It focused on the essence of the lived experiences of a MOOCer. Findings reveal that teachers may find MOOC a venue for the continuous and sustainable training platform where they could discover new approaches, strategies, and effective methodologies for the improvement of the teaching-learning process. MOOC will serve as the common milieu for teachers to meet new acquaintances, friends, noted personalities, authors, and trainers. The new knowledge, skills, and attitude developed through time as they continuously hold with the tenets of MOOC will bring them a place in the domain of education and training. The hunger for the latest ideas and information brought about by internalizing the ideals of MOOC will drive them more to discover new ways of thinking, teaching, and sharing thoughts for the betterment of learning school children. MOOC will become the hub for personality development and the attitude of the ideal teacher of tomorrow.","PeriodicalId":417316,"journal":{"name":"PUPIL: International Journal of Teaching, Education and Learning","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131080834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Implementing technology into learning environments has been known to increase students’ academic experiences and learning outcomes. However, evidence remains unclear when it comes to showing that students have learned while using technology. Learning with technology can increase personal well-being. The Well-being Theory and PERMA model will be used as the theoretical framework to show how optimal learning with technology can improve students' outcomes and contribute to multidimensional well-being components. This is not only true for young students, as older individuals’ partake in academia and use technology to increase their learning experiences. The research was based on previous literature on learning with technology and how to enhance personal well-being. Findings revealed that learning with technology does strengthen teaching and learning experiences. It also contributes to positive attitudes toward learning with technology when students and teachers are provided with adequate training. It will provide information related to how learning with technology influences collaboration and fosters social networking. Finally, the conclusion will be based on the rationale for using technology for learning and its contribution to personal well-being. Future research recommendations and limitations are addressed.","PeriodicalId":417316,"journal":{"name":"PUPIL: International Journal of Teaching, Education and Learning","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125687733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach. Collecting data using the method of observation and semi-structured interviews with a zoom meeting application to respondents. The school sample was determined purposively, namely the public Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 1 Berakit Village, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province, Indonesia. The research respondents consisted of the principal, teachers, students, and representatives of the parents. The findings of this study reveal that fishermen's children experience socio-economic obstacles in the learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is caused by factors of income, education, and their parents' occupation as fishermen. As fishermen, the parents of students have relatively low income and education levels. So that online learning does not take place effectively. The potential of the coastal environment which has beautiful and clean natural characteristics turns out to be able to be children following online learning. Teachers have used it as a collaborative and communicative learning media during the COVID-19 pandemic.","PeriodicalId":417316,"journal":{"name":"PUPIL: International Journal of Teaching, Education and Learning","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123726806","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A considerable population of school students has been attending school from home for roughly five months now. Social Constructivist pedagogy is the need of the hour and, multiple research focussed on effective teaching and learning have endorsed it. Presently, there are no validated Instruments that, can measure and monitor the Social Constructivist domain, in a synchronous virtual classroom. This study discusses an Instrument developed to measure the social constructivist dimension of a virtual classroom in light of the concepts of Social Constructivism and Cybergogy. This paper includes an assessment of the pilot study. The evidence for the validity (Cronbach's alpha) and construct reliability of this Instrument assure that the presented assessment tool is well suited to measure the Social Constructivist dimension of a secondary level virtual classroom.","PeriodicalId":417316,"journal":{"name":"PUPIL: International Journal of Teaching, Education and Learning","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121848851","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The researchers used a questionnaire to collect data from students of Bachelor of Education in social studies and interviewed with graduate users, graduate producers, and academics. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results of the research revealed that the overall opinion level was at a high level. The highest score is in the area of being a good person with morals and ethics and the teaching profession. The aspect with the least level of opinions was to be an innovator. Therefore, graduate producers should promote the characteristics of the graduates to heighten their innovation capability through well-planned instruction and extra activities followed by the Thailand qualification framework and professional standards of the Teachers Council of Thailand.","PeriodicalId":417316,"journal":{"name":"PUPIL: International Journal of Teaching, Education and Learning","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128324658","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
