These are quite economical buildings that most fully reflect the idea of energy saving and the concept of environmentally friendly housing. \u0000The symmetry of the sphere allows the most efficient placement of solar panels and solar collectors. The structures of the house are assembled quickly and do not require heavy construction equipment. By reducing the volume of the heating room, we save on heat resources, so the heating of the domed house in the winter requires 20 – 30% less energy in comparison to the rectangular buildings. \u0000The purpose of the article is to offer solutions for the development of projects of energy-efficient geo-houses in Ukraine. To search for the most rational design and technological solutions; to analyze the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of energy efficient geo-house buildings in order to build them in Ukraine. \u0000The geodesic dome is made of polyurethane foam, reinforced concrete, wood, fiberglass concrete. Frame structures of the geo-house are made of metal or timber, the \"skeleton\" is lined with plywood or special OSB-boards. This method provides lightness and strength of the building. The dome must have the optimal size of the ribs, not more than 2.5 m in length, which allows you to erect a frame without the use of technology, with a force of 2 ÷ 3 people. Two installation methods of the frame are considered: connector and non-connector. \u0000The proposed solutions for the development of energy-efficient geo-houses' projects in Ukraine will allow in the near future to solve the problems of ecology, energy saving, natural resources saving in the country. Energy-efficient geo-house is the best option for any region of Ukraine, thanks to the undeniable advantages: rigidity and stability of the frame, geometric symmetry of shapes and strength, energy efficiency, high seismic stability, erection speed and originality.","PeriodicalId":417857,"journal":{"name":"Architectural Bulletin of KNUCA","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128507165","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article presents the results of a historical analysis of the evolution of the educational model of Algeria in the field of architecture, which depended on the political and socio-cultural influence of the metropolis on the development of the architectural knowledge of the colonial region. The author also considers the paths along which the formation of architectural education and its formation at the beginning of the 20th century took place during the late 19th century. It is analyzed that the training of Algerian architects during the French colonization took place within the local culture, which affected the further independent direction of the development of the architectural school of Algeria. It is analyzed that the architectural education of Algeria since the signing of the Evian Agreements is associated with the nature of the activities of architects and the expectations from their preparation, a combination of artistic ability and constructive technical knowledge. The article examines the influence of modernism as a social project, reflecting the advanced social reformist ideas of its time, on the rethinking of the professional training of architects in Algeria. The contribution of the leading representatives of modernist architecture to the renewal of the artistic language of architecture in Algeria is also considered: the social attitudes of modernist architects contributed to the principled attitude towards novelty in architecture and architectural education.","PeriodicalId":417857,"journal":{"name":"Architectural Bulletin of KNUCA","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133804421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The causes of illegal development and slum areas are determined as well as architectural methods for their solution in various countries of the world. \u0000This problem has long been known and affects many countries and, in particular, the Kingdom of Morocco. There, it is exacerbated by the imperfection, and sometimes absence, of legislative documents, corruption and unwillingness of the authorities to deal with this issue that is vital for the country. Disappointing statistics on the spread of slums and the situation of people living there are given. The statistics of the growth of illegal development in the city of Casablanca are given as an example. \u0000The experience of dealing with this problem in other countries (on the example of Chile, Mexico, Germany) is considered. To solve this problem, a social housing complex in Iquique, Quinta Monroy, was erected in Chile. The decision was very successful and a similar social project was repeated in Mexico. The residential complex in Dessau Tertin, designed by Walter Gropius (Bauhaus), was also considered. Concerning this complex, the successful use of local building materials and modern (at that time) technologies was noted, as well as the simplicity of solutions. \u0000The findings cited the main causes of the emergence and proliferation of slums in the world and in the Kingdom of Morocco in particular. The main reasons for the spread of illegal construction should be considered: population migration and rapid demographic growth, inaction and corruption of the responsible governing and control bodies for reconstruction and construction, the lack of qualified technical specialists and engineers, complicated legal and administrative stages, the creation of unstructured residential communities, and the limited income of most citizens. It is noted that in Morocco, one of the main reasons for the emergence of illegal development is the population migration of the country’s population in search of work. This is especially true for agricultural workers.","PeriodicalId":417857,"journal":{"name":"Architectural Bulletin of KNUCA","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117342729","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the article the information on the history of art glass development is given. According to the results of the historical analysis, it is concluded that new directions of glass application arose with the development of new technologies of glass production and processing - this process continues to this day. An overview of the state of study of the problem, in particular the research of Kazakova L.V., F.Petryakova, Som-Serdyukova O.M., Daineko V.V., and identified the main areas in which research is conducted. The physical properties of glass and its types by technological features are considered. A historical overview of the development of gutnitsy on the territory of Ukraine. The two main trends in studio glassmaking to date have been identified and a conclusion has been drawn about the evolution of art glass from the subject form to the art object. The current state of art glass formation is characterized by associativity, metaphoricalness, and increased decorativeness. The classification of art glass according to the function of application in public interior is carried out. The basic compositional methods of placing art glass in the space of public interior are revealed. Three degrees of integration of art glass with elements of architecture are formulated: the decor on architectural elements, as a part of architectural elements, is directly an architectural and constructive element. Examples of objects that demonstrate the integration of art glass with architectural elements are given. Henri Matisse's stained glass windows in the Dominican Sisters' Chapel in Mans, France, are described as an example of the use of the \"rhythm\" compositional technique and Dale Chihuly's glass garden gallery in Seattle with a glass installation that dominates the pavilion. It is concluded that the choice of compositional methods of including art glass in the interior space depends on many factors - the functional purpose of the room, the specifics of space, its size, etc. and should take into account aspects of its psychological impact on man, principles of structural and compositional organization and features life processes.","PeriodicalId":417857,"journal":{"name":"Architectural Bulletin of KNUCA","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116705411","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article substantiates the need to complete the formation of an integrated network of pedestrian spaces in the historic center of Kiev. Now the historic center covers three hills - the Upper Town, Pechersk and Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. However, the problem of creating an integrated network of pedestrian connections in the historic center of Kyiv has not yet been solved, and its formation is one of the urgent tasks today. After all, the creation of a holistic system of pedestrian ways in the historic city makes it possible to increase its tourist potential and ensure the preservation and development of historical and cultural heritage. The author proposes a method of spatial analysis to assess the state of public spaces in the city. The author's comparative analysis of two cities in the UK confirmed the importance and cost-effectiveness of pedestrian public spaces. \u0000It is noted that the existing transport infrastructure of the city of Kyiv does not provide for the formation of new pedestrian zones. The author analyzes the central squares of Kyiv: Independence Square, Troitska, Tolstoy, European, Sofiyska, Mykhailivska, Lvivska and Peremohy Squares in terms of comfortable pedestrian movement and the availability of public places. It turned out that in terms of transport accessibility, they are convenient, but not suitable for pedestrians; by use - have mainly administrative, political functions; sometimes - cultural; by category of comfort - are inconvenient, there are no sanitary conditions, places for sitting, rest, greens; these are mainly transport interchanges; by category of social function - meeting places, commercial spaces; there are no signs of identity. Means of forming a network of pedestrian public spaces and proposals for the design of individual fragments of the city are proposed. The author determines how transit space and stationary spaces are used, whether it is possible to use them as a citywide public space and connect it to the main axis along Volodymyrska and Khreschatyk.","PeriodicalId":417857,"journal":{"name":"Architectural Bulletin of KNUCA","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116528285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
