Since multiple standards exist, a generic road map is constructed that shows basic functions supported by different standards. Standards are mapped into these basic functions. Tracking historical links allow users to use out of date URLs, retrieve removed documents and document snapshots. Besides the Moore law increments of the CPU speed, it should be considered that the capacity of the main memory in the last years is increasing at an even more impressive rate. One of the consequences of a continuous increment of memory resource is that we can design and implement memory-embedded Web sites, where both the static resources and the database information are kept in main memory. In this paper, we evaluate the impact of memory trends on the performance of e-commerce sites that continue to be an important reference for Internet-based services in terms of complexity of the hardware/software technology and in terms of performance, availability and scalability requirements. However, most results are valid even for other Web-based services. We demonstrate through experiments on a real system how the system bottlenecks change depending on the amount of memory that is (or will be) available for the Web site data. Promoting and stimulating the reuse of educational resources (reusability) diminishes the costs and at the same time improves the quality of the generated systems. The exploitation of already existing and previously tested contents makes possible the creation of e-learning systems with more quality, low cost and shorter time. However, the mobile computing systems have limitations because of the resource-thin mobile clients operating on battery power. The MDVM system allows the mobile clients to utilize memory and CPU resources of server-groups to overcome the resource limitations of clients. This paper proposes a round-2 randomized algorithm to elect a leader and co-leader of the server-group without assuming any particular network topology. The algorithm is implemented and the network-paging latency values of wireless network are measured experimentally. Results indicate that in most cases the algorithm successfully terminates in first round. The network-paging latency values indicate that MDVM system is realizable using 3G/4G wireless communication systems. How to get the data we want and how to manage these huge volumes of data become great challenges. There are a number of existing approaches for solving these challenges including semantic Web, middleware, semantic multimedia information and databases. We are taking a different approach and believe that today's storage systems need to be fundamental changed to meet these challenges. In this paper, we first discuss the possible changes in storage systems. We then present the intelligence to be included in future storage systems. With the intelligence, a new architecture of storage systems can be formed. The essential concepts to be parts of the future storage systems include active storage, object-based storage, autonomic storage, and application-aware storage. We argue the object-based storage device (OSD) concept is the most fundamental. Web services enable to produce the relevant information to users via standard methods and to make more flexible service sequences using Web service composition. As a clerk helps us to buy items in the store, Web services should provide more active services in accordance with user's situation and environments. But the composition based on static rules is currently dominant in Web service composition. In this paper, we propose Web service composition based on behavior network. Behavior network generates behaviors automatically through the internal links and external links with sensors and goals, and can be applied to actively construct dynamic service sequences using Web services. To verify the usefulness of our proposed method, we have developed an application based on behavior network using Amazon Web services. We have conducted the experiments with the application and have evaluated the usefulness.
