The existing variety of meanings and contradictory definitions necessitates conducting a thorough literature review on three tightly coupled concepts of innovation ecosystem, business ecosystem and entrepreneurial ecosystem. This study is based upon a mixed technique, which combines a bibliometric analysis and in-depth investigation of papers devoted to these research streams. Through examining their theoretical background, constructing conceptual structures and performing an in-depth analysis we were able to define the essence of innovation, business and entrepreneurial ecosystems as well as their distinctive features. Then, we proceeded with a comparative analysis of these concepts, which allowed us to outline the existing similarities and to demarcate the concepts from an ontological perspective. This study provides certain clarification for the existing conceptual mix in the field of the ecosystem research and can be used as a foundation for a further investigation of the concept.","PeriodicalId":41639,"journal":{"name":"Rossiiskii Zhurnal Menedzhmenta-Russian Management Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67783644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to the main results of the empirical literature, entrepreneurs, first, own a substantial share of total household wealth, and many of the wealthiest people are entrepreneurs. Second, entrepreneurs have higher saving rates than other households, and, third, entrepreneurs face restrictions on borrowing. We analyze dynamic general equilibrium models based on stylized facts about the behavior of entrepreneurs, where agents can choose the type of activity between entrepreneurship and wage labor. Their build-in mechanisms of encouraging entrepreneurial savings due to borrowing constraints, financial intermediation costs, and uninsured entrepreneurial risk allow calibrated versions of these models to successfully replicate the observed distribution of household wealth. Results of application of general equilibrium models with an entrepreneurial sector to assess the consequences of various types of tax reforms and financial shocks are discussed.","PeriodicalId":41639,"journal":{"name":"Rossiiskii Zhurnal Menedzhmenta-Russian Management Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67783231","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, emerging markets provide numerous opportunities for e-commerce; however, they are also associated with specific barriers, limiting the potential for fully exploiting these opportunities. With an Internet audience of 93 mln people, the Russian emerging market represents the largest online audience in Europe, stimulating substantial e-commerce growth over the last decade. The main objective of this paper is to explore consumer perception of e-commerce adoption factors on two levels — the first are the macro-level factors, associated with the overall environment, institutional factors and trust; the second one is store-level factors, or factors associated with real consumer experiences. This multi-level approach reflects the complexity of consumer thinking about the market — both in terms of the evolving environment, offering opportunities to make decisions and make purchases; and real experience, where the factors are influencing particular consumer decisions and are weighted by consumers as pros and cons. Our study is based on a survey, using a sample of 3 387 respondents representing the consumer perspective. The findings reveal the structure of the driving and limiting factors, highlighting the core role of the trustworthiness and transparency of the e-commerce market players, delivery conditions and store-related risks.","PeriodicalId":41639,"journal":{"name":"Rossiiskii Zhurnal Menedzhmenta-Russian Management Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67783549","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study is based on data obtained from analysis of innovations in banknote production industry. The international banknote industry characterized by limited number of buyers (monopsony) and suppliers (oligopoly) is an example of highly innovative sector with important national security task to maintain integrity of currency circulation. It is a truly global industry focused on constant development of new security technologies adopted by most of the central banks. Our findings suggest the factor of lead market is one of the key elements in taking decision by the central bank to adapt certain security features and technologies for their banknotes. Geographical origination of a particular technology is been put aside when issue of national security is in place. Only the value of an innovation itself matters. We argue that lead market factor is a specific characteristic for of innovation diffusion in this sector that should be common for areas where government institutions act as single buyer when the supply is scarce i.e., military industry, space sector, some pharmaceutical markets etc.","PeriodicalId":41639,"journal":{"name":"Rossiiskii Zhurnal Menedzhmenta-Russian Management Journal","volume":"116 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67783358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article examines the relationship between the general level of motivation for learning digital skills and a number of factors, assesses the average level of motivation for four groups of skills, and compares the level of motivation between groups of workers and their motives. Empirical data were obtained by conducting an online survey of the working population in March 2020, the target sample was 116 respondents. It was revealed that the general level of motivation of workers to learn decreases with the increasing complexity of digital skills. The hypotheses about the relationship between the level of motivation and the perceived difficulty of using information and communication technologies and previous learning experience were confirmed. Differences between the groups of workers in the level of motivation and the degree of mastering specialized digital skills, related to the nature of the work were revealed. A higher interest in mastering this group of skills, as well as the degree of mastering them, was demonstrated by the group of managers. The strongest motive for acquiring digital skills is the need to use them at work.","PeriodicalId":41639,"journal":{"name":"Rossiiskii Zhurnal Menedzhmenta-Russian Management Journal","volume":"22 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67783303","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The object of the study is transportation enterprises that have critical importance for the national and global economy. I argue that the success of the infrastructure projects depends on the external environment state and is most evident during macroeconomic recovery. Authorities make less rational decisions and approve more innovative and expensive projects at the micro level if the national economy approaches the peak of growth. The productivity of operating objects depends on the interplay between the external environment and the internal functional and isolated levels of the enterprise — physical, distribution, economic, technological, and design. I suggest that these levels differ dramatically by their innovativeness and planning horizon. The physical level implies the routine and short-term planning, whereas the project level implies the higher level of innovativeness and long-term planning horizon. The remaining levels occupy an intermediate position between these two poles. A significant deviation from the indicated distribution at the functional levels can undermine the productivity of transportation enterprise and infrastructure projects. I illustrate this assumption using the cases of the construction projects of Terminal 5 at Heathrow and Berlin–Brandenburg Airports. In both projects, the obtained results were far from the planned ones, which proves the distortions in the way their activities were distributed between functional levels.","PeriodicalId":41639,"journal":{"name":"Rossiiskii Zhurnal Menedzhmenta-Russian Management Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67783373","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The relevance of this research is determined by the fact that, according to the Basel III standards, the Central Bank of Russia has introduced the additional component of the capital adequacy standard, the countercyclical buffer. The countercyclical buffer is aimed at creating a special reserve, which is created during periods of economic growth and used to support bank’s activities during recessions. The paper analyzes determinants of the capital buffer by constructing a panel regression based on the System GMM method using data from 48 Russian banks. The main result of the study was the confirmation of an inverse relationship between the size of the capital buffer and GDP growth rate for large and medium domestic banks. Besides, we consider the impact on the capital buffer size of such indicators as ROE, the share of nonperforming loans in a bank’s portfolio and the size of a loan portfolio itself.","PeriodicalId":41639,"journal":{"name":"Rossiiskii Zhurnal Menedzhmenta-Russian Management Journal","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47947073","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We have developed a conceptual framework based on the technology acceptance model, the expectation-confirmation theory, and the concept of information systems continuance. Our intent is to conduct an empirical study on consumers’ online repurchase of household equipment, which has not been undertaken before. 218 respondents answered our survey on the IKEA online repurchase intention. Structural equation modeling has been used for the analysis. Concerning the household equipment market, our findings indicate that past internet shopping experience affects online customers’ perceived ease of use, confirmation and satisfaction. The usability of a website affects trust, perceived enjoyment, and usefulness. Customers’ confirmation affects satisfaction but not perceived usefulness. Intention to repurchase household equipment online is positively affected by perceived usefulness and satisfaction. Analysis of our data leads to the counter-intuitive finding that online repurchase intention is negatively affected by perceived enjoyment. Our study contributes to bring together several extant online repurchase intention models.","PeriodicalId":41639,"journal":{"name":"Rossiiskii Zhurnal Menedzhmenta-Russian Management Journal","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42777099","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
