Therefor, the interest signal needs to be enhanced or selected before identifying. In this paper, the signal is first enhanced by the method of beamforming, and then the acoustic signal feature is extracted and sent to softmax for recognition. The effectiveness of the method is verified by experiments.","PeriodicalId":428997,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Workshop on Electromagnetics: Applications and Student Innovation Competition (iWEM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129402346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper builds on the CTPN text area location, and uses the end-to-end identification network-CRNN to identify the concave-convex font. When training the data set, it is preprocessed by the convolution network to generate the corresponding feature model. When identifying, the test picture is processed by the same convolutional network as in the training, and the extracted picture features are compared with the picture features that generated during training, then the highest similarity is determined as the recognized number. The card number recognition accuracy of the concave-convex font can reach 92.33% when the card number is positioned accurately.","PeriodicalId":428997,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Workshop on Electromagnetics: Applications and Student Innovation Competition (iWEM)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130068803","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This technique involves the near-to-far field transformation algorithm. The fast development of 5G wireless communication techniques with more applications of the massive wide-band antennas, demands more efficient spherical nearfield measurement systems. Therefore, the speed of the near-to-far field transformation deserves much more attention than before. This paper introduces the GPU-acceleration techniques to the transformation algorithm and develops highly efficient and vectorized Matlab codes. It can accurately treat the electrically large problems (larger than 500 wavelength). Current PC with medium CPU and GPU can treat a 500-wavelength antenna in 90 seconds, which exceeds the claimed speed of the IEEE standard algorithm SNIFT running on a single PC. This paper proves the efficiency of the GPU-acceleration technique in the spherical near-to-far field transformation algorithm.","PeriodicalId":428997,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Workshop on Electromagnetics: Applications and Student Innovation Competition (iWEM)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133093786","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To obtain a compact size and wide-beamwidth characteristics, a 3D printed folded annular electrical dipole is designed. Furthermore, a pair of orthogonal -shape strips excited by a 90°-phase difference are arranged in the gaps of vertical plates to acquire the dual-circular polarization (CP) feature. The feeding network that is composed of a modified 3dB-hybrid coupler is printed below the ground to provide wide band and 90°-phase difference traits. Simulated results show that a wide bandwidth of 3.3 GHz-5.0 GHz (41%) with stable gain of approximately 6 dBi can be achieved. Besides, a wide beamwidth of 110° in dual CP directions as well as a low-profile of 0.18 $lambda_{0}$ can also be obtained.","PeriodicalId":428997,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Workshop on Electromagnetics: Applications and Student Innovation Competition (iWEM)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123888078","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, AR model is established for acceleration response signal, and the model coefficients are extracted. Secondly, the difference of AR model coefficients under damaged and undamaged conditions is selected as the damage feature. Finally, PSO-SVM is used to distinguish the damage location of a structure. The validity and noise resistance of the method are verified by numerical simulation and analysis results of a five-floor steel offshore platform.","PeriodicalId":428997,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Workshop on Electromagnetics: Applications and Student Innovation Competition (iWEM)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128532566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two linearly-polarized (LP) patch sensors versus a circularly-polarized (CP) patch sensor with identical configurations are demonstrated. The strain occurred in real structures is commonly uncertain, the usefulness of LP-patch sensor becomes limited. Like the conventional strain gauges, it only be used if the strain direction is known beforehand. Therefore, a nearly-square CP-patch sensor for multi-directional strain monitoring is proposed here. In order to obtain high sensitivity, three novel strain sensing methods are proposed for strain monitoring. Multi-directional strain sensing is achieved by a proof-of-concept prototype. The simulated results verified by experimental results show that high sensitivities of these three methods were achieved.","PeriodicalId":428997,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Workshop on Electromagnetics: Applications and Student Innovation Competition (iWEM)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128032429","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
