Diaz, Diego Muñoz Concha, Nicólas Francisco Aguilera Fernández","doi":"10.29035/pai.7.1.112","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.29035/pai.7.1.112","url":null,"abstract":"Peasant communities in the central zone of Chile received two heritage crops from past generations: quinua (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) and chili pepper (Capsicum spp.). These crops are valued by consumers, governments, scientists and international organizations for their nutritional contributions, and the environmental services that they can provide in the context of climatic change and biodiversity loss. The hypothesis of this work is that peasant communities have preserved these corps by adapting their agricultural management, processing and marketing systems in response to changes in markets and public policies. The main goal was to identify the adaptation, characterizing and comparing the production, processing and marketing systems in quinua in the dryland area of the Region of O’Higgins to chili pepper in the zone of Villa Prat in the Region of Maule. The results show that the communities have carried out collective and family actions in order to adapt production and processing technologies. In addition, they have established collaborative alliances with public and private institutions to reach different markets. There are differences between the two territories. In the Region of O´Higgins, the government has supported the formation of peasant cooperatives able to process and commercialize quinua in national and international markets. In contrast, in the Region of Maule, support have been focused on improving infrastructure and equipment for individual entrepreneurs processing chili pepper on a family scale. Currently, the government promotes the integration of peasants to short marketing circuits. In this regard, it will be important to develop alliances among producers and urban consumer organizations aware of the nutritional value, peasant origin and heritage characteristics of the products. Based on the accompaniment of the Colectivo Sabuesos Guerreras A. C., we analyze the context of the pandemic, as well as the responses given by groups and relatives of disappeared persons. The methodology used in the article is documentary and qualitative, focused on interviews and discussions, as well as meetings with representatives of groups and human rights centers, and on documentary sources reviews. The pandemic has raised new challenges and new forms of intervention and involvement of popular sectors while searching for the disappeared ones. The socio-sanitary situation also mobilizes other forms of knowledge production that urge to tie previous knowledge, practical experience and the search for information to make visible the ways in which the violations of human rights is not suspended by government decisions, but, on the contrary, is intensified and worsened during the sanitary contingency. It starts, first of all, from the importance of the narrative as a social expression and therapeutic practice. As well as, secondly, the importance of emotions in times of threats, changes and uncertainties, and their expression that relieves. With these two premises, stories were requested about the feelings experienced in the context of the pandemic in the spring of 2020. Research is combined with social practice, physical distancing is saved and introspection, reflection and emotional expression are encouraged. This relative and percentage importance has meant that these old age groups are, more often than not, considered for different public policies, where many circumstances, such as the lack of physical and/or mental health, productivity, dependency and vulnerability are taken into account. Years old is associated to negative attributes, then stereotypes that do not correspond to the reality of older people are created. Researchers use the terms agedness or ageism to refer to this concept. Regarding Covid-19 pandemic, currently ongoing in Mexico in 2020, a question may be asked, what is the social representation (SR) broadcast by the Mexican media about older people and the so-called Covid-19 pandemic? The contribution shows a progress in research on subjective well-being in older people. \u0000\u0000As a theory, social representations (SR) deals with the way people appropriate the knowledge and information circulating in society; how in everyday life, social thought, popular knowledge or common sense is constructed. Thus, in this process, people construct their own attitudes, beliefs, emotions, explanations and behavior through communication between individuals, SRs are built and rebuilt in groups and societies. There is a type of representation called mute, which do not involve verbal language. They are usually images, photographs, among other ways of disseminating information. Qualitative methodology and open theoretical sampling were used for analyzing communication promotions were analyzed in the Mexican print and visual media regarding the presentation of old age as part of the Covid-19 communication campaign. Es preciso caracterizar claramente de que “critica” se trata cuando hablamos del Trabajo Social critico, y que lugar tiene la critica en el ejercicio (teorico, politico o practico) profesional. En este articulo analizaremos los sentidos de la critica y la critica radical en el Trabajo Social, en que consiste el Trabajo Social critico, y la posibilidad de una practica profesional critica. EnglishMuch has been said, in our profession, of a “transformative”, “revolutionary”, “popular”, “alternative” Social Work. The critical analysis shows that these expressions represent much more a yearning and a desire, than an expression of reality. Today we talk about a “critical” Social Work; but with this we cannot make the same mistakes, to imagine that with a new adjective we can alter the historical sense of professional practice. It is necessary to clearly characterize what “criticism” is when we talk about critical Social Work, and what place criticism has in the professional (theoretical, political or practical) exercise. It gives account of the attention of majors from that optics in conjunction, describing some of the current professional projects. El equipo de investigacion se encuentra conformado por estudiantes, graduadas/os y docentes de la Carrera de Trabajo Social. En el mismo se desarrolla un analisis de las multiples, heterogeneas y desiguales formas de transitar la vejez, en relacion con los diversos territorios y contextos sociales. El objetivo general de la investigacion es analizar las relaciones entre la cuestion social, las politicas publicas y la desigualdad en las vejeces en Argentina desde 1976 hasta la actualidad, a fin de aportar categorias conceptuales que permitan dar cuenta de las particularidades del contexto historico argentino y de la caracterizacion de las vejeces desiguales en nuestro pais. La investigacion en desarrollo es de tipo interpretativa a partir del analisis de fuentes secundarias y de la construccion de fuentes primarias de informacion. Se aborda al objeto de estudio desde las ciencias sociales. En la investigacion en curso las unidades de analisis seran las personas mayores que tengan antecedentes en diversas formas de participacion social. La variable de analisis es la cuestion social de las vejeces con las siguientes dimensiones de analisis: politicas publicas, enfoque de genero y construccion de derechos. Especificamente: politicas de seguridad social, transversalidad del genero en el curso vital, dentro de los derechos sociales se abordaran especificamente el derecho a la educacion, la participacion politica y social. Las tecnicas utilizadas son el analisis documental de textos, discursos y documentos historicos y la realizacion de entrevistas en profundidad y grupos focales con personas mayores con antecedentes de participacion social previa y/o actual y de diferentes generos, clases sociales y edades. Este proceso indagatorio pretende demostrar como los participantes reproducen pre-nociones en tanto imaginarios sociales sobre vejez y envejecimiento, que se constituyen en productos que las sociedades van construyendo a traves de mecanismos de representaciones sociales que se trasmiten por la culturacion, endoculturacion y aculturacion. Se parte del supuesto que a partir de los imaginarios construidos y comunicados se configurara un mapeo de caracterizar- caricaturizar la vejez desde las perspectivas del mundo tradicional y del mundo emergente e insurgente de ese ambito de representaciones, como de sus formas procesuales de comprender la vejez y las vejeces. El estudio presenta dos recorridas, por un lado, se estudiaran los discursos de los estudiantes del nivel avanzado que ingresaron a la licenciatura de Trabajo Social y optaron por el area de vejez (2009- 2018) y por otro lado, se indagaran los discursos de profesionales de Trabajo Social y otras areas de saber, como de estudiantes avanzados de la licenciatura de Trabajo Social (2010- 2018), que participaron en los Cursos de Educacion Permanente de Vejez y Envejecimiento de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de la Republica.
