The Rossmann-fold protein that has typical structure is a common kind of alpha/beta protein. The training set, selected from 22 families, is constituted of 79 Rossmann-fold proteins which have less than 25% sequence identity with each other. The hierarchical clustering method according to RMSD is applied and a profile-HMM based on structure alignment is built for each cluster. Testing on 9505 proteins with less than 95% sequence identity from Astral1.65, the sensitivity, specificity and MCC are 93.9%, 82.1% and 0.876 respectively. The result shows that building profile-HMMs after classification could reach precise fold recognition while a unified one cannot be built due to there are too many members in training set.","PeriodicalId":415908,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Seminar on Future BioMedical Information Engineering","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131982358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The principle of weak signal detection based on the change of phase trace is described, and the influence of noise to the system status in the chaos detection process is also studied. Simulation experiments show that the oscillator is sensitive to the small signal having the tiny frequency difference with the referential signal and immune against the random noise and interference signal having larger frequency difference with the referential signal. Through analyzing the intermittent chaos mechanism of Duffing oscillator, it was found that the system output is a intermittent chaotic signal when input frequency deviates the compulsory drive frequency slightly, and the deviation can be estimated by the statistic characteristic of output chaotic signal. Simulation results show that the signal with low SNR can be detected by the method.","PeriodicalId":415908,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Seminar on Future BioMedical Information Engineering","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122097509","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The procedure of EEG signal pattern recognition consisted of information acquisition, preprocessing, feature extraction and selection, classification estimation and recognition. By studying the association between EEG signal and prosthetic movement, it was concluded that EEG signal controlling prosthesis was feasible. Therefore, a prosthetic controlled system was designed based on EEG signal pattern recognition and acquisition. The system initiated from scalp electrode (or prosthetic electrode), passed through differential amplifier circuit (or prosthetic drive circuit), pre-amplifier circuit, notch circuit, med-amplifier circuit, and filter circuit, and finally reached analog-to-digital converter. The practice proves that this prosthetic controlled system can satisfy various requirements of EEG signal-controlled prosthesis pretty well.","PeriodicalId":415908,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Seminar on Future BioMedical Information Engineering","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116621262","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By analyzing the frequency characteristic of typical fractional order differential filter, it can be seen that these kinds of differential filters have merits and demerits respectively and also could be complementary each other. So based on these features, three kinds of novel first order differential filters are constructed by the interpolated method. And then we choose a differential filter from these three kinds of filters which has much better frequency characteristic, also the improved IIR-type fractional order differential filter will be obtained by the method of continuous fraction expansion (CFE). The experiment result shows that the frequency response of the improved fractional order differential filter is more approximate to the ideal fractional order differential filter. And it also shows that the method put forward in the paper can improve the performance of the fractional order differential filter obviously under the premise of not increasing the structure complexity of the filter.","PeriodicalId":415908,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Seminar on Future BioMedical Information Engineering","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128159776","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

After HE staining, the pathomorphologic changes of tumor cells were observed by optical microscope. The ultrastructural changes of tumor cells were observed by transmission electron microscopy. Flow cytometry was used to observe the apoptosis rate in S180 cells. The experimental results showed that the tumor inhibition rate at the dosage of 2, 4 and 8mumol/kg of juglone was 29.04%, 37.33%, 52.66% respectively. The tumor weight of all dose groups of juglone were lower significantly than that in blank control group (P<0.01). The typical morphological changes of apoptosis were observed, such as chromatin condensation, margination against nuclear envelope and formation of apoptotic bodies by transmission electron microscopy. The subdiploid peak was found and the apoptosis rate of juglone at the dosage of 2, 4 and 8 mumol/kg was 5.58plusmn0.63%, 6.66plusmn0.85%, 10.27plusmn1.05% respectively. (CSBE), effect of apoptosis of SGC-7901 induced by CSBE was observed. In addition, the changes of initiator, effector and marker in process of mitochondria signal transduction pathway were surveyed. The inhibitory and killing effects of SGC-7901 induced by CSBE were studied by MTT method, and apoptosis of SGC-7901 induced by CSBE was observed with flowcytometry. Mitochondrial membrane potential was detected by SRB 123 to reveal initiator in mitochondrial apoptosis pathway induced by CSBE. The release of cytochrome C (Cyt c), marker of mitochondrial apoptosis pathway, was analyzed with western blot method. Activity of caspase 3 which was the effector of mitochondrial apoptosis pathway was measured by enzyme-labeled instrument. CBSE can inhibit growth of SGC-7901, and induce apoptosis. Proportion of apoptotic cell was increased as concentration of drug rised. CSBE could reduce mitochondrial membrane potential and initiate mitochondrial apoptosis pathway. After SGC-7901 was treated with CSBE, the up-regulation of expression of Cyt c in cytoplasm indicated that Cyt c was involved in apoptosis process induced by CSBE. CSBE could activate caspase-3, effector of mitochondrial apoptosis pathway, which caused apoptosis of SGC-7901. As a result, CSBE can induce mitochondrial PTP channel open of SGC-7901, and decrease mitochondrial membrane potential. In addition, CSBE could result in release of mitochondrial Cyt c, and cause activation of Caspase-3. Eventually SGC-7901 was induced apoptosis through mitochondrial signal transduction pathway.","PeriodicalId":415908,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Seminar on Future BioMedical Information Engineering","volume":"14 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123693682","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Supply chain system with multiple distribution centers in which there is a single kind of product sold is selected as a study case. Control of system disturbance to cause bullwhip effect in supply chain is discussed based on Kalman filter theory and stochastic control method. Firstly, product inventory nominal model of supply chain system is set up and influence mechanism of bullwhip effect is concluded. Secondly, transmission process of product demand information in supply chain system is analyzed. Thirdly, calculation model of bullwhip effect is obtained by the comparison of product inventory fluctuation quantity of the distributor with product demand fluctuation quantity of the tradesman.
