This study used the methods of dialectology, isoglosses, and dialectometry to establish language boundaries and document variants of agricultural terms in three widely spoken languages in the Karawang Regency in West Java: Sundanese, Javanese, and Betawi Malay. The study addressed the challenge faced by agricultural advisors in the field of the communication gap between advisors and farmers. The advisors use Indonesian variants of agricultural terms, but farmers are familiar with terms in one of the other languages spoken in the area. This study detailed what languages are used in each village and illustrates a wealth of information on multiple variants in various languages for any particular agricultural term in Indonesian. Analysis of composite maps of respondents’ perceptions using a GIS mapping program (ArcGIS) reveals that both age and gender have an effect on respondents’ perceptions of linguistic landscape. Specifically, men tend to distinguish more linguistic variation by identifying more dialect areas than women do. As for age differences, middle-aged respondents identified more dialect areas with higher agreement levels than both younger and older respondents. The data were collected using the observational and conversational method. Identity and dialectometry method was used to analyse the data. The results showed that Javanese in Dharmasraya Regency can be divided into four dialects, they are: Tebing Tinggi, Koto Laweh, Kurnia Koto Salak and Sitiung dialect. The Sitiung dialect can be divided into two subdialects, namely Sitiung and Pulau Mainan subdialect. These differences of dialects are caused by geographical factor, the distance between the points of observation, transportation, and communication. Javanese used in the daily conversation is different from Javanese used in the homeland or in Java Island, which does not have language level as known as unggah-ungguh . An initial list of variants of this phrase was obtained from the ALPI . These variants were then searched for in a number of corpora ( COSER , CORPES XXI , Corpus del Español and Google). The study showed that many of the variants from the ALPI list were not present in any of the corpora. Others are just found only in lexicographic repertoires and in scientific and academic works. A third group of phraseological units was found to appear only in non-specialized texts. In addition, only a minimal part of the expressions appears in the Diccionario de la lengua española ( DLE ) by the RAE. The research design adopted was the quantitative content analysis with specific reference to descriptive design. Data were derived from 300 quiz scripts of SDA College of Education students who did English language studies in the 2015/2016 academic year (1 st -3 rd year). Chi-square analysis was used to find out whether or not there were gender differences in the use of noun phrases in sentence construction and whether they were more or less significant and meaningful. The findings revealed that the female students used more complex noun phrases but they had single modifiers. By analyzing the age difference of 140 years and the regional difference of 27 survey points, we will examine historical change and geographical spread over the 250 years since the compilation of a dialect glossary. First, we present the distribution of eight representative words according to the traditional method of linguistic geography. After that, we present comprehensive maps and graphs of the entire 406 words in order to grasp the general pattern of regional and age differences. Furthermore, multivariate analysis (MCA) is applied and the meanings of the axes produced by it are analyzed for the dimension of person (respondent) and the dimension of word (vocabulary). In the dimension of person, the magnitude of the age difference was confirmed in the data as a whole. Before WWII there was a large regional difference, but now the age difference has become larger. It was possible to demonstrate the double concentric distribution, that is, a regional concentric distribution under the national concentric distribution. In the dimension of word, the process of standardization and the regression of antiquated forms were confirmed.
