 Aim: This paper explores the youthfulness impact on farm income in vertically integrated green tea markets in Tanzania.
 Study Design: This study employed a descriptive research design.
 Place and Duration of Study: Southern Highlands Tanzania, between January and June 2023.
 Methodology: A cross-sectional survey using a structured close ended questionnaire was conducted to collect quantitative data from 277 farmers. Data was cleaned in Excel and analysed using SPSS IBM Statistics Version 26 for both descriptive and inferential statistics. The Ordinal Logistic Regression model was used to assess null hypothesis that youthfulness have no significant impact on farm income.
 Findings: Results indicate negative association between youthfulness and increased farm incomes, yet the impact lacks statistical significance (P=0.177), suggesting that youthfulness has limited influence on farm income (null hypothesis accepted). Likewise, land access, farming technology, market information and education have negative impact on tea farm income, but its education and land access effect only which had statistical significance at the P=0.05 level. Conversely, vertically integrated market experience (VIME) positively influence farm income but lack statistical significance (P=0.443).
 Conclusion: This study conclude that, no significant impact of youthfulness on farm income in vertically integrated green tea markets in Tanzania. Similarly, land, farming technology, market information access and education negatively affect income level. Besides, VIME positively influence green tea farm income.
 Recommendations: To enhance farm income in vertically integrated green tea markets, it is recommended that policy and practice should prioritize addressing factors such as market dynamics, resource management, pricing policies, and cost management, which may potentially offset the otherwise positive influence of youthfulness, land access, farming technology, market information access, and education on green tea income. Future research may explore youthfulness impacts on various subsectors alongside contextual factors, like market dynamics, resource and cost management.","PeriodicalId":433532,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Economics, Business and Accounting","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135835427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This will invariably spur them towards increased production hence promoting agricultural development. Hence the study analysed the involvement of agro-based cooperatives in agricultural marketing and development in Nigeria. It specifically examined the reason behind the formation of these cooperatives, assessed their involvement in agro processing and marketing. It further identified the various constraints to their active participation in agro-marketing. The paper adopted a qualitative research design. Thus structured interview and focus group discussions were employed in collecting qualitative data from selected agricultural cooperatives in Aninri LGA of Enugu State, Nigeria. The qualitative data collected were analysed using thematic analysis. The study revealed that most agro-based cooperatives in Nigeria were yet to evolve from the level of solely seeking assistance to a purpose driven business oriented enterprise.It also found out that most of these cooperatives are multipurpose in nature with very few performing marketing functions for their members. It identified farmers’ apathy towards cooperative marketing, poor appreciation by rural farmers of the economic benefits of cooperative marketing, absence of a felt need to run a business oriented venture among rural farmers as factors militating against the active involvement of these cooperatives in agro processing and marketing. The paper suggests the need for the transformation of agricultural cooperatives in Nigeria into market competitive ventures characterised by active involvement in agro marketing, extensive education of rural farmers on the economic benefits of cooperative marketing, introduction of economic policies and measures that will create an enabling environment for these cooperatives to effectively engage in marketing activities.","PeriodicalId":433532,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Economics, Business and Accounting","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136336599","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to gather information from women-owned SMEs, a cross-sectional survey methodology was adopted. A cluster sampling approach was used to select 234 participants at random for the study and questionnaires used as a research instrument for data collection. The study's hypotheses were tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The result found that taking risks, being aggressive in the marketplace, and being independent are crucial entrepreneurial orientations for the success of SMEs in Kebbi State, Nigeria. It is assumed that innovation will boost business performance, but the results of this study show that innovation has the opposite effect on women-owned businesses, contradicting this expectation. The study concluded that taking risks, being aggressive in a competitive environment, and having autonomy benefit SMEs’ performance. The study recommended that Owner-managers, decision-makers, and researchers can benefit greatly from the findings of this study in order to better understand how entrepreneurial orientations affect business performance. Owner-managers of SMEs should be encouraged and emphasize on risk-taking, independence, and competitive aggression to enhance their performance and economic effect. It is significant to highlight that placing too much emphasis on innovation should be minimized.","PeriodicalId":433532,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Economics, Business and Accounting","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135246034","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Understanding the leading causes of gold price changes is essential as it has traditionally been a significant financial and cultural symbol in India. The study uses a thorough methodology to examine the evolution of gold prices by combining macroeconomic and market-specific data. The research starts by evaluating the prior research on the variables that impact the price of gold and identifies the essential factors. The study also examines the distinctive elements of the Indian setting, such as regional demand patterns, festival seasons, governmental policies, and import/export rules. The study offers a more complex picture of the Indian gold market by considering essential factors. Understanding the variables affecting gold prices in India can help market participants forecast price changes, help governments create appropriate rules, and help investors make well-informed decisions.","PeriodicalId":433532,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Economics, Business and Accounting","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135537337","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study adopted ex-post facto research design. In particular, a data set was drawn from the five-year (from 2012 to 2016) annual reports of 12 Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) operating in Nigeria. The data set collected was analysed by means of panel corrected standard error (PCSE). The study results indicate that whereas corporate age and size have significant positive relationship with IC information disclosure, intellectual capital performance has significant negative association with IC information disclosure. Additionally, corporate profitability is found to have insignificant negative relationship with IC information disclosure. The study results offer useful insights that would assist policymakers and regulators in formulating policies and developing reporting guidelines that, at the moment, are not included in the existing accounting reporting guidelines. Moreover, the paper confirms prior study results in this area and includes such unusually explored IC disclosure driver as IC performance and, thus, extends and deepens existing literature on the determinants of IC information disclosure.","PeriodicalId":433532,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Economics, Business and Accounting","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135817660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data used is secondary data in the form of panel data covering 34 province in Indonesia from 2017 to 2021. Dynamic panel regression estimation is used in this work to analyze statistical data using Stata 13 and Eviews 10 software. According to the study’s partial findings wages have positive effect but not significantly on foreign investment in short and long term. In addition, infrastructure has a positive and significant impact on foreign investment both the long and short term. Meanwhile political stability was found to have a negative but insignificant effect on foreign investment, both in short and long term. However, wages, infrastructure, and political stability simultaneously have a significant effect on foreign investment in Indonesia. Therefore, according to this study, the government must continue to increase infrastructure development. In addition, workers and employers must take into account their needs when setting wage rules. Even though the nation is in a dynamic condition, another component that must be considered is related to a solid democracy.","PeriodicalId":433532,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Economics, Business and Accounting","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135965619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
