Incorporating field trips into graduate programs can increase students’ exposures to real world experiences so that they can incorporate that knowledge as they complete their program. The purpose of the project was to collect and analyze graduate student feedback on 13 in-person interprofessional field trips focused on occupational safety and health. Data were collected through post-field trip structured discussions. Content analysis was used to determine themes. Five themes emerged from the data: Personal Value, Networking and Meeting, Health and Safety Planning and Policy, Environment, and Logistics and Planning. Field trips are valuable learning experiences for graduate students. The field trips in this study offered concrete experiences in occupational safety and health. Post-field trip, students provided feedback through structured discussions, which allowed for reflective observation. Overall, students found personal value in the field trips, observed health and safety procedures and policies in action, learned about various work environments, and provided input on the logistics and planning of field trips.","PeriodicalId":43112,"journal":{"name":"Learning and Teaching-The International Journal of Higher Education in the Social Sciences","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135980909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Higher education institutions play a vital role in fostering creativity among university students. The present study examines the effect of creative self-efficacy and the college innovation climate on creativity of university students through the lens of social cognitive theory. A total of 573 questionnaires were collected from students at five universities in Hebei, China; the resulting data were analyzed through hierarchical regression analysis. The results confirmed that creative self-efficacy has a significant effect and that college innovation climate has a significant positive effect on university students’ creativity. Furthermore, the study revealed the moderating effect of the college innovation climate on the relation between creative self-efficacy and creativity. These findings offer theoretical and practical insights for enhancing creativity among university students.","PeriodicalId":43112,"journal":{"name":"Learning and Teaching-The International Journal of Higher Education in the Social Sciences","volume":"5 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2023-09-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90430094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the first phase, an initial pool of 11 items were generated based on concept analysis and a literature review. Moreover, the content was validated and reviewed by international cooperation experts in the field of higher education. The evaluation in the second phase consisted of an item analysis and an exploratory factor analysis. Following the development process, one item was removed due to low discrimination after performing the item analysis, and the questionnaire was finalized with 10 in 2 dimensions, which are overseas and domestic international cooperations with acceptable reliability and validity. It was found that most of the participants completed the questionnaire without difficulty in about 1-2 minutes, it can be claimed that the IEC is an easy-to-use questionnaire that can be applied in future studies.","PeriodicalId":43112,"journal":{"name":"Learning and Teaching-The International Journal of Higher Education in the Social Sciences","volume":"163 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2023-09-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73940492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Leadership enhancement of college administrators is conducive to improving the structured reform of the internal structure of the college organization, establishing sound college system management, and improving the level of school education. It will also promote the academicization process of the college's internal organization, strengthen academic research and discipline construction, and promote educational exchanges and cooperation between teachers and students. It not only encourages the harmony and coordination of disciplines within the college, optimizes the allocation of resources, but also improves the level of education and teaching and further enhances the academic competitiveness of the whole university. This study explores the strategies for strengthening the leadership of development college administrators by sorting out theories, drawing on the theoretical perspectives of  Bolman & Deal, Sergiovanni, and Zheng, and doing empirical research by comprehensively applying the questionnaire survey research method. In this study, five universities in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were grouped for a questionnaire survey using random sampling. College administrators and faculty, and staff members were assessed to provide an empirical research basis for leadership enhancement strategies. Finally, the corresponding plan was provided for the results of the study.","PeriodicalId":43112,"journal":{"name":"Learning and Teaching-The International Journal of Higher Education in the Social Sciences","volume":"34 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2023-09-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80136735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
