However, small to medium — sized organizations usually do not have technical and financial conditions to monitor the climatic conditions of their DC. Thus, this may imply from excessive energy costs, drastic reduction of the life spam of the equipment and the incorrect processing of data and systems. In this paper we present the open source based solution GreenHop that aims to perform environmental monitoring of the DC server room. This paper presents four tests with different temperature settings, which is also included the application of free cooling method. We present a comparison of the energy impact of all settings. Thus, we aim to provide ambiental monitoring of the DC server room while we keep the system customizable to implement and replicate.","PeriodicalId":432676,"journal":{"name":"2016 35th International Conference of the Chilean Computer Science Society (SCCC)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122390948","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is inspired by super symmetry, in which theoretical physicists postulate the existence of super partners for each fundamental particle of the standard model. Under these same ideas and analyzes on the structures of permutations, one-one correspondence (or entanglements) was found in the set of permutations. In this work is proposed exploit the benefits of symmetry to split the search space of combinatorial optimization problems on permutations. Therefore, a strategy exploration landscape objective function was developed based on the entanglement, which is simultaneously evaluate related permutations. The experimental results indicate that this approach provides improved computational time brute-force search and higher quality solutions on genetic algorithms is achieved.","PeriodicalId":432676,"journal":{"name":"2016 35th International Conference of the Chilean Computer Science Society (SCCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129897468","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the same time, the presence of abandoned wells with unknown permeability and possible cracks in it, make possible the leakage of CO2. So, monitoring wells can be placed to detect those leakages. A multi-objective algorithm combined with Kalman Filter can be used to determine how many monitoring wells are required and where to place them, to reduce the uncertainty of the system. Experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of this novel proposal for CO2 capturing and the advantages of considering this problem as multi-objective for the first time.","PeriodicalId":432676,"journal":{"name":"2016 35th International Conference of the Chilean Computer Science Society (SCCC)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124193922","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this reason, the prediction of this kind of phenomenon is considered a very important task that involves a high degree of complexity and precision. The ability to predict the forest fire behaviour constitutes an important tool for managers, helping to improve the effectiveness of fire prevention, detection and firefighting resources allocation. For this reason, prediction methods should be configured to operate as efficiently as possible. In this paper, a calibration study of Evolutionary-Statistical System with Island Model's evolutionary parameters is presented (ESS-IM). ESS-IM is a general-parallel uncertainty reduction method applied to the forest fires spread prediction.","PeriodicalId":432676,"journal":{"name":"2016 35th International Conference of the Chilean Computer Science Society (SCCC)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128177436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To solve these issues there are a large number of methods for recognition, which can be grouped according to the approach by which the recognition process is addressed, such groups are; holistic methods and featrure based. In this paper we address a feature-based method called Elastic Bunch Graph Matching (EBGM) which is appropriate for an uncontrolled environment for its tolerance to changing background and certain variations of pose, also by having a lower sensitivity variations of illumination which is one of the weaknesses in the holistic methods, which compared to them EBGM without any modification obtained results alongside well-known methods as Principal Component Analysis (PCA). EBGM has several parameters that can be configured and most of the works in literature uses the default settings of the original author. In this respect this paper presents modifications to these parameters as regards the number of models, illumination enhancement in the preprocessing phase, the configurations Gabor masks and modifying the similarity function. Finally we corroborate the existence of improvements on our experimental results.","PeriodicalId":432676,"journal":{"name":"2016 35th International Conference of the Chilean Computer Science Society (SCCC)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130053868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Testing techniques and criteria have been created over time to help testers to devise high quality test suites. However, duly and systematically testing a software to reach high coverage on criteria, such as branch coverage, requires much effort. In this context, identifying characteristics of a software that may influence branch coverage is important to create software easier to test since the beginning. Therefore, the main purpose of this paper is to present an investigation conducted by us to identify the differences between methods whose branches were fully covered and the methods that have been partially covered. This investigation has been conducted on 39 open source Java projects.","PeriodicalId":432676,"journal":{"name":"2016 35th International Conference of the Chilean Computer Science Society (SCCC)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130990840","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But in this world increasingly full of data, it is necessary to extend that possibility to non-expert users. To do this, novel methods to identify their needs in a transparent manner are needed. This article presents a taxonomy of requirements introduced with the aim of identifying that data mining technique to be used by non-expert users depending on their initial expectations. The taxonomy was validated by architects to analyze data related to the spatial formation of land value in regions of the province of Alicante, Spain. The results show its relevance. This proposal can be extended in future work.","PeriodicalId":432676,"journal":{"name":"2016 35th International Conference of the Chilean Computer Science Society (SCCC)","volume":"10 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115072016","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The visual features are extracted from spectrogram images generated from the birdsong audio, while the acoustic features are taken directly from the audio. Texture descriptors were used to describe the spectrogram content, as this is the main visual content found in this kind of image. The texture operators used are Local Binary Pattern (LBP), Local Phase Quantization (LPQ), Robust Local Binary Pattern (RLBP), Gray-Scale Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) and Gabor filters. The acoustic features are, in turn, described using Rhythm Histogram (RH), Rhythm Patterns (RP) and Statistical Spectrum Descriptor (SSD.) Aiming to perform more fare comparisons, the experiments performed were made on a similar database already used in other works. In the classification step, SVM classifier was used and the final results were taken by using 10-fold cross validation. And over all performed tests the combination between acoustic and visual features produce the best rate of this work 91.08%.","PeriodicalId":432676,"journal":{"name":"2016 35th International Conference of the Chilean Computer Science Society (SCCC)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128982538","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The rationale behind this is that classifiers obtained from this three different representation of the signal may present some complementarity to each other. By this way, one can improve the recognition rates already obtained in previous works which has explored only the original signal content. LBP texture features were used to represent the spectrogram content, and the classification step was supported by SVM. The spectrogram images were zoned taking to account a perceptual scale, and a specific classifier was created for each zone, which has led us to combine classifiers outputs to get the final decision. The performance of our approach reaches the recognition rate about 88.56% which, to the best of our knowledge, is the best rate ever obtained on the LMD dataset using artist filter constraint.","PeriodicalId":432676,"journal":{"name":"2016 35th International Conference of the Chilean Computer Science Society (SCCC)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131938356","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
