In addition, the World Wide Web (WWW) technology is an appropriate partner with the internet that brings pleasant facility in order to facilitate people's daily lives. However, recent situation is changing whereby the primary concern is more on developing usable website to ensure user's satisfaction. Several researches have built website or product by employing user-centered design process to ascertain that it meets users' needs. Some of the studies also attempted in evaluating the end-product with the purpose to observe the usability. Common process in user-centered design methodology consists of requirements gathering, needs assessment, design for solution and usability assessment. This is an iterative process until the end-user satisfies with the developed product. In this study, a framework is proposed to be applied in redesigning usable GMI alumni website. Second objective of this research is to gain feedback from client and users for the purpose of web usability evaluation by using fuzzy conjoint analysis.","PeriodicalId":432800,"journal":{"name":"Proceeding of the 3rd International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for the Moslem World (ICT4M) 2010","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126695608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This gives the potential of negative use of their information. Previous works have concentrated largely on privacy in online transaction with just a few on the higher institution of learning, which is regarded as one of the earliest adopters of information technology and the most unsecured environments. This work examines the perception of online privacy among university students with the intention of examining the relationship between the demography, level of awareness and online privacy. The results show that despite there is no significant difference based on gender as well as whether the respondent is in IT related field or not, there is a contradiction between the level of awareness and expected attitude to online privacy.","PeriodicalId":432800,"journal":{"name":"Proceeding of the 3rd International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for the Moslem World (ICT4M) 2010","volume":"186 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131719291","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Applications based on mobile GIS are the best way to provide appropriate solutions for rural populations such as breeders in Senegal. In fact, the breeders have many problems to find water points for their cattle group. So far, the potential geographic location of water points is transmitting orally between breeders. It is worth noticing that this knowledge, in rural areas, is not stored for instance in databases and depends only on the availability of breeders that own these information. Many solutions for setting up rural information systems have been proposed, but most of them are either PC-based, or rely on proprietary software, or do not take into account electricity constraints which are crucial in rural areas. In this paper, we present an information system based on Short Message Service (SMS) technology and mobile GIS for pastoral mobility (breeders) in Senegal. The system is based on Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) [1] format, adapted to mobile phone. Our proposed solution is able to keep up-to-date water points status as well to optimize the seasonal migration of breeders.","PeriodicalId":432800,"journal":{"name":"Proceeding of the 3rd International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for the Moslem World (ICT4M) 2010","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125889917","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Project implementation is a complex process which requires simultaneous attention to a variety of factors - people, technology and processes. To determine whether a project is a success or a failure, one needs to know what are the important criteria of a project implementation in the eyes of the stakeholders. For this study, we are identifying the CSFs from a project manager's view. This study tries to identify which processes, people, tools and environment factors do experienced project managers regard as CSFs for IS projects implementation. Lessons learnt from these experienced project managers provide an important framework for establishing a sense of IS project implementation success, so that others can learn and take the necessary steps. This study is far from being exhaustive, but it can contribute to project managers by identifying and establishing the CSFs for IS project implementation, as there are not many studies concerning this being carried out for Malaysian Institution of Higher Learning (IHL).","PeriodicalId":432800,"journal":{"name":"Proceeding of the 3rd International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for the Moslem World (ICT4M) 2010","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126924093","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
