The method used today by the national administrations for calculating the coordination contour around these stations is vague and leads to unnecessarily large coordination areas. A new method of developing the coordination contour is proposed for this type of stations. It is shown that the adoption of the method by the national administrations contributes considerably to the development and wide use of mobile earth stations and eases the harmonic coexistence of this service with the terrestrial services","PeriodicalId":422115,"journal":{"name":"TELSIKS 2005 - 2005 uth International Conference on Telecommunication in ModernSatellite, Cable and Broadcasting Services","volume":"179 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121818081","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Basic antenna diversity designs - ThC, SDC, MRC and EGC -have been tested. They clearly improve bit rate and packet error rate performance, and EGC provides higher antenna diversity gain then SDC. MRC realizes the highest antenna diversity gain compared to the other techniques.","PeriodicalId":422115,"journal":{"name":"TELSIKS 2005 - 2005 uth International Conference on Telecommunication in ModernSatellite, Cable and Broadcasting Services","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129866069","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Not only can ODMRP coexist with any unicast routing protocol, it can function as both multicast and unicast. Thus. ODMRP can run without any underlying unicast protocol. Other ad hoc multicast protocols such as AMRoute, CAMP, RBM, and LAM must be run on top of a unicast routing protocol. CAMP, RBM and LAM in particular only work with certain underlying unicast protocols. In this paper we propose a on demand routing protocol which uses the mobility information obtained from the mobile hosts to predict topological changes. The scheme performs rerouting for a real time flow before a path becomes invalid. This is done using a mechanism we refer to as \"multi-hop handover\". Our goal is to minimize disruptions of real time sessions due to mobility","PeriodicalId":422115,"journal":{"name":"TELSIKS 2005 - 2005 uth International Conference on Telecommunication in ModernSatellite, Cable and Broadcasting Services","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130221968","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The waterfall region is considered. The conventional RAKE receiver is used as a reference. MAI (multiple access interference), usually modelled as an additive white Gaussian noise, is simulated by generating signals of other users strictly according to the standards. The simulation results for both receivers (RAKE and advanced one) show that channel interleaves enhance performance considerably.","PeriodicalId":422115,"journal":{"name":"TELSIKS 2005 - 2005 uth International Conference on Telecommunication in ModernSatellite, Cable and Broadcasting Services","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125834625","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
