Researches confirm that new technologies offer liberating and amazing opportunities to people with disabilities, as these are not just limited to simple information management but can also operate supportively, improving the learning ability, the academic performance and functionality of the people that have special needs and those with special, educational needs. In this review there is a brief reference on some of the ICT assessment, diagnostic and intervention tools of the past decade, for children with attention and hyperactivity disorders (ADHD). It also refers to the direct connection and interaction between attention and memory capacity as well as, how, with the help of technology, we evaluate, improve memory, and thus attention. The deficit of ADHD in its executive functions and how these can be improved with the help of technology is also brought up in this review.","PeriodicalId":427062,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. One popular method that used for classifying data is Naïve Bayes Classifier. Naïve Bayes Classifier is an approach that adopts the Bayes theorem, by combining previous knowledge with new knowledge. The advantages of this method are the simple algorithm and high accuracy. In this study, it will show the ability of Naïve Bayes Classifier to classify the quality of a journal commonly called Quartile. This study use a dataset of 1491 instances. As wireless technology is very much easier to implement rather than wired, day by day its application is increasing. Through the continuous development of wireless communication technology it is now highly used in wireless equipment controlling. That is we can control our electronics and electrical equipments from a certain distant part. In this paper a multipurpose radio controlled car is designed with nRF24L01 wireless transceiver module, Arduino Uno R3 and DC motors to monitor risky areas. This metric will be integrate in the selection process of MPRs to improve QoS in Manets networks. The unpredictable mobility and the large quantity of generated traffic by each node interface make communication in network increasingly difficult to manage. Thus, routing protocols need to be adapted to such conditions. In order to make OLSR protocol more robust, piercing and more adaptable to the conditions dictated by the environment of each node, this work proposes a polymorphic metric that changes depending on the network behavior. This metric aims to make the OLSR protocol best suited to each zone. The second objective of this article is to know the behavior of the new OLSR protocol version (SPEED OLSR) in environments with high mobility (pause time = 0).To know the effectivity of the speed of the parameters have several criteria. Many simulations would be undergone by NS2 to test and prove the validity of this new metric in environments with high mobility and quantity of traffic","PeriodicalId":427062,"journal":{"name":"Int. Muhumuza, Rodgers Mutyebere, Charles Karemera","doi":"10.3991/ijes.v7i2.10847","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3991/ijes.v7i2.10847","url":null,"abstract":"Although audio media has been presented by previous research as a suitable medium for conveying agricultural information, there is limited research in assessing its effectiveness in assisting farmers’ gain agricultural knowledge. This study thus undertook to carry out that investigation by involving 1000 smallholder banana farmers in the study which involved a baseline survey, an intervention, and an end line survey. The preliminary survey results showed that 456 farmers had relevant knowledge of farming practices and were removed from the study. However, 541 farmers were lacking the required knowledge regarding proper banana farming practices. This group was assigned to an intervention of radio broadcasts for one month. All broadcasted content was recorded on CDs and circulated to the participants for continued revision. This was followed by the end line survey and the two datasets were compared to establish the change in knowledge levels of the farmers. The tests of variances before the intervention and after the intervention indicated that the two groups being compared are assumed to be approximately equal (p >0.05). Results showed a significant difference in the mean knowledge scores before and after the intervention. Furthermore, independent t-test results reveal a statistically significant difference in the pre- and post-knowledge tests of farmers. In addition, results from Pearson Correlations show that farmers’ characteristics such as age, gender, and level of education do not influence the uptake of knowledge on farming practices by farmers. However, results reveal a statistically significant association between the source of information (Radio Broadcast & audio CDs) and knowledge gain regarding most banana farming practices by farmers. This study provides further evidence that audio media in the form of radio broadcasts and audio CDs is a vital source for agricultural information to the rural farmers. Moreover, it can be concluded that farmers’ characteristics do not influence knowledge gain for banana farming practices when audio media is used as a medium of information dissemination. And thus, audio media remains a vital source of information for resource-poor farmers and can greatly enhance their agricultural knowledge when audio media is used as an intervention.","PeriodicalId":427062,"journal":{"name":"Int. The purpose of this study was there-fore to investigate the impact of technology as an educational tool for tourism in-formation. Based on content analysis a total of 22 studies on technology and tourism published over a 12 year period from 2006 and 2018 were examined, systematically presented and discussed. The presented study was qualitative in nature. It highlighted the extent to which travellers have embraced technology for tourism information searches and sources. Recurring trends based on review of literature were identified. Two main themes were observed, first, being technolo-gy in tourism education and second, being the use of user-generated content in tourism. In conclusion it can be established that learning about travel and tourism through social media was not only for travellers who depend on tourism information but also tourism companies who depend on traveller re-views and marketing promotions for their facilities.","PeriodicalId":427062,"journal":{"name":"Int. Climate change is one of the most characteristic occurrences of the modern world, if not the most. It is a byproduct of the greenhouse effect, which is a natural phenomenon necessary for sustaining life on the planet. However, human activities have heavily contributed to the rise of an unbalanced amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, causing the anthropogenic aspect of climate change. Despite the doubts on the human influence on climate change, there is indisputable scientific proof to verify it. The consequences of climate change appear to be very severe, both for the environment and humans themselves, while they are expected to escalate in the future. It is widely known that the industrial revolution is the landmark of anthropogenic climate change. But despite the industry’s influence being common knowledge, what are the everyday actions of each individual or household that are key contributors to the phenomenon? Transportation is one of the most harmful everyday activities, especially aviation due to emissions from the combustion of fossil fuels used to power the vehicles. Surprisingly, the food industry is also a sector very high in emissions, mostly due to emissions from livestock production. Another cause is deforestation stemming from multiple factors, a very important one being paper production. While trees absorb carbon dioxide, when cut, they emit it back into the atmosphere, resulting in further emissions. Especially damaging is water overuse, due to the disruption of the water cycle. Furthermore, the burning of fossil fuels for general use (e.g. heating) and specifically for electricity is a big contributor in greenhouse emissions. Certain gardening activities can also contribute in the emissions. Lastly, waste is very damaging to the atmosphere. The decomposition of waste is responsible for emitting significant quantities of CO2 and methane. The need to combat climate change is very pressuring. While individual changes in lifestyle are very vital, bigger changes need to be implemented in order to effectively mitigate climate change.","PeriodicalId":427062,"journal":{"name":"Int. J.
