Unfortunately, the receivable data is suitable only for system monitoring and control and is not applicable for detailed and complete investigation of fast system processes. Therefore, to enhance power system reliability in real time, more advanced technology is needed. The solution is WAMS (wide area monitoring system) system that uses PMU (phasor measurement unit) technology to collect information about the system at very high sampling rate. Integration of wide area monitoring technology and enhancement of power system reliability in Baltic power system
