The 8CoS model is intended to accommodate as many classes of traffic with unique CoS requirements as possible. Both the integrated and differentiated methods are used in experiments. The differentiated method makes sure that the QoS of the network is based on the service of each class. Functions such as classifiers, policers, queues, and schedulers are considered to evaluate the proposed 8CoS. Simulation results suggest that the throughput due to the proposed 8CoS model increases about 99% when compared with that of a 5CoS model. Also, the delay and packet loss due to the 8CoS model decrease by 40% and 25%, respectively, when compared with those of the 5CoS model.
