The main contributions of MDF4SS are the ability to describe multi-dimensional properties of a single service and a Multi-dimensional solution to services selection that optimizes the overall property of composite service appropriate to customer’s constraints and preferences. We have implemented a prototype based on MDF4SS.","PeriodicalId":433802,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Next Generation Web Services Practices (NWeSP'05)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123618742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition a Web site for an examination is frequently implemented, because examinations are repeatedly performed. Moreover in a Web based examination it is common to build several displaying Web sites for marking results with different formats, but same content. In this case, each Web site is described separately. In order to implement a Web site for an examination, Web site information has to be described with HTML or a conventional home page (HP) builder. Using HTML or a HP builder, some IT expertise is required. So the task of building a Web site is usually assigned to IT professionals. As a result, it takes time and money. This paper presents a synthesis system for Web based examination generation and marking by XML.","PeriodicalId":433802,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Next Generation Web Services Practices (NWeSP'05)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117007432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The methods range from AI planning to automated theorem proving and graph search algorithms. However, the usability of these methods is greatly affected by two assumptions. Firstly, it is assumed that developers provide consistent declarative descriptions of Web services. Secondly, it is assumed that there exists a sufficient set of atomic Web services, which would facilitate the composition of all other Web services. In this paper we propose a method to ensure these two assumptions by using analysis of Web services' descriptions. In particular, we apply partial deduction for identifying possible inconsistencies in Web service descriptions. Our method also determines possibly missing atomic Web services, which should be implemented in order to compose a requested composite Web service.","PeriodicalId":433802,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Next Generation Web Services Practices (NWeSP'05)","volume":"169 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129419402","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The work in this paper is based on QoS IC (QoS Information & Computation) framework in Taher, L. et al., (2005). QoS IC framework supports QoS-based service selection in service oriented architecture (SOA). In this paper, we extend the functionality of QoS manager component of QoS IC framework with QoS-constraints model. QoS-constraints establish association relationship between different QoS properties and are used to govern the QoS matchmaking process in the underlying QoS matchmaking algorithm. The matchmaking process maps QoS requirements of consumers with the published QoS information of providers. We enhance the matchmaking algorithm to accommodate QoS-constraints.","PeriodicalId":433802,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Next Generation Web Services Practices (NWeSP'05)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122206037","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
