The tambaqui Colossoma macropomum presents satisfactory zootechnical performance in Pará State, but research related to its food management in recirculation aquaculture systems are scarce, in view of this, this work aimed to evaluate the zootechnical performance of tambaqui juveniles raised in Recirculation aquaculture systems. A total of 324 tambaqui juveniles with an average initial weight of 24.7 g were used in a recirculation system with three treatments in triplicate, with fish fed two, three and four times a day. The fish were fed with commercial ration with 32 and 36% of crude protein for 40 days and with a feeding rate of 4%. During the experiment were measured: temperature; pH; dissolved oxygen; pH; conductivity; turbidity; salinity, dissolved solids and nitrogen compounds of the system water, and these had a low variation between treatments. In this sense, the objective of the research was to characterize the fishing activity and socioeconomic structure of artisanal fishermen in the Costa Tapará community, Santarém, Pará State. Data collection was carried out through interviews with semistructured forms to 82 fishermen out of a total of 302 registered fishermen, during the period from March to November 2019. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the average age of the fishermen was 37.6 (81.7%) years (± 11.5), 70.7% had incomplete primary education and 91.5% had fishing as their main source of income. The fishing activity is presented as artisanal and on a small scale, practiced in small wooden rowing and/or motorized boats, employing multiplicity of equipment highlighting the reed, mesh, and net. July and August stood out as the best fishing season. The biggest problems identified in the community were socioenvironmental conflicts. After the selection and reading of the articles, the taxonomy, biology, ecology, fisheries and conservation status of the species were characterized. The angelfish is a freshwater fish from the Amazon basin that has great commercial importance, acquired mainly due to its exuberance (morphology and color) and for adapting very well to other species. It is an omnivorous fish, which inhabits bentho-pelagic environments, being easily found in rivers and streams with a high density of vegetation. It has a small size, reaching up to 15 cm in standard length. It presents several varieties of coloration commercialized in Brazil and in the world. It is a species that is not at risk of extinction, and its fishing and trade is permitted in accordance with current legislation. Santos","doi":"10.46732/actafish.2021.9.1.66-71","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.46732/actafish.2021.9.1.66-71","url":null,"abstract":"The objective of this study was to characterize the socio-economic profile of fish farming in the municipality of Bujaru (PA), through information of a social nature for producers and zootechnics of the production of the activity. Through non-probabilistic snowball sampling, questionnaires were applied to 30 fish farmers, performing image records during visits. The results were entered into the specific database, and submitted to descriptive statistical analysis (mean and standard deviation) in the BioEstat 5.3 program. Fish farming in Bujaru is carried out by male fish farmers (100%), most of whom are married (75%), with low education, exercising the activity for 5.10 ± 3.68 years. The production in the municipality is directed to species such as tambacu, pacu, tambaqui, pirapitinga, pirarucu and Nile tilapia, being carried out extensively, mostly in a family character, in excavated nurseries and igarapé channels, aiming at subsistence, commercialization and leisure. In addition to fish farming, producers develop other creations such as beef cattle, swine and poultry, as well as the planting of cassava, bananas and açaí. Regarding the inputs, the cost of the feed was costly and as for the acquired juveniles, many showed high mortality and heterogeneity in the lots. It also verified whether producers' dissatisfaction with public management in the activity, as well as their individualism, causing an obstacle to the development of the sector. Thus, this paper aims to discuss the need to standardize a minimum size of capture and propose alternatives for your use with commercial value, without increasing the current fishing effort and the impact on stock. Previous papers define that the size ranges of zoological length from 28 to 39 cm may present sexually mature individuals, its possible to use individuals with a size of 30 to 35 cm that are currently discarded at random, according to the fisherman's decision. The lack of pattern of minimum size represents a waste of fishing effort and usable protein of around 14%, which could have been used if the 30 cm length had been adopted.
