The present day School Mathematics Curricula can best be described as one that caters for the needs of every child in school. It is based on a framework that has mathematical problem solving as its primary focus. The developments from 1946 to 2012 that have shaped the present School Mathematics Curricula in Singapore are direct consequences of developments in the Education System of Singapore during the same period. This study was set out to investigate perceived understanding of probability concepts of forty-four students from the STAT131 Understanding Uncertainty and Variation course at the University of Wollongong, NSW. Rasch measurement which is based on a probabilistic model was used to identify concepts that students find easy, moderate and difficult to understand. Data were captured from the e-learning Moodle platform where students provided their responses through an on-line quiz. The unit of volume “packing” measurement must be integrated and coordinated in three-dimension. On the other hand, it is revealed the errors that students made on the volume measurement tasks with three dimensional cube arrays are related to some aspects of spatial visualization, such as the skill to \"read off\" two-dimensional representation of solid objects. For those reasons, this research is aimed to develop classroom activities with the use of spatial visualization tasks to support students’ spatial structuring in learning volume measurement. Consequently, design research was chosen as an appropriate means to achieve this research goal. In this research, a sequence of instructional activities is designed and developed based on the hypothesis of students’ learning processes. This underlies the researcher to design a learning of LCM using storytelling, Legend Putri Dayang Merindu (LPDM), which contains situational problem related to LCM. The purposes of this study are to know the role of LPDM in supporting students' ability to understand LCM concept and to generate a student learning trajectory in learning of LCM using LPDM. This research uses methodology of design research consists of three steps (i.e. preliminary design, teaching experiment and retrospective analysis), and the learning approach of realistic mathematic education, labeled by PMRI in Indonesia. From the research result conducted in MIN 1 Palembang can be concluded that the learning of LCM using LPDM has role in supporting students’ ability to understand LCM concept. Therefore, student learning trajectory to understanding LCM concept is started from solving of situational problems based on LPDM until formal solution of LCM. In this case, there are three stages that students through (i.e. understanding concept of multiple, common multiple and LCM) using various strategies in the level situational, model of, model for and formal. Abstrak Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep Kelipatan Persekutuan Terkecil (KPK) di Sekolah Dasar (SD). Hal ini yang mendasari peneliti mendesain pembelajaran KPK menggunakan cerita, Legenda Putri Dayang Merindu (LPDM), yang didalamnya terdapat permasalahan situasional terkait KPK. Untuk itu, Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peranan LPDM dalam mendukung kemampuan siswa untuk memahami konsep KPK melalui strategi yang mereka gunakan; dan menghasilkan lintasan belajar pada pembelajaran KPK menggunakan LPDM. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metodologi desain riset yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan (yaitu preliminary design, teaching experiment dan retrospective analysis, dan pendekatan pembelajaran Pendidikan Matematika Indonesia (PMRI). Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan di MIN 1 Palembang, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran KPK dengan menggunakan LPDM memiliki peranan dalam mendukung kemampuan siswa untuk memahami konsep KPK. Selanjutnya, lintasan belajar siswa untuk pemahaman konsep KPK berawal dari penyelesaian permasalahan situasional pada LPDM hingga 152 Septi Triyani, Ratu Ilma Indra Putri, Darmawijoyo penyelesaian formal KPK. Dalam hal ini terdapat tiga tahapan yang dilalui siswa (yaitu pemahaman konsep kelipatan, kelipatan persekutuan, dan KPK) dengan beragam strategi baik pada tahap situasional, model of, model for dan formal. Standar units often use directly by teacher for learning time measurement. Many researches involved game in designing learning material to facilitate fun and meaningful learning for children. For this reason, learning of time measurement that connect with children’s daily experience was designed. The context of this research was traditional gasing game. The study is situated in implementation of Indonesian version of Realistic Mathematics Education, labeled as PMRI. This research aimed acquire learning trajectory of time measurement using traditional gasing game for the third grader of primary school by describing students’ progress in learning. Design research methodology comprising preparing for the experiment, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis was used. The research was conducted in SD (Sekolah Dasar) Pusri (Pupuk Sriwijaya) Palembang as one of PMRI (Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia) school. The result of the teaching experiment showed that learning design could foster students to experience reinvention of time measurement historically. It stimulated students to emerge their sense of time, measure time using non standar unit, understand the concept of standard unit, and measure time using standar unit. Students’ strategies that were emerged showed students’progress through situation and problems that were provided by traditional gasing game. Keyword: time measurement, gasing, design research, PMRI Abstrak Siswa mengalami kesulitan ketika belajar mengukur waktu karena waktu merupakan nilai yang tidak dapat diindera oleh manusia. Satuan standar sering digunakan secara langsung oleh guru dalam mempelajari pengukuran waktu. Permainan telah banyak diikutsertakan dalam suatu pendesainan pembelajaran untuk mendukung siswa mengalami pembelajaran yang bermakna dan menyenangkan. Hal ini dijadikan dasar untuk mendesain sebuah pembelajaran yang dikaitkan dengan sesuatu yang dekat dengan siswa dalam kehidupannya. Permainan gasing tradisional dijadikan sebagai konteks untuk desain pembelejaran dalam penelitian ini. Pembelajaran menggunakan model PMRI, yang merupakan versi Indonesia dari RME. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan lintasan pembelajaran pengukuran waktu yang menggunakan permainan gasing tradisional di kelas III Sekolah Dasar yang dijelaskan melalui proses perkembangan pemikiran siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode design research yang terdiri dari tahap-tahap preparing for the experiment, teaching experiment, dan 30 Anton Jaelani, Ratu Ilma Indra Putri, Yusuf Hartono analisis retrospektif. Penelitian dilakukan di SD Pusri Palembang sebagai salah satu mitra sekolah PMRI.
