The maize plant population recommendation for the second crop is drastically reduced. This work aimed to evaluate the morphophysiological characters of ear and yield components in different populations of plants and maize hybrids. The experiment was cultivated in a no-tillage system in the second crop of the 2019/2020 agricultural year in Unaí-MG and carried out according to a randomized block design in subdivided plots, with the five simple maize hybrids KWS (K9105VIP3, K9960VIP3, K9606VIP3, K9555VIP3 and K8774PRO3) considered as parcels and the four populations (35.000, 50.000, 65.000 and 80.000 plants he-1), considered as subplots. The maize hybrids did not influence (P>0,05) the variables. The populations of 35.000, 65.000 and 80.000 plants he-1 resulted in the highest (P<0,05) number of rows, number of grains per row and ear length. The increase in plant population influenced (P<0,05) positively the grain yields up to the population of plant density of 68.200 plants he-1 with grain yield of 9.302 kg he-1. Population densification, even increasing competition for resources negatively influencing most plant and ear characters, increases grain yield due to the greater amount of ear per area.","PeriodicalId":43096,"journal":{"name":"Revista Agrogeoambiental","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135689096","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although this activity yields significant profits, contributing to the economic and social development ofBrazil, it has been the target of concerns, mainly due to the large production of waste/effluents associated to bovine leatherprocessing. In this scenario, mineralization is important because nutrients essential for plant growth are released duringthe process of organic waste decomposition, and the dynamics of carbon release can be described by nonlinear regressionmodels. Thus, this study aimed to model the mineralization of organic carbon in the soil for 6, 12, 24, and 36 megagramsdoses per hectare (Mg ha−1) of tannery sludge using the Stanford & Smith, Cabrera, and Juma nonlinear models. Very clayeysoil samples were used: eutroferric red nitosol (NVef). Mineralized carbon was measured in 21 observations over time untilthe 105th day of incubation. Parameters were estimated using the least squares method. Adjustments were compared usingthe corrected Akaike information criterion (AICc) and the adjusted coefficient of determination (R2aj) as selection criteria. The Cabrera model had the best adjustments for doses 6, 12, and 24 Mg ha−1 and Juma for dose 36 Mg ha−1, based on the selection criteria used. Although the Stanford & Smith model is the most widely used in the literature to model soil carbon dynamics, its use was not the most appropriate for any of the doses evaluated in this study. The higher the dose of tannerysludge, the greater the amount of potentially mineralizable carbon.","PeriodicalId":43096,"journal":{"name":"Revista Agrogeoambiental","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135193352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The RPPN Águas Claras I andII are located in the Macabu River basin, a microbasin of the Carukango River. The objective of this study was to analyzeareas submitted to reforestation and agroforestry system (SAF) projects, through estimates of local biomass obtained withthe aid of secondary data from the UCs’ forest inventory. As a result, it was possible to list Ficus sp and Sparattospermaleucanthum as priority native species for forest restoration. It was concluded that it is necessary to consort the two specieswith the planting of species considered green manures, in order to increase forest biomass and stimulate the improvementof soil conditions in the degraded portion of the reserve. This strategy can accelerate the regeneration process, as indicatedby secondary soil analysis data using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS),performed in the area of implementation of the SAF.","PeriodicalId":43096,"journal":{"name":"Revista Agrogeoambiental","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135193088","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The expansion of the road networklags behind the advancements in the field. The situation is worse for country lane, which are neglected by public managerssince they do not have shoulder not proper mowing. The influence of the lack of road shoulders and the periodic mowing onwildlife roadkill remains unknown. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate if the lack of road shoulders and periodic mowinginfluences the number of roadkill. Then, the diversity of road-killed vertebrates in road LMG-878 was described, as well astheir seasonality. The roadkill of highway MG-265 were compared with road shoulder and periodic mowing, and LMG-878,which has no road shoulder and no periodic mowing. T-tests with total values were used, as well as the data relativized bythe sampling effort to verify this difference. The LMG-878 was analyzed with species accumulation curves, an estimatorof richness to verify the potential for roadkill and seasonality. The comparison with other reports of roadkill was performedusing the indices described in the literature. Thus, the highways without shoulders and without periodic mowing have higheroccurrences of roadkill. The LMG-878 had 83 cases of roadkill, which included 25 cases for amphibians, 28 for birds, 25for mammals, and five for reptiles. The diversity of wildlife killed on roads may be even greater than what was found sincethe estimates of roadkill did not reach stability. The implementation of speed reducers or fauna passages to the places withthe highest rates of roadkill is recommended.","PeriodicalId":43096,"journal":{"name":"Revista Agrogeoambiental","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135193517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This work was developed to evaluate the effects of sub-doses of the herbicide dicamba on young coffee plants, simulating a drift situation. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse, with a randomized block design of eight treatments and five replications. Each plot consisted of a 4 L pot, filled with sieved clayey soil and tanned manure (3:1 v/v), with a seedling of Catuaí IAC 144 coffee. The treatments used were: 0 (control), 0.0001, 0.001, 0.01, 0.1, 1.0, 10.0, and 100.0 g ha−1 of dicamba. Plant's percentual phytotoxicity was evaluated up to 49 days after application (DAA), SPAD index (14, 28, and 42 DAA), and dry matter biomass, at 49 DAA. In all evaluations, no differences were observed regarding phytotoxicity for dicamba sub-doses of up to 0.01 g ha−1. The highest doses of dicamba caused visual injuries of up to 31%. At 49 DAA, there were no differences regarding dry matter biomass. Leaf symptoms caused by the herbicide were observed, such as curling, wrinkling, and epinasty. No plant death was observed. Compared to other crops, coffee might be considered more tolerant to sub-doses of dicamba, with adequate recovery capacity for reduced doses of this herbicide.","PeriodicalId":43096,"journal":{"name":"Revista Agrogeoambiental","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135535800","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, this work sought to evaluate Bacillus amyloliquefaciens subsp. plantarum FZB42 on agronomic characteristics and yield of corn crop. A randomized block design was used, with six doses of B. amyloliquefaciens subsp. Plantarum FZB42 (0.0; 2.5; 5.0; 7.5; 10.0, and 12.5 mL kg-1 seeds) and four repetitions, totaling 24 experimental units. The study was conducted in the experimental area of annual crops of the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Sul de Minas Gerais (Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the South of Minas Gerais — IFSULDEMINAS), Muzambinho Campus, in the 2017/18 agricultural year. The agronomic evaluations were: plant height, upper ear insertion height, culm diameter, leaf nitrogen content, forage fresh mass, incidence of Fusarium in the ear, number of rows per ear, number of grains per row, mass of 1000 grains, and yield. The nutritional evaluations performed were: crude protein, ash, ether extract, crude fiber, fiber in acid detergent, and fiber in neutral detergent. In summary, the inoculation of B. amyloliquefaciens subsp. It is known that each object has a different thermal capacity, which results in higher or lower temperatures. The modeling of temperature as a function of objects on the land surface can allow understanding between these variables. It can corroborate temperature forecasts with the alteration of objects in an area. The objects on the Earth's surface can be computed with geoprocessing techniques that aim to detail Land Use and Occupation. This paper evaluates the Linear, Exponential, and Sinusoidal models to determine which of these models is more expressive for the study of the land surface temperature as a function of land surface objects. For this purpose, images from the Landsat 8 satellite were used to calculate the Earth's surface temperature and determine the scene's objects. To determine the scene's objects, the Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (SAVI) was used, which is one of the techniques for obtaining Land Use and Occupation. For model analysis, Akaike's Information Criterion (AIC), Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC), and Sum of Square of Residuals (SSR). According to the AIC, BIC, and SSR criteria, the sinusoidal model presented better performance when compared to the other models. However, there are large variations in SSR between classes, especially for the pasture class, which makes the models not highly explanatory.","PeriodicalId":43096,"journal":{"name":"Revista Agrogeoambiental","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2023-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41563151","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, with the commercial availability of new spray nozzles, performance studies with the new models become necessary. This study was carried out to evaluate ground deposition of spray droplets by four models of spray nozzles, at two working pressures. The experiment was conducted in Dourados/MS, in September 2020, with strip design and 4x2 factorial scheme, with five repetitions. Four spray nozzles were used (single flat fan, ST-IA 02 model; angle flat fan MUG 02; hollow cone MGA 02; and double flat fan ST-IA/D 02), working at 30 and 50 psi pressures. The distance between each nozzle was 50 cm, 60 cm above the ground. Water-sensitive paper was used and, immediately after application, the paper was scanned using the DropScan® tool. Subsequently, the number of droplets, coverage, amplitude, dispersion,      Volume Median Diameter (VMD), Number Median Diameter (NMD), DV09, and DV01 were evaluated. The hollow cone spray nozzle provided a higher number of droplets and greater coverage compared to the other nozzles for the studied weather conditions.","PeriodicalId":43096,"journal":{"name":"Revista Agrogeoambiental","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2023-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42300005","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At 180 days, the plant height, stem diameter of the seedlings, leaf area index of the first fully expanded pair of leaves, root length and number of leaf pairs were evaluated, as well as dry and fresh root and shoot. It was concluded that the 35% shading mesh was the one that best favored the IVE of coffee seedlings. There was no significant difference between the shading grids and between the cultivars in relation to the percentage of seedling emergence and the initial development of seedlings for any of the characteristics evaluated. This study aimed to evaluate how vaginal specula and artificial insemination technicians affected the fertility rates of timed artificially inseminated Serrana Transmontano goats (which are indigenous to Portugal). For this, 58 adult nanny-goats aged between three and nine years were used. They were reproductively controlled by a short progestogen treatment (FGA) (seven days) with equine chorionic gonadotropin (eCG). Timed cervical AI (43 hours after the end of the hormonal treatment) was performed with chilled semen. Nanny-goats were inseminated by two artificial insemination technicians (A vs. B) alternating two vaginal specula (Minitub vs. “Reyes”). Pregnancy was diagnosed by ultrasound 41 days later. About 98% of nanny-goats responded to our treatment with FGA and eCG. In total, 82.8% of nanny-goats were pregnant 41 days after AI. Neither vaginal specula (Minitub: 81.2% vs. “Reyes”: 84.6%) nor artificial insemination technicians (A: 82.8% vs. B: 82.8%) affected fertility rates. Thus, we conclude that neither the vaginal specula used in this research nor the artificial insemination technicians affected Serrana goat pregnancy rates.","PeriodicalId":43096,"journal":{"name":"Revista Agrogeoambiental","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2023-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47934134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
