Due to their numerous benefits, five-level inverters are becoming more attractive. They generate high quality of the output voltage, offer a reduction in harmonic distortion and they make the system more efficient. The cascaded H-Bridge inverter is chosen in the indirect vector because it needs fewer number of components compared to other topologies of multilevel inverter. Therefore, less cost and complexity. The implementation of space vector control for this five-level inverter is used to improve the system and to compensate the distortion of harmonics. Morever, it can be implemented on any digital signal processor. The simulation results of this proposed system is realized with Matlab/Simulink. The results prove the excellent performance of the proposed system. They show a good response with a minimum of total harmonic distortion.","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124558188","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to compensate this effect, this paper develops an auto-calibration method for the uniform linear array (ULA) based on Root-MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm. The proposed method can estimate the DoAs of the received signal and mutual coupling coefficients using the subspace principle without using any calibration source. Moreover, it can reduce computational complexity due to analytically estimating DoA without any spectrum search. In this paper, Monte-Carlo simulation is used to elucidate the errors in DoA and coupling parameter estimation. Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRB) is also presented to support the estimation results. Simulation results illustrate that the proposed Friedlander & Weiss (F&W) Root-MUSIC method efficiently estimates the DoA and mutual coupling coefficients, and also the performance of F&W Root-MUSIC is better than F&W MUSIC algorithm's.","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117285232","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A probabilistic load flow (PLF) integrated using a five-point estimation method was used to model the wind power uncertainties by discretizing wind power distribution into five discrete points. Consolidating the PLF using a multi-objective non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II), the location and size of an SVC can be optimally allocated considering wind power uncertainties. This method aims to minimise system operation cost, power loss reduction, and voltage profile enhancement. To demonstrate the viability of the applied method, we validated it using the IEEE 30 bus system. Simulation outcomes demonstrate the viability of the applied method in minimizing different objective functions under the unpredictable nature of wind power.","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114937026","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The restoration strategy of repair crew is dispatched in a deterministic way and the coordinated operation is performed with mobile power sources for picking up lost loads as soon as possible. Also, the transportation system constraints are integrated into the restoration tools for obtaining more realistic results while directing mobile power sources from staging locations to the damaged areas. The C-band HEMT devices with channel length 400 nm are fabricated using standard nanofabrication techniques. The devices are characterized for DC and RF characteristics. The RF power measurements are carried out using manual load pull set-up. The devices show a unity current gain frequency of 25 GHz and power up to 4.9 W/mm for the desired band. These devices have been used to design a broad C-band 3.50 to 5.75 GHz power amplifier in Keysight Advanced Design Simulation (ADS). The design involves broadband matching using extended L-C network for both inputs and outputs. To increase the output power and compensate for the loss due to non-ideal matching network and passives, we have used a power splitter and power combiner at the input and output, respectively. The PA shows an output power of>8W/mm for the aforementioned band with a gain >6 dB at 28 V through a single stage active devices. The same methodology can be extended for higher power and better gain with multiple stages.","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128093183","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mathematical models of reforming reactors of a catalytic reforming unit of the LG-35-11 / 300–95 type of the Atyrau oil refinery have been built. Since this technological unit is characterized by a deficit of quantitative information and the vagueness of some of the available information, the ideas of the system analysis methodology were used in the work, which allows the systematic use of information of various nature in a complex. Mathematical models of reforming reactors are developed on the basis of the systematic use of statistical information based on experimental statistical methods and fuzzy information based on expert assessment methods. As a result, a system of hybrid-type models was built, i.e. the models are built on the basis of experimental-statistical and fuzzy information. In this case, the models describing the dependence of the volume of production, i.e. produced gasoline and technical hydrogen from the input, operating parameters are obtained in the form of statistical models in the form of regression equations of multiple regression. And fuzzy models that assess the quality indicators of gasoline are built in the form of fuzzy multiple regression equations with fuzzy parameters. The processes of obtaining, formalizing, processing and using fuzzy information in developing a model are based on the methods of expert assessments and theories of fuzzy sets. To determine the structures of the developed models, the idea of the method of sequential inclusion of regressors was used. And for parametric identification, i.e. to determine the values of the regression coefficients, a modified least squares method was applied. In order to identify fuzzy parameters, first on the basis of level sets α=0.5; 0.75; 1, the fuzzy regression equation is transformed into an equivalent system of conventional regression equations for various α. Then the regression coefficients of the obtained regression equations for each level are identified by the usual method of parametric identification. Then, on the basis of the corresponding formulas of the fuzzy set theories, all the coefficients of the level α are combined, which makes it possible to switch to computer modeling.","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133453261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Buck converter with cascade controller structure is a frequently used topology in ICCP systems to prevent buried steel pipelines from corrosion. Changes in the environment in which the pipe is embedded force the converter to operate at wide load and voltage ranges. However, in average current mode controllers, the gain of the current loop varies significantly with the load. At light loads, the inner current loop slows down dramatically and may stay behind the outer voltage loop. In order to solve these issues and to maintain the regulation of the pipeline voltage and the average load current, this paper presents a simple cascade PI controller whose coefficients are adapted to the changing load. The small signal analysis of the Buck converter in both continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) is performed and variables determining the transfer characteristics are examined. For the proposed controller, a design criteria based on circuit parameters have been established. With the parameters obtained by the proposed method, a sample cascade controller is designed and compared with classical PI controller in simulation. Also, a digitally controlled 100-W converter prototype is built to validate the performance.","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130905041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, a direct search optimization method was developed to adjust each resistance of lumped-parameter model of cerebral blood circulation for different physiological conditions. The developed method was tested by using a cardiovascular system model for both healthy and heart failure conditions. The mean blood flow rates of internal carotid and vertebral arteries supplying blood to the cerebral blood circulation were 271 mL/min and 106 mL/min over a cardiac cycle, respectively. In the case of heart failure, the mean blood flow rates of internal carotid arteries and vertebral arteries decreased to 190 mL/min and 74 mL/min over a cardiac cycle, respectively.
