A documentary analysis was performed, exploring the categories of domain analysis and ethnographic method.It was obtained as a result: the analysis of the points of contact between domain analysis and the ethnographic method from an epistemological, methodological and procedural terms. {"title":"Experiencias de alfabetización informativa en ambientes virtuales de aprendizaje","authors":"P. Suggest the use of virtual learning environments as an Information Literacy (IL) alternative. Method. Analysis of the main elements of web sites. To achieve this purpose the article includes the relationship between IL and the learning virtual environment (by defining both phrases); phases to create virtual IL programs; processes to elaborate didactic media; the applications that may support this plan; and the description of eleven examples of learning virtual environments IL experiences from four countries (Mexico, United States of America, Spain and United Kingdom) these examples fulfill the conditions expressed. Results. We obtained four comparative tables examining five elements of each experience: objectives; target community; institution; country; and platform used. Conclusions. {"title":"Transparência das informações das universidades federais: estudo dos relatórios de gestão à luz dos princípios de governança","authors":"Luzia Zorzal, Georgete Medleg Rodrigues","doi":"10.5195/BIBLIOS.2015.253","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5195/BIBLIOS.2015.253","url":null,"abstract":"This article is based on a doctoral research in Information Science which examines to what extent Management Reports of Federal Universities meet the governance principles established for the public sector, according to national and international guidelines. It is exploratory, descriptive, qualitative research whose interpretation of the data it is anchored on content analysis. It has as universe the 63 Brazilian federal universities, of which those that were ranked at the top of Ranking Webometrics, in each of the five geographic regions were selected. Results show that the five analyzed universities do not reach a high transparency level. Two universities ranked in the medium-high level and three in medium-low level. The compliance with principles of good governance on the Management Reports of these universities is still insufficient to achieve the highest level of transparency. The data show that to improve this profile to increase the active transparency under Brazilian law on access to information and the dissemination of information needs to be timely, with clarity and accuracy implanting good governance practices is necessary. Apresenta revisao da literatura relevante a respeito dos topicos comunicacao cientifica, acesso aberto a literatura cientifica, papel das instituicoes no contexto de politicas publicas e o direito autoral no acesso aberto a literatura cientifica. Metodo. Trata-se de estudo analitico-descritivo que se baseou no uso do metodo de pesquisa bibliografica em conjunto com analise documental, em uma abordagem qualitativa, visando a identificar questoes relevantes a construcao de referencial teorico sobre os temas estudados. Resultados. Com base na literatura e em documentos legais, construiu-se referencial teorico para o estudo do direito autoral na comunicacao cientifica, no contexto do acesso aberto, levando em conta a teoria da ACF, cujo enfoque principal e a formacao de coalizoes. Apresenta nova proposta de modelo do processo de comunicacao cientifica, em que sao incluidas etapas relacionadas com o direito autoral. Situa a discussao no contexto brasileiro e na importância das instituicoes nas politicas publicas. Conclusoes. Metodo . Recorreu-se a pesquisa bibliografica para identificar publicacoes cientificas sobre o conceito de modelo e de modelo conceitual para entao, a partir de fontes de informacao oficiais da IFLA, tratar da genese do modelo conceitual FRBR, a fim de investigar a trajetoria que antecede a publicacao do modelo e identificar o debate intelectual em torno de sua elaboracao. Resultado . Constatou-se que o modelo FRBR nasceu com fins eminentemente praticos, pois engendra um conjunto de expectativas em torno da reducao de custos da catalogacao, indicando um nivel minimo de elementos nos registros bibliograficos que atendam as necessidades dos usuarios associadas com os varios tipos de materiais e contextos de uso. Conclusao . This paper describes the application of a tool for the semantic analysis of a document collection based on the use of term frequency–inverse document frequency (TF – IDF). Methodology . A system based on PHP and MySQL database for the management of a thesaurus, the calculation of TF – IDF (as an indicator of semantic weight) and for development a relevance tree (consisting of those concepts is developed most relevant issue analyzed). The tool was tested to the semantic analysis of a documentary collection of Psychology. Results . The system was able to identify the level of track presence: professional ethics, in a collection of documents Psychology program. Conclusions . The experience described confirms the viability of the tool for the semantic analysis of a documentary collection. It underlines the relevance and capacities of information professionals to develop this kind of tools for processing information. We developed a study based on the documentary descriptive method in the context of the Direccion de Infraestructura (Dinfra) from the Universidad del Zulia. Results. We find evidence of efficiency in the processes that support the management of technical documents: Plans, metrics and memories generated by the Dinfra. Conclusion. To show psychometric research phase to examine the validity of an instrument designed to measure information literacy in the Institutions of higher education in Mexico. Method . The questionnaire design of 50 items was based on the UNESCO standards of information and communication technologies (ICT) competencies for teachers and skills standards for access and use of information in higher education. The methodological strategy contemplated verification of content validity, item-item correlation and construct through factorial analysis. The sample was 73 professors and librarians who work in educational institutions of northwestern Mexico. Results . The final design was reduced to 44 items, and it demonstrated the items evaluate the same construct in their internal structure, and revealed 5 dimensions for informational variable competencies and 5 competencies for ICT. Conclusions .
