It is shown that the considered system becomes useless for the frequency offset of 0.3% of the subcarrier spacing, if frequency offset correction is not performed. With the proposed estimation technique, the system tolerance to the frequency offset is significantly improved. By leveraging recent advances in signal processing and wireless communications technologies, the Doppler radar technique has the potential to overcome these limitations. We explore the single and multiple antenna systems and SIMO/MIMO signal processing to isolate desired radar return signals from multiple subjects. It has been experimentally demonstrated that up to two subjects can be separated in a single antenna systems. Presented work focuses on the application of well-known hybrid ring structure in hybrid power dividers/combiners. Modified version of the original structure is proposed to achieve enhanced performance of in-phase power divider around mid-band frequency. The system is designed and realized according to virtual instrumentation concept and it consists of two subsystems: 1) external compact and mobile ECG acquisition module with USB communication interface and 2) standard personal computer with graphical user interface and database support. The USB port is selected to be the communication interface between the ECG acquisition module and the PC and also to supply power to the module. The graphical user interface (GUI) is designed in the traditional style of ECG paper plots and additional displays based on suggestions of cardiologists.
