The insulin pen that can be used electronically for routine dose injections, and that is called as bilensülin, was designed to be able to used manually in the emergency. It is aimed that the patient can set the dose easily by using the fairly simple menu of the device. Additionally, the device was not designed as disposable, the device was designed as reusable by changing the insulin tube. Because the tube chamber was designed to be suitable for all types of insulin, it can be used by changing tube without using different pen. Dose accuracy was adjusted with low error by performing insulin dose measurements on a sensitive balance. Patent was attempted for the designed electronic insulin pen, and the studies on the device are continuing.","PeriodicalId":431660,"journal":{"name":"2016 Medical Technologies National Congress (TIPTEKNO)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124849027","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to evaluate this, EKG recordings have been recorded from eight young and healthy volunteers. Happiness, disgust and fear expression were selected for record. The expressions of emotions have been recorded with surface 4 channel EKG during these emotions. Recording was performed in 2 states by all volunteers. In first stage, volunteers were procured artificial emotional expressions without stimulation. In second stage volunteers were procured actual emotional expressions with visual stimulation (by watched short movies about related expression). Heart Rate Variability (HRV) values calculated from recorded EKG data, then interpolation and 4 Hz re-sampling processed. Then, power spectral density have been analyzed using Welch Periodogram. Spectral changes and the sempatovagal balance values discussed and interpreted by virtue of expressions.","PeriodicalId":431660,"journal":{"name":"2016 Medical Technologies National Congress (TIPTEKNO)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122180143","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Effect of heterogeneity which emerges from weightening synaptic conductivity in neural network on performance of weak signal detection is studied. FitzHugh-Nagumo neuron model with electrical coupling is used as excitable system. In the result of numerical simulations; it is seen that the state of the scale-free network being unweighted or weighted, synaptic conductivity and average connectivity degree play a crucial role for determining performance of information coding of neuron population based on vibrational resonance.","PeriodicalId":431660,"journal":{"name":"2016 Medical Technologies National Congress (TIPTEKNO)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125237898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Technological devices developed on the basic of these developments are usually complex and its use isn't easy. In our studies, considering this situation, a wireless system which is used easyly by older adults is improved. Thanks to this system, patient's blood oxygen saturation, blood glucose, blood pressure and body weight values can be monitored remotely and easyly by their doctors. In addition, all of the patients' medical data are saved by server and their doctors can reach patients' medical history data. When all of these operations are in progress, there are wireless devices that are easy to use patient's side.","PeriodicalId":431660,"journal":{"name":"2016 Medical Technologies National Congress (TIPTEKNO)","volume":"285 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132728797","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In general, people use one hand with a superior performance compared to the other hand where that hand is preferred for performing daily activities. It is critical to understand their preference for right or left hand use, especially in cases where the skills should be improved to use both hands precisely in activities required special abilities such as endoscopic surgical operations. A better understanding of these cases will improve the quality of existing surgical education programs, and make a major contribution specifically in designing, improving and managing of simulation-based instructional technologies. In this study, the right- and left-hand preferences (handedness) of people are analyzed from the literature and a simulation-based experimental study is conducted in order to examine the performance differences of the participants while using their right and left hands. The results of this study aimed to guide the curriculum designers and instructional system developers for better designing and developing simulation-based surgical education programs.","PeriodicalId":431660,"journal":{"name":"2016 Medical Technologies National Congress (TIPTEKNO)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124181372","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

People with disabilities such as patients, elderly, babies and infants need intense care in order to communicate socially. More specifically, using human-robot interaction (HRI), this framework can become a suitable solution for problems related to attracting and maintaining the attention levels of children suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Today, humoid robots find more communicative possibilities in social areas (such as schools, houses, hospitals and care homes) because of their structural compatibility.","PeriodicalId":431660,"journal":{"name":"2016 Medical Technologies National Congress (TIPTEKNO)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124682193","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
