The disruption of physical factors such as ventilation, lighting, or thermal may constitute to reduce the productivity and efficiency among users. Thus, Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) is a significant tool to indicate the level of satisfaction and occupants’ comfort in ensuring the current issues mainly related to physical aspects such as indoor environmental quality, space utilization, energy efficiency, and so forth. Therefore, the primary purpose of this study is to assess the satisfaction level of school building users in Malaysia, including students, teachers, and staff to improve the quality of the indoor environment in a school building as the leading learning space for the future generation. The interview was conducted with 12 participants in determining the satisfaction level of building performance assessment on school buildings. Next, the survey instrument was distributed to 224 respondents in 7 different schools, to evaluate the awareness level of POE in current practice and to analyse the physical criteria to conduct the evaluation standards on school buildings in Malaysia. This study concludes that POE is the most accurate approach to estimate the quality of building performance, especially for school buildings. Also, it should be emphasized as a continuous routine of physical environment evaluation or a periodic assessment of school buildings.","PeriodicalId":429639,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technology and Operations Management","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123316387","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Drawing on the theoretical framework of social exchange theory, this study presents a model to examine the interconnections between turnover intentions, organizational commitment, and perceived task overload among employees in the automotive sector of Malaysia. Data was collected from 158 automotive industry professionals who voluntarily participated in the study. The proposed hypotheses were validated using structural equation modeling (SEM) via SmartPLS 4.0. The findings provide empirical support for the hypothesis that employees' perceptions of task overload directly influence their level of commitment to their respective organizations. Moreover, their perceived work overload, combined with organizational commitment and incentives, significantly impacts their turnover intentions, influencing their decision to leave their current positions. Surprisingly, organizational commitment was found to have no significant direct effect on turnover intention. This novel research offers a comprehensive model to manage turnover intention among automotive industry employees in Malaysia, utilizing organizational commitment as a mediating factor. The level of dedication demonstrated by employees towards their organizations plays a vital role in determining whether they will remain with the organization, even when they perceive their skills to be declining. These findings hold implications for both research and clinical practice, offering valuable insights for improving workforce readiness amidst the challenges posed by the industrial revolution 4.0.","PeriodicalId":429639,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technology and Operations Management","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116160200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The issues in the GSCLM for the halal food industry are mainly costs, quality, non-segregation, and cross-contamination of halal-haram goods in supply chain processes. Therefore, the paper reveals the knowledge of the key factors for GSCLM in the context of the halal food industry. The research is hypothetically deducted from a transactional cost economic (TCE) and used a quantitative approach. A survey questionnaire was distributed to the halal food industry managers across the country. The key findings from PLS-SEM analysis indicated that technology, strategy, and environment affected the GSCLM through knowledge management. Nevertheless, technology had a small effect on GSCLM. The limitations of the research as it was conducted in the halal food industry, hence the generalizability of our findings is contingent on the validation of the findings with the non-specific halal certification industry. Practical implications are realized in which the industry could enhance the knowledge management in GSCLM effectively. Government should also support the industry with new policies and regulations that could fulfill the halal market demand. Future research may apply other theories to be tested in the context of GSCLM in other non-specific halal certification industries. The paper provides a new model of GSCLM in the halal food industry. Specifically, it applies TCE in GSCLM which demonstrates how knowledge management can affect the GSCLM performance.","PeriodicalId":429639,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technology and Operations Management","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124268629","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Net Force(Fnet) of the water going inside the baskets somewhat affects the fish caught by the Manobos as they use this as the main livelihood in their respective communities. More fishes are caught as well. Further, the geometric designs of the weaving patterns of the fish scooping baskets are also directly connected to the main variables of the Bernoulli’s Principles.
