The scenarios are conducted in intra orbit (LEO-LEO and GEO-GEO) and inter orbit (LEO-GEO). TLE (Two Line Element) data of the real satellites are used as initial values to simulate the movements of the satellites. Satellite orbits and orbital perturbations are approximated by finding the state vectors in geocentric equatorial frame using Gauss variational equations for the satellites. Gaussian channel model is used to simulate the channel conditions, since communications links in space applications generally do not suffer from multipath. Based on the simulations, it is observed that pointing requirements affects the Bit Error Rate (BER) crucially. Results of the simulations show that inter-orbit communication link suffers most from the pointing errors. Calculations are done in MATLAB and Simulink.","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127950768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we introduce the 8CoS model that consists of eight traffic classes to improve the QoS. The 8CoS model is intended to accommodate as many classes of traffic with unique CoS requirements as possible. Both the integrated and differentiated methods are used in experiments. The differentiated method makes sure that the QoS of the network is based on the service of each class. Functions such as classifiers, policers, queues, and schedulers are considered to evaluate the proposed 8CoS. Simulation results suggest that the throughput due to the proposed 8CoS model increases about 99% when compared with that of a 5CoS model. Also, the delay and packet loss due to the 8CoS model decrease by 40% and 25%, respectively, when compared with those of the 5CoS model. Therefore, the proposed 8CoS model shows promise to replace the existing 5CoS model.","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128151688","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We obtain transfer function satisfied by DC motor. Drawback of the literature Fuzzy Logic Control membership functions is not to regulate the voltage values directly in dynamic systems and so the performance of the microcontroller is too low. That is the reason why we use some MATLAB FUNCTIONS with recurrent algorithms. RFLC Technique appears to have an angular speed stabilizer feature on the DC motor after the first two seconds with much less oscillation under the entire load change, but FLC values are discrete. In the ERFLC Technique, the angular speed of a DC motor under nonlinear loads is achieved by reaching the reference angular speed value with much less oscillation when the total load changes completely and clearer results are obtained. Thus, RFLC and ERFLC Techniques can be used for precise positioning system, global trajectory planning system of an electrical autonomous vehicles. In decision making system of an electrical autonomous vehicles, RFLC and ERFLC can be used in the anti-lock braking system to downhill speed control in level three and as an electronic stability control in the level four with foggy airs such that the visibility is extremely low and provide safe driving on slippery and icy surfaces.","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"429 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132136609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) and Open Computing Language (OpenCL) are two popular APIs that allow General Purpose Graphics Processing Unit (GPGPU, GPU for short) to accelerate processing in applications where they are supported. This paper presents a comparative study of OpenCL and CUDA and their impact on parallel and distributed computing. Mandelbrot set (represents complex numbers) generation, Marching Squares algorithm (represents embarrassingly parallelism), and Bitonic Sorting algorithm (represents distributed computing) are implemented using OpenCL (version 2.x) and CUDA (version 9.x) and run on a Linux-based High Performance Computing (HPC) system. The HPC system uses an Intel i7-9700k processor and an Nvidia GTX 1070 GPU card. Experimental results from 25 different tests using the Mandelbrot Set generation, the Marching Squares algorithm, and the Bitonic Sorting algorithm are analyzed. According to the experimental results, CUDA performs better than OpenCL (up to 7.34x speedup). However, in most cases, OpenCL performs at an acceptable rate (CUDA speedup is less than 2x).","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126318798","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper the analysis is conducted on a public dataset from Kaggle, which contains 4 years of electrical consumption, generation, pricing, and weather data for Spain. Different visualization techniques have been applied to estimate the pattern through which the sustainable demand and supply model can be generated for the country. The analysis showed that for the past 4-years the peak energy consuming hours in Spain are from 15:00 to 20:00 whereas from 00:00 to 05:00 in the morning, the energy consumption is minimal. Moreover, the results showed that in February energy consumption is at its peak whereas the minimum energy is consumed during the month of September. Such analysis could be used by governments to implement sustainable energy policy and adjust electricity storage and production based on statistics-driver prognosis.","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124976338","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This sterilization of water destroys bacteria and microorganisms in the water because their DNA absorbs UV light, so they can no longer reproduce. Absorption in DNA has a peak at 254nm. For sterilization to be fast and efficient, a power LED is needed, but there are no LEDs available on the market that are accessible at this wavelength. For this reason, this application uses a power LED of 365nm, and one of 420nm, so we can compare their power to clean the water of bacteria. The water samples resulting from the tests performed were analyzed at a specialized laboratory. Thus, the final measurements showed that this type of setup can be used as water sterilizer. The 365nm LED achieved an efficiency of 15.4%, while the 420nm LED achieved an efficiency of 10.5%. This shows that the absorption of UV light is higher at shorter wavelengths. The efficiencies of the LEDs were calculated after exposing the water probes to the UV light for 5 minutes.","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129861807","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recommender systems (RS) are useful in guiding the user to reach his/her favorite option among a huge volume of possible choices, so this process is specific to that user. Collaborative Filtering (CF) recommender system is one of the most popular approaches that exploits information about the past behavior or the opinions of an existing user community for predicting which items the current user of the system will most probably like or dislike. This paper improves Item-based collaborative filtering recommender system by finding similar items based on their content. Our main objectives are to solve the item cold start problem and to improve the quality of user's recommended list, or in other words, to improve the items ranking. To achieve these goals, the latent semantic features of the items have been first extracted using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and, then the semantic similarity between the items has been calculated and finally used in the numerical prediction, indicating to what degree the current user will like or be interested in a certain item. Our experiments on the Jester Dataset3 and Jester Dataset4 show that the proposed method has not only been effective in solving the above two problems but has also improved the ratings prediction accuracy and the recommendation quality.","PeriodicalId":429645,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126420709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
