Scanning receiver is both a receiver and a wireless communication measurement instrument, and carrier frequency offset affects both receiver performance and measurement accuracy. In this paper, we introduced a phase based algorithm for frequency offset estimation, experiments and analysis were also given to verify its effectivity and limitations. Sensitivity and linearity differences between sensors or the drift due to aging or temperature can result in a different DC output voltage for the same RF power. So a calibrator is needed to absolute the incident power. In this paper, after the common principles of power reference source are presented, a dynamic calibrator source with high accuracy and linearity is fully discussed. The emphases are put on the methods to ensure the technical specifications associated with the accuracy, linearity, and temperature stability. A two-unit-cell zeroth-order resonant (ZOR) antenna based on the CRLH TL is designed. The results demonstrate that the antenna can work well in the 1.75GHz~40GHz frequency range. Compared with the conventional antenna, the proposed antenna has better omni-direction characteristics in H-plane radiation pattern and the main direction of the E-plane radiation pattern keeps stable. The researches are based on a time-domain channel measurement carried out in a laboratory environment. The channel behaviors of two typical scenarios-Line of Sight (LOS) and None Line of Sight (NLOS) are studied. A new shadowing distribution of channel gain is observed in both scenarios, i.e., the amplitude-delay distribution of channel coefficients follows a single-exponential decay law while the first path component is much stronger. A multipath delay model is proposed to describe the decay characteristic of multipath. The proposed channel model has only five parameters, which are easy to be obtained. It has the advantages of spectral accuracy and block-diagonal mass matrix. This technique is based on Gauss-Lobatto-Legendre polynomials and Galerkin's method is used for spatial discretization. The perfectly matched layer is employed to truncate the boundary in unbounded problems. Firstly, an ultra-wideband monopole antenna is designed using a radial patch. The path is fed by using microstrip line. The return loss of the antenna is less than -10dB within the frequency range of UWB system, i.e. from 3.1GHz to 10.6GHz. To restrain the interference between UWB and WLAN a notch band shall be inserted in the UWB passband. Two symmetrical microstrip resonators are externally loaded to the microstrip feed line to form a notch band. The frequency range of notch band can be controlled by adjusting the size and the position of the loaded resonator. A notch band from 5.2GHz to 5.8GHz is achieved.
