Thus, the formulation of the CSB-MoM is presented and then applied to a two-dimensional terrain profile. The maps were compared to determine the quality of the precipitation estimated using the radar data. The technique can model one of the most critical phenomena in telecommunications, frequency dispersion effects which is related to memory effects. Results of measurements reveal the accuracy of this technique under small-signal and large-signal conditions. The interferometers use two-way Wilkinson power dividers connected to two microstrip line with different signal delays, where one of these microstrip lines is based on Hilbert fractal curve. A full wave EM simulator is used to obtain the frequency response. The sensor is in the Kretschmann configuration and composed by five layers: prism, thin gold film, dielectric insulator, array of AuNps and air. The AuNps layer is modeled with an effective permittivity by the Maxwell-Garnett mixing formula, and the wave propagation is analyzed using a generalized reflection coefficient. On the other hand, to guarantee availability and reliability, core optical networks have redundant resources to support extra traffic demand or infrastructure fault. The dedicated path protection (DPP) is an effective and widely used scheme to manage fault. However, networks supporting such strategy keep protection paths in active state, even in conditions where they are not carrying traffic, thus consuming power unnecessarily. To overcome this inefficiency, an effective strategy for decreasing wasted power is an adaptive traffic routing based on sleep mode, which is a state of low power consumption able to change quickly to an active state. The strategy is to route the traffic in order to maximize the amount of network components used by protection paths that can be set in sleep mode. In general, reported strategies reduce power consumption at the expense of increasing blocking probability. In this article, we address the power saving problem in WDM networks using DPP scheme proposing a wider resource search routing and wavelength assignment (RWA), named in-depth (ID-) RWA. Computer simulations based on the COST239 topology showed that the ID-RWA has better performance regarding the compromise between blocking probability and power consumption. A complete antenna layout consists of the main radiating annular slot fed by a wideband differential quadrature coupler. The slot is excited by 2 pairs of orthogonal sectorial patch probes located 90° apart along the slot circumference, whereby the mutual coupling between them is exploited to extend the antenna operation bandwidth. The circularly-polarized antenna was simulated to provide an input match superior to -25 dB for 180-310 GHz with consistent radiation patterns. The mixer has been designed for very low DC power consumption (11 mW) and wideband performance to cover the four channel bands of the IEEE802.15.3c standard. Due to measurement limitations different transformers have been designed for IF, LO and RF path to facilitate the measurement of the mixer with single-ended equipment. The distortions caused by the first SOA were reduced by a second device acting as a saturable absorber. EVM is reduced from 36% to 16% for 10 Gbaud, and from 24% to 12% for 20 Gbaud (Pin = -10.5 dBm). The filter geometry is composed of a rectangular microstrip patch with a perforated complementary split ring resonator (CSRR). The investigation of the filter properties is done considering the perforated patch geometry printed on isotropic and anisotropic substrates. Simulations results are determined by WCIP method and HFSS software, for comparison purpose, for the filter resonant frequency, bandwidth, return loss, and insertion loss. A prototype of the proposed band pass filter printed on isotropic substrate was fabricated and measured.
