The purpose of the article is to propose a practically proven model of distance learning that will be useful in training the specialists of the future. Appropriate methods were used to write the article. The most important among them were the content analysis of theoretical and empirical materials, the method of generalization, and comparison. As a result of referring to the theoretical framework, a total of 27 positions of modern and relevant scientific literature were analyzed, which made it possible to provide the necessary theoretical basis for the study. The results analyze the impact of the proposed distance learning model on the educational process. The strengths and vulnerabilities of the proposed model are also identified based on empirical material. The results obtained are compared with the general trends in the organization of distance learning in the world. The conclusions note that the findings confirmed several statements about the prospects for using distance education even after the COVID-19 pandemic: the overall effectiveness of distance learning and the positive impact on students' academic achievement. The use of this learning model has led to an increase in digital competence, stimulation of students' cognitive activity, desire for independent learning, and use of digital resources.","PeriodicalId":427861,"journal":{"name":"Futurity Education","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121273779","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the purpose of the article is to analyze these trends in order to find the applicable solutions in the field and to implement them as appropriate mechanisms for improvement of scientific and educational activities. To analyze modern pedagogy and psychology and their trends, to study the practices of implementation of global solutions we used qualitative (review of scientific and methodical literature, scientific description, interviewing, holistic analysis, description, synthesis of research results and deduction) and quantitative approaches to research (analysis of statistical data and structural analysis). The research revealed that a great number of articles concern the problems of impact of globalization phenomenon upon the educational process and social sciences paying attention towards challenges in modern pedagogy and psychology. The current literature review is based upon the analysis of 38 recent works published between 2018-2023 in internationally indexed journals. The empirical research was conducted among 36 scientific and educational professionals in Ukrainian educational institutions in the first semester of 2022-2023 academic year. The findings showed that the trends in modern pedagogy and psychology exist in general and specific pattens where general trends are typical for both fields and influence upon their transformations equally but specific trends include pattens that characterize one of these sciences and consequently create peculiar approaches. On the basis of the results of the survey, there are specific groups of solutions that can be implemented in three levels: management, organizational, and individual. The analysis of respondents’ answers and the quantitative data proved that implementation of solutions may lead to the enhancement of psychological and pedagogical science and improve the efficiency of educational process within the Ukrainian institutions.","PeriodicalId":427861,"journal":{"name":"Futurity Education","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127937293","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of the article is to analyze the aspects of adaptation of the educational process of higher education to the global challenges of the XXI century through the prism of future transformations. The paper uses general scientific (analysis, synthesis, deduction and induction) and specialized (forecasting, abstraction) methods of scientific work. The principles of objectivity, scientificity, and systematicity were fundamental. Given the theoretical nature of the study, 41 items of the latest relevant literature of 2015-2023 were processed, which highlight the main aspects of the development of modern educational processes and the prospects for these vectors in the future. The results trace the aspects of adaptation of higher education to the requirements of the modern labor market. The need for structural changes in the university education of the future is emphasized. Some changes in the field of humanities education are also traced, which will change towards multidisciplinarity and integration with digital technologies. The conclusions state that rapid digital and technological transformations complicate the training of specialists, but educational institutions in Europe and the United States are actively working to respond to these challenges, including the introduction of lifelong learning and an emphasis on digital technologies, programming, and robotics. It is also argued that humanities education is also undergoing changes, including additional emphasis on a comprehensive understanding of cultural processes and global challenges, the development of critical thinking, digital and technological skills, intercultural competence, ethical and moral values, creativity and innovation, and the ability to communicate effectively and work in a group. The development of soft skills against this background is one of the most important processes.","PeriodicalId":427861,"journal":{"name":"Futurity Education","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126840446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Students reported their self-concept, interest, and values in mathematics before and after learning mathematics on an online intelligent tutoring system for one academic year over the autumn and spring semesters. Students’ experiences of engaged concentration, confusion, frustration, and boredom were detected using log files from the system. The participants included over 8,000 2nd- to 8th-grade students in the United States who used an intelligent tutoring system, Reasoning Mind, during the academic year of 2017-2018. Path analyses with mediating effects indicate that students initially perceiving high self-concept are less frustrated in both autumn and spring. Students interested in mathematics experience initial disengagement and later confusion in online mathematical problem-solving. This result calls for cross-platform support from teachers and system designs, especially for students interested in traditional mathematical teaching and learning. For theory, this study posits the Motivation-Affect Regulation (MAR) model, highlighting the mediating effects of motivation effect. Results find that the earlier self-concept can be mediated by fewer frustrations in online learning and lead to later self-concept. Interest triggers early disengagement and late confusion during online learning. Value is not mediated by affect. In methodology, structural equation modelling with mediating models offers opportunities to investigate more complex relationships when common measures are collected across time. Both offline pedagogical designs and online learning system designs need to consider the gaps between different formats of learning. Students with a high interest in learning mathematics in real classrooms may fail to adjust themselves easily to online mathematical problem-solving and experience disengagement in the early stages (one semester) and confusion in the stages (after one semester).","PeriodicalId":427861,"journal":{"name":"Futurity Education","volume":"63 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129561622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the same time, the professional teacher of the future should take care of the adaptation of students and the fact of their diversity by changing teaching strategies and learning materials that are appropriate to the age, prior learning, cultural values, and individual needs of the educational program. The role of the teacher in the future is to ensure the formation and education of the personalities of new generations and their professional training within educational institutions, closely related to life, social and professional, moral, and civic activities. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to analyze the problems of forming the skills and personality traits of a teacher that would cause reverberations in students for many years after graduation. The work uses general scientific and special scientific research methods, adheres to the principles of objectivity, scientificity, specificity, and systematicity to argue for the normative reason, of updating the system of professional competencies in an increasingly globalized, multicultural, diverse, and complex environment marked by digital technologies and transformations. It is about the need to change the system of acquiring thorough knowledge to mobilize the professional achievements of teachers. This is the whole point of rewriting the common core of knowledge, skills, and culture envisioned by the Ukrainian education reform. Search engines have identified more than 100 articles on pedagogy. As a result of the selection and verification process, only 21 state-of-the-art sources from 2021-2022 were selected (given the novelty of the proposed scientific research). The results address the problem of professional competence development in European countries. The generalization of the characteristics of the teacher of the future in the context of the global challenges of our time is made based on the contrast of the experiences of the described countries and the general opinion of the participants in the relevant forum. Thus, the reference base of professional competencies for pedagogical and educational professions should reflect the developments in the training of teachers and pedagogical staff in the context of the new Ukrainian education system.","PeriodicalId":427861,"journal":{"name":"Futurity Education","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121818334","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its aim was to relate social network addiction to the academic performance of students at the University of Kinshasa. To this end, a social network addiction test was administered to a sample of 91 graduate students from several faculties at the University of Kinshasa. This test was coupled with a documentary technique that provided us with the students' academic performance at the end of the 2020-2021 academic year. The social network addiction test divided the sample into two groups: (1) social network addicts (23 subjects or 25.3%) and (2) social network non-addicts (68 subjects or 74.7%).\u0000\u0000In terms of academic performance, three student profiles emerged: (1) 57 students or 62.6% of subjects demonstrated average quality achievement (60-69%); (2) 30 students or 33% of subjects demonstrated low quality achievement (50-59%), (3) 4 students or 4.4% of subjects demonstrated higher quality achievement. Comparing the academic grades of subjects addicted to social networking with those of non-addicts, a statistically significant difference was found. The non-addicts performed better academically than the addicts. Thus, we can conclude that addiction to social networks negatively affects the performance of understudy students. These results can serve as a basis for raising students' awareness of the dangers of abusing social networks. They can help in any attempts to regulate the use of telephones in the academic environment. Last but not least, they can be used as a frame of reference for the University's policy on addiction prevention.","PeriodicalId":427861,"journal":{"name":"Futurity Education","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132822649","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, it needs to be analyzed in detail and resolved by policymakers in education. To reveal this significant drawback, this research aims to examine the research studies on the issue of burnout among English as foreign language teachers from primary schools to higher education that were carried out in the English language teaching context in Turkey between 2012 and 2022 through a systematic review. 19 research studies done in Turkey were obtained and the findings of the studies related to the burnout challenge of Turkish English language teachers were scrutinized. Based on the findings of the study, English teachers are the most prevalent demographic to have a variety of ailments due to burnout, which is caused by extended exposure to high levels of stress, chronic fatigue, unhappiness, and feelings of inefficacy. The unique finding of this study is that English teachers are mainly faced with challenging and stressful conditions in their daily teaching life as they are forced to adapt to changing student profiles and technological advancements as well as rising demands of society and as a result, they struggle with burnout even if they are still in their early years of teaching English. In the meanwhile, their commitment to in-service training and the support of their superiors are crucial and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is also important. Besides, a comprehensive strategy that includes regulatory modifications, encouraging work conditions, and professional development opportunities is required to address English teacher burnout in Turkish society and thus, by prioritizing teacher well-being, education policies can have a positive influence on the education sector by ensuring the availability of motivated and effective English instructors who can provide high-quality education to students and these policies could eradicate negative views and provide the respect for the teaching profession by fostering a resilient English teaching workforce while mitigating the risks of burnout.","PeriodicalId":427861,"journal":{"name":"Futurity Education","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126527889","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
