation, but also for model-based analyses of system properties such as security, performance, or reliability. If models are modified independently, inconsistencies can arise, which lead to incorrect results of these analyses, complicate the implementation of new features, and create errors at later stages in development that are costly to fix. In this paper, we apply the model-based Vitruvius approach, which preserves consistency in heterogeneous modelling environments, to a scenario of automotive systems development. The scenario includes the modelling standards SysML, AMALTHEA and ASCET. We show, at the example of an onboard controlling unit, how the Vitruvius approach can be used to increase consistency in automotive system development and reduce the accidental complexity that arises for developers who have to work with heterogeneous modelling languages.","PeriodicalId":434189,"journal":{"name":"GI-Jahrestagung","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133430212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This calls for the use of generic platforms. However, there is a trade-off, since different researchers from many different disciplines look at their objects from different theoretical perspectives. This raises the general question how we can deal with this very typical conĆict, and whether agile development might be a suitable development method to cope with it. By addressing this question, we report on an experience during a DH summer school as a condensed experiment in dealing with this trade-off using the iLCM as a generic platform. In summary, although we have not arrived at a procedural solutions for balancing individual user needs and generic problems which call for generic tools, our summer academy experience well illustrates the high potential of a software eco-system supporting the approach of agile development in Digital Humanities, and may help to better understand the role of generic software tools and their role in DH.","PeriodicalId":434189,"journal":{"name":"GI-Jahrestagung","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133167837","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dieser Beitrag widmet sich der Eliminierung von Duplikaten, welche bei der Spezi®kation von Fahrzeugfunktionen mittels UML Aktivitätsdiagrammen auftreten. Es wird dargestellt, wie in UML Aktivitätsdiagrammen identi®zierte Duplikate automatisiert eliminiert werden, ohne die ursprüngliche Funktionalität zu verändern. Besides, new business models evolve from recent digitization processes because of ongoing information technologies in the world of business. The question to solve within this paper is what is the potential value of digitization for business? Some managers are still hesitating or even refusing to enter their enterprises into a digital transformation. This study will be part of a better understanding, that considering several issues of digitization can be worth it! Based on a qualitative research by interviewing German-speaking experts, the authors found six factors (efficiency, innovation, data privacy, mobility, new business models and human integration) and two moderating effects (industry and firm size) that influence the potential value of digitization for business.","PeriodicalId":434189,"journal":{"name":"GI-Jahrestagung","volume":"244 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131898358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
