As done for every financial market, the participants of this market act to beat it by using historical price data. In literature, traditional financial markets, e.g. stock and exchange, are non-effective due to calendar anomaly, by period. This study applied to a comprehensive empirical research including 5 calendar effect anomaly on top 9 cryptocurrencies. Thanks to GARCH model, not returns only but also variances were examined. Generally, cryptocurrencies have weak form and non-efficient market. In detail, every cryptocurrency has at least one calendar anomaly.","PeriodicalId":422662,"journal":{"name":"Yönetim ve Ekonomi Araştırmaları Dergisi","volume":"21 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139233140","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the organizational behavior literature, narcissism is a multifaceted study subject that is addressed in interpersonal relations, organizational outcomes and an organizational identity. This study aims to analyze the studies on narcissism in organizations and to reveal the course of studies on narcissism in organizations. In this context, the words \"narcissist\" and \"narcissism\" were searched as \"All Fields\" in the Web of Science database. In the Web of Science Categories, search is limited to \"Management\" and \"Business\". 693 studies are analyzed with VOSviewer and the results are discussed. While the intensive use of keywords such as leadership, dark triad and personality draws attention in the analysis results, another striking point is the intense increase in the course of narcissism studies in recent years and the fact that the subject is discussed in different contexts.","PeriodicalId":422662,"journal":{"name":"Yönetim ve Ekonomi Araştırmaları Dergisi","volume":"47 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139273773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results of the estimation of the long-run model show that both foreign and native labors have a positive effect on economic growth, with the effect of native labors being larger than the effect of foreign labor. Both native and foreign labor play an essential role in creating the right background for Turkey's economic growth, so native and foreign labor should be used to increase productivity and production.","PeriodicalId":422662,"journal":{"name":"Yönetim ve Ekonomi Araştırmaları Dergisi","volume":"54 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139281548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, in the econometric model established, the Human Development Index is included as the dependent variable to represent human development, while public health expenditures and household voluntary health expenditures are included as independent variables to represent health expenditures. The results of the empirical analyses indicate a positive and statistically significant relationship between health expenditures and human development. Accordingly, considering the overall panel based on the aforementioned period and group of countries, it is concluded that a 1 unit increase in public health expenditures increases the Human Development Index value by 0.11 units. Similarly, it was observed that a 1 unit increase in household voluntary health expenditures also increases the Human Development Index value by 0.03 units. Therefore, it is concluded that increases in investments in health, both by the public sector and at the household level, and thus the increase in health expenditures, will support human development in this group of countries.","PeriodicalId":422662,"journal":{"name":"Yönetim ve Ekonomi Araştırmaları Dergisi","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135767141","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this sense, welfare states often undertake constitutionally binding commitments to citizens and implement minimum, fair social policies not to undermine the citizens’ living conditions below the level of “worthy of human dignity.” Whereas these policies, introduced against any social risks to adversely affect one’s welfare, should be implemented equally for everyone, states may also adopt positive discrimination while implementing these policies for groups denoted as fragile or disadvantaged that are likely to be more affected by social risks to retain their welfare within “humane” standards. However, the effect of in-kind or cash social transfers within the mentioned policies to the aforementioned groups often remains veiled. Moreover, debates go on about targeting of these transfers. The present descriptive survey research attempted to measure the effectiveness of social policies aimed at improving the living conditions of individuals by contributing to their welfare. We surveyed 582 Burdur-based individuals who could be denoted as disadvantaged due to some tangible reasons. Our findings demonstrated that the participants had worse health status, higher disability rates, and severe housing health-related problems compared to the general population. We also discovered that the participants considered poor had much more inadequate living standards and welfare than those not. The participants’ poverty - calculated based on their income levels – was 54.7% before receiving social assistance and became 39.5% after being opted for social assistance. In other words, we figured out that social assistance reduced the participants’ poverty by 15.1%.","PeriodicalId":422662,"journal":{"name":"Yönetim ve Ekonomi Araştırmaları Dergisi","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135803626","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accordingly, many economic variables have begun to be evaluated together with the concept of sustainability. Undoubtedly, the most important and inclusive of these is sustainable development. It has emerged as a necessity to evaluate the concepts of development and growth for economies and whether they are sustainable. The aim of this study is to analyze the sustainable development performance of countries. For the present purpose, performance evaluation was made on a total of eight criteria, including environmental, social, governance, financial and economic, which are thought to be effective on the sustainability performance of countries. 167 countries whose data can be accessed for the year 2020 were included in the analysis. In the study, the LOPCOW (Logarithmic Percentage Change-driven Objective Weighting) method was used to determine the importance levels of the eight criteria. PIV (Proximity Indexed Value) method was used to rank the sustainable development performances of the countries. The results revealed that Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Ireland are the countries with the best sustainable development performance. It has been deduced that besides economic indicators, other factors such as environmental, social, and management performances are important in measuring the sustainable development performance of countries.","PeriodicalId":422662,"journal":{"name":"Yönetim ve Ekonomi Araştırmaları Dergisi","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135803628","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
