This approach enables to jointly treat and compare the different components of losses such as reactive current, time-variance, asymmetry and harmonic currents, thus making it possible to evaluate the effect of different loss-reduction investments. Further a stochastic loss computation method is introduced, and compared to the previously shown method. Technical criteria, environmental criteria, economical criteria as well as reliability parameters are used to evaluate the impact of the planned transmission line alternatives. For the reliability evaluation a minimal cut-set-algorithm has been implemented, tested and validated with the NEPLANreg reliability tool. The resulting Multi-Criteria Decision Making problem (MCDM), which is solved by a genetic algorithm (GA) in this paper, is to build a reliable transmission grid with low environmental impact on the public sector, minimum on unavailability and with minimal life-time-costs. The region is very important for the Turkish Economy both in terms of production and consumption capacities. Failure occurred in the Marmara Region due to damage caused by the earthquake to the substations and power transmission lines located in the hardest-hit areas that affected the Turkish Power System as well a blackout was experienced throughout the country except those isolated fed areas. In this paper, analysis of disturbances on Turkish power system is simulated by MATLAB after the Marmara Earthquake. Measurements are taken from a simple system that takes place at Turkish National Power System. Matlab Simpower Toolbox is used for the analysis. Dynamic analysis of the system studied for switching operations. Effects of load acception and reduction are studied as switching operations. Constant impedance load model is used for the simulations. At the case study, added loads have different harmonic components for analyzing effects of harmonics to the system. Unfortunately, the receivable data is suitable only for system monitoring and control and is not applicable for detailed and complete investigation of fast system processes. Therefore, to enhance power system reliability in real time, more advanced technology is needed. The solution is WAMS (wide area monitoring system) system that uses PMU (phasor measurement unit) technology to collect information about the system at very high sampling rate. This article gives technical - economical analysis of amount of reserve supply in middle voltage distribution network. In this article as supply centers are considered power supply substations (110/20-10-6 kV) middle voltage busbars, which until recently were considered as reliable enough point of power supply.
