Understanding APIs and gaining knowledge about their usage are therefore fundamental needs for developers that impact a wide range of software development activities. This paper presents an approach to enable API users to explore, discover and learn about APIs through API topic issues discussed in Stack Overflow (SO), a widely used programming, community question-answering (CQA) site. Our work proposes an integrated API Knowledge Base (KB) and indexing technique that combines both SO API-related posts as well as other API learning resources collected from the Web (e.g., API video-tutorials from Youtube). The resulting indexed and enriched API community knowledge can be queried in a API-topic-issue driven manner using a simple yet powerful domain-specific language (DSL). We demonstrate the feasibility of our approach through Scout-bot, our tool for exploration and discovery of API topic issues.","PeriodicalId":413655,"journal":{"name":"2020 XLVI Latin American Computing Conference (CLEI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130098864","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to maintain the quality of service required by these applications, the network faces the restriction of rapid recovery in cases of failure. Also, it must minimize the different costs that this entails, and prioritize requests in case of not having the necessary resources for recovery. In this context, this work deals with the design of the main multicast route and its protection, with quality of protection (QoP) levels. For this reason, two protection schemes have been addressed: dualtree based and biconnected-subgraph based. To achieve this, competitive evolutionary techniques are applied; where the total number of links used, the number of wavelength converters, the number of splitter nodes, and the number of destinations served and protected are objective functions simultaneously optimized in a Pareto context. The experimental tests were carried out on different network topologies and multicast demands, considering the hypervolume as a Pareto quality measure. The results suggest that the subgraph-based strategy is more promising, obtaining better results than the protection based on dual-tree.","PeriodicalId":413655,"journal":{"name":"2020 XLVI Latin American Computing Conference (CLEI)","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116255586","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Likewise, standardized data allowed interoperability between systems. The designed CAD is focused on Diabetic Retinopathy diagnosis with three main functions: (I) digital image processing for detection, segmentation and extraction of retina image anomaly features, (II) binary classification, and finally (III) converter of the results to the DICOM standard (Digital Imagine and Communication Systems). It was decided to use an open source and free license PACS called Orthanc. The results show the successful integration of the systems, since the studies entered in the CAD are accessed directly from the PACS. At the same time, usability tests show a high degree of efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction of clinical users in the use of the system.","PeriodicalId":413655,"journal":{"name":"2020 XLVI Latin American Computing Conference (CLEI)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126563342","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using the data, from its inception on March 6, 2020, to June 10, 2020. In our case, in Peru, It has been forecast that the disease will peak, on the contagion curve, at 160-day from the first case. The total duration of the disease is approximately 15 months (450 days), the number of deceases will be approximately 1% of the entire population, and the total number of infected will reach approximately 85% of the population. The evolution of the parameters β, γ and μ show that the disease always tends to disappear, since they are directly related to the population and the condition of the individuals (Susceptible, Infected or Recovered). These parameters control the model, however, it is not trivial to be able to establish adequate values over time, since it will largely depend on the culture of the population mainly, and the policies that the government proposes, and in which way the population will comply with these policies to control the evolution of the pandemic. For example, one way to control the parameter β is compulsory social isolation with a strict epidemiological stratified fence by cities, thereby reducing the value of the contagion rate to zero and allowing the pandemic to be effectively controlled. However, in Peru, this control has not been achieved, since the population is very varied in its culture and quite reluctant to comply with the government's recommendations.","PeriodicalId":413655,"journal":{"name":"2020 XLVI Latin American Computing Conference (CLEI)","volume":"115 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132564644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is a large amount of information to be processed, which makes tasks related to the collection and explotation of text challenging, requiring effort from the most diverse areas, especially computational linguistics. One of the goals of computational linguistics is to enable the collection and explotation of linguistic datasets, through empirical evidence, extracted with the application of computational resources. This work presents the creation of dataset extracted from a newspaper. Techniques were used for extracting sentences, tokenization, named entities recognition (NER), as well as statistical methods for describing the dataset. Other researchers can directly benefit from the available corpus. This work presents a corpus with 1029 annotated news articles in Portuguese for entities according to HAREM categories. In a sample of 108 pages, our experiments show a 97.0% similarity compared to gold standard texts from the same newspaper. For the NER task and automatic annotation of the extracted dataset, proportions of the datasets of Second Harem and aTribuna100 were used to train a hybrid model $text{CRF}+text{LG}$. With the trained model, the 1029 articles extracted were automatically annotated. In general, the values of the metrics demonstrate that optimal metrics achievements for the classification model for the 70/30 Proportion, especially for the Person (PER) category, reaching 91.11% and 95.82% for precision and recall, respectively. Overall, the model showed 95.86% accuracy.","PeriodicalId":413655,"journal":{"name":"2020 XLVI Latin American Computing Conference (CLEI)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133499315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Initially, a transport type TS (Transport Stream) with Closed Caption service was generated, based on the standards of the ISDB-Tb digital television standard, established by ARIB (Association of Broadcasting Industries and Businesses). Later an algorithm is specified that allows the extraction of the Closed Caption text and generates the insertion of Ecuadorian sign language video tracks, called LSEC tracks, in the original multimedia content. These video tracks were created by the authors and represent words from the oral language, in Ecuadorian sign language through a 3D-avatar. Finally, a qualitative evaluation was carried out on the accessible content generated by the proposed solution and an analysis of the results obtained is presented.","PeriodicalId":413655,"journal":{"name":"2020 XLVI Latin American Computing Conference (CLEI)","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116676338","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Producing more food while consuming fewer resources like water, fertilizers, and arable land is probably the most important. Today more than ever, farmers need specialized technological tools to achieve this goal. It is possible to improve agricultural processes by practicing technology-supported precision agriculture. However, more technology development to optimize crop yield is needed worldwide. In this research, we conducted a systematic literature review in which we studied different articles that propose optimization for agricultural processes. We identified some proposals made from multiple researchers at distinct latitudes, focused on optimizing the irrigation and management of pests and diseases. Nevertheless, there are only a few studies that focus on optimizing the crop yield. They do that by controlling the different factors that can affect it. We also found out that only a few studies have been conducted in the Latin American region. Thus, these findings show areas in which there is still a lot of opportunities to contribute to the agro sector in Latin American countries.","PeriodicalId":413655,"journal":{"name":"2020 XLVI Latin American Computing Conference (CLEI)","volume":"151 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116091523","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The questionnaire is one of the most widely used instruments for measuring self-regulated learning (SRL) strategies in online environments. However, questionnaires available in the literature have some limitations when applied in MOOCs: (1) they do not consider those strategies that have been related with academic achievements in MOOCs; (2) the response rates are low due to their large number of questions, which limits the usage of the collected data; and (3) they do not capture the idiosyncrasies of the actual MOOCs technological environment given that statements of existing questionnaires are based on instruments developed in the 90s. To overcome these shortcomings, this study presents the MOOC-SRL, a questionnaire to measure SRL in MOOCs. This questionnaire is built upon an analysis of existing SRL questionnaires used in traditional face to face, online learning and on a review that analyzed which SRL strategies relate to successful learning outcomes in MOOCs. This questionnaire was validated through an exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis developed over a sample of 4,627 ($N = 4,627$) learners of 6 different MOOCs. The final questionnaire consists of 22 items to assess 5 SRL strategies in MOOCs: Self-efficacy, Goal setting, Study environment management, Organization and Help-seeking.","PeriodicalId":413655,"journal":{"name":"2020 XLVI Latin American Computing Conference (CLEI)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131050982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
