This study was conducted to assess the socioeconomic characteristics and to explore the farmers’ efficiency of cauliflower production in Gazipur district of Bangladesh by applying the stochastic production frontier approach. Primary data were collected through a field survey of 60 cauliflower farmers from January to March 2023, using a semi-structured interview schedule. The major findings of this study revealed that 95% of the respondents were aged between 30 and 64 years; 48.33% of households had a small family size; and 86.67% of the respondents’ primary occupation was agriculture. Cauliflower production was profitable. Per hectare total cost, total return, gross margin, net return, and benefit-cost ratio (BCR) were Tk. 286112, 386250, 138218, 100138, and 1.35, respectively. The mean farmer's technical efficiency was 90%, which implies that the household cultivating the cauliflower can increase revenue by 10% at a given level of resources. Cauliflower farmers complained of a lack of quality seed, the high price of quality seed, natural calamities, and attacks of pests and diseases. Cauliflower is one of the important vegetable crops grown by farmers, mainly to generate household income. The study area has tremendous potential for cauliflower production.","PeriodicalId":417882,"journal":{"name":"IDC International Journal","volume":" 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139622375","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present study was conducted to analyze the green banking activities and reasons for the adoption of green banking, examine the factors contributing to the adoption of green banking, assess the relationship between green banking and the factors affecting the adoption of green banking, and find out the problems faced by bank officials in adopting green banking. A total of six banks and 60 bank employees were selected randomly from Mymensingh and Sylhet districts in Bangladesh. Data were analyzed through the Likert scale and the Pearson Chi-square test. A multinomial logistic regression model and the Garrett ranking method were also used. The major findings showed that private banks were more concerned about green activities than public banks, and the most important reason for the adoption of green banking was that banks wanted to convert their activities from traditional to modern. Environmental benefits, stakeholder pressure, policy guidelines, economic components, and loan demand were significantly influenced by adopting green banking. This study found that the lack of training for bank officials and the inadequate knowledge of customers about green activities were two of the biggest problems for the adoption of green banking. For the improvement of green banking services, a training facility for bank officials needs to be established. Keywords: Green banking, Adoption, Problems, Bank officials, Bangladesh.","PeriodicalId":417882,"journal":{"name":"IDC International Journal","volume":" 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139622993","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Adolescents are defined by the World Health Organization as those between the ages of 10 and 19. However, adolescence is sometimes incorrectly and narrowly associated with puberty and the physical changes that lead to reproductive maturity in many civilizations. Adolescence is not only associated with physical changes but also with developmental shifts in the individual's mind, social life, and moral code in certain cultures. The term \"adolescence\" is essentially equal to \"teens\" in these cultures, referring to the time between the ages of 12 and 20. Anorexia nervosa is a psychological disorder characterized by self-starvation and medically low body weight. Research indicates that anorexia nervosa develops through complex interaction among social, psychological and biological risk factors. Anorexia nervosa is most common in adolescent girls and young women but affects other age groups and genders. Maximum girls fearing of gaining weight and distorted perception of weight.","PeriodicalId":417882,"journal":{"name":"IDC International Journal","volume":"30 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139319199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since writing is a major focus in teaching any English language course, thus English language teachers hope to help students write better. A key issue of interest to both researchers and teachers in second language writing is how teacher’s correct student’s writing. Corrective feedback is highly effective means for improving learner’s acquisition process because it helps learners to match their written work with target language models and thus increase their attention to structures that have not been acquired earlier and eventually it can be the beginning of learning process. Research finding indicate that students favor error feedback from teachers because they believe that they will get benefit from it.","PeriodicalId":417882,"journal":{"name":"IDC International Journal","volume":"2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139359166","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
